Looks very clean and organized inside. Prices are high! Even though their isn't a sales tax on most groceries, I can find items for less elsewhere. I have seen a few convenience stores with as much stock.Prepared foods, a meat 🍖🥓 counter and a freezer section available.

Great please to get you essential goods instead of the big super market experience. The scale is smaller but the products are good. You still can get your favor ite cereal or a meal for super but you get thru the store quicker

Purchased beverages to take home. Man hit the button to process payment just as I said that the prices were wrong. He told me too late. It was not. He didn’t want to refund the money, but did. Will be watching our statements. Not a pleasant experience. Bad business practices.

This market is excellent!!! I will be going here from now on when in Wells. We were going to a different supermarket down the street and decided to try this place. Will never go back to the other market down the street.

Always open,always stocked up on everything, and a great selection of products. Prices are a bit steep and some stuff you can find cheaper elsewhere. They also have a meat counter and freezer selections. Overall it was a good shopping experience and they do have some products you can't get at Hannaford.

The store is clean enough, but some of the staff are aggressively rude. Freezer is damaged with like 20 feet of products covered in 1" ice crystals. If you're in a position to go elsewhere, you should do so.

So I'm visiting Maine with family and we went to stop for a few things. I first of want to say this store is filthy. Second bathrooms were broken and workers had to page on intercom rudly bathroom are broken. There were a total of 5 ppl working. I got some deli cheese and meat, but had to wait 20 mins to be asked what I would like because the one and only staff member was taking to their friend who visited them.. other than that only one star because I got what I needed!

You can find what you need while on vacation and the prices were reasonable. They have an impressive array of liquor! The store did seem like it was in need of a good cleaning or a facelift. It wasn't dirty but looked more like long-term wear. There are 2 entrances (Rt 1 & Mile Rd) which makes for easy access.

Entry is filthy. Suggested two years ago to replace carpets. Just added a layer of rubber mats - not vacuumed or cleaned on a regular basis. Sad as I like the family run business but makes me wonder of the cleanliness of the meat shop. Good selection of goods and meat. Not cheap but seems to be qualityIf they replace carpets - as they did the doors - will feel more comfortable recommending this local store over Hannafords which is a couple of mikes away. Clean up the entrance, please.

The store smells bad as soon as you enter. A kid employee nearly ran me over with a stocking cart, and then merely smiled at me as he went whizzing by. Great beer and wine section but no pharmaceutical or medecine section? There has to be a better grocery store in Wells.

My husband and I moved up to wells Maine recently. I was at first skeletal going there but I absolutely love it now. No long lines. Quaint store. Breads are very fresh as well as bakery meats and deli and produce. Prices are better then Hannaford.

When I was growing up my dad owned an IGA that was about a quarter the size of the Wells Super IGA. They have a wonderful store, fully stocked with a wonderful selection of grocery items, fresh produce, an extensive deli complete with prime cuts of meat, chicken and fish, and so much more. Hannaford's is fine, but they can't match the personalized help the staff can provide, or the small town atmosphere. Go, you won't be sorry!

i love the iga's--worked at the one in pond cove during high school. iga in wells is the best of corner groceries--it has what you need, and you don't have to face the tide of humanity coursing through the big box down the road. here, it's easy in, easy out, has all the basics and a serendipity or two, treats for bullie. (milk. we're always out of milk in this house.) love Izzy--shes the best!stopped in after getting the boy settled to pick up fresh chicken soup makings-- everything you need in one place, easy. an hour later, the boy was enjoying a steaming bowl of soup and the house smelled like gram's kitchen did on snowy winter days. she always had the soup kettle on.don't miss the raspberry turnover squares in the bakery. i mean, win my heart with anything raspberry, for sure, but these are sooo, so good. not too sweet and a whole lotta flaky. you are what you eat.
