My family and I have been going to Congdon’s since I was a little girl, here I am a grown adult and I always have to stop at Congdon’s. No matter where I am going or coming from, Congdon’s is always on my list. Even living on the other side of the country, I’ll still make it a purpose to stop when I come back North! No other doughnuts will do. Maybe I’m partial, but Congdon’s has the best doughnuts in my opinion! They are also quick and efficient when you get there. So even if they line is long, don’t fear, it’ll go quickly! :)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are available!Kid-friendliness: Plenty of goodies for the kiddos!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access, no stairs!

I grew up going to Congdon’s as a staple of our Maine getaways and have continued that tradition as I’ve gotten older to go every time (most times multiple times) I’m in Maine. Hands down the best doughnuts anywhere! The blueberry fritters are our absolute favorite.When it came time to pick a cake for our wedding, it was a no brainer to do doughnuts from Congdon’s instead. The process was seamless, staff is beyond friendly and helpful, and they were able to execute our (large) order without a problem and with a smile. We are over a month after our wedding and still have guests raving about how amazing the doughnuts were, many of which went the next day to get more.Would give way more than 5 stars if I could. Congdon’s has never disappointed, and is a New England staple.

Wow. I have to say, I’ve been to a lot ofPopular donut bakeries and this one was by far the best. Beats out Grindstone’s in NYC any day of the week. Their honey dipped (aka glazed) is hands down the best I’ve ever had.

My husband and I visit every time we come to Maine! They have the best donuts you will ever have. We talk about them all year long they are just that good. There are a ton of donut flavor options, beverages, breakfast bowls, and more! In the pictures, we have the hash bowl, chocolate cream donut, sugar twist donut, and maple cream donut. The staff is very friendly and please remember to be kind and patient as this place can get insanely busy!

I see no room for improvement here. You are definitely masters of customer service and quality products. It is only a shame when you can't call in a last minute order or check before heading out to see if you are out of something. I understand because that phone would be a full time job. I have always enjoyed your donuts. They are my favorite and worth the 90 minute drive to get there. Thank you for the best lemon filled donuts.

Another great visit to Congdon's during the off season. The family liked the Red Envelopes promotion and appreciated the free items that were in the envelopes. Hopefully you will do that again this coming Holiday Season!Kaleigh, Carol, Mindy, & Heidi are all a rare treasures to be greeted so cheerfully on each and every visit! Always friendly and though we only visit Maine 2-3 times a year, they always remember our names and what we like to order!! They truly make our visits something special to remember.The only suggestion I have is to offer toast with your breakfast bowls. These bowls are so good and offering 2 slices of White, Wheat, or Rye toast would be a great addition to this item. Don't worry -- I still will order donuts to top off a fabulous breakfast bowl and enjoy my coffee with them!Parking: Plenty of parking

We were lucky enough to catch this place on the day we were leaving to head home. They didn't open until Thursday. I understand the hours, I just wish they were open for more of our stay since it was so good. They may be known for their donuts, but don't sleep on their breakfast sandwiches. They were amazing and very reasonably priced. I wish we could have attended the Congdon's After Dark, but breakfast Thursday was all we could be in town for. We did take some donuts for the trip home, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They couldn't guarantee that there was no cross contamination with nuts, but they were great at recommending better options for my daughter's nut allergies. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. Don't be scared of the line out the door. They move it very fast.

Melt in your mouth doughnuts, superior customer service. I was able to order in advance and pick up at the location. As a "foodie" I highly recommend them. My favorite was the chocolate twist, Bavarian cream and apple fritter. So worth the money.

The Donuts are awesome, the service was excellent, the clerk did not get upset as we were trying to do a big order and overwhelmed with the choices and then she asked if it we were traveling and packed them in flat boxes so they would travel better. Exceptional Service- Highly Recommend and we never miss going at least once on vacation.

The donut shop that’s always out of donuts!Great donuts! Terrible management!This is the 4th time in a row that I have come to this “donut shop” an hour or more before closing and they were completely out of donuts!There won’t be a 5th! I’m done with this place!All sorts of people going in and out without any donuts, it’s ridiculous! 🤬

This place is amazing! The donuts are SO good. Even though the line was long and it was busy, we were in and out in 10 minutes. They are a team working together like a well oiled machine! 10/10 reccomend!

I called 4 days ahead to place an order for my entire office, picking up on a Friday morning at 6:00am.I was the first person in the restaurant at exactly 6:00am AND they already had my donut order ready and boxed up for me!Congdon's donuts are the best and so is the Congdon's staff!

Stop by for a yummy breakfast treat. The queue forms starting at 6am so get there early. We splurged on a sample of different donuts - lots of great flavors. The coffee is yummy as well.

Definitely worth the trip from Cumberland Maine. Not my first time here as I've been coming here for many years and STILL worth the trip.The line wasn't too bad today, selection was outstanding, everything was fresh as it should be.Today I tried the Irish Benedict burrito...full, hot, big and definitely filling....totally worth the $12.99 and will absolutely get that again.Service was fast and friendly and it didn't take long for my name to be called to pick up our order...HIGHLY reccomend and DEFINITELY will be back again and again!

Best doughnuts we've ever had. You know the place is good when the line is out the door everyday. We stop and get a dozen to bring home when we are leaving town and sometimes go while we are there for breakfast as well cause that is just as good as the doughnuts. It's also nice that ever doughnut put in the box has a paper around it so they don't get all stuck together

There's so much you can say about Congdon's. All positive. Start with the doughnuts, they're delicious. Great variety, freshly made and as long as you're not going as they're closing, they maintain a great stock throughout the morning.The service is great. If you've ever been there, they have lines waiting as they open and throughout the morning. All the while, the staff serving guests does so in a welcoming and friendly manner. They work as fast as they can go and they do a great job!Our family moved to Wells from NJ about 3 years ago and Congdon's is a staple for all birthdays and when we welcome guests up here. It's a must have and should be on your list when you visit.I can go on longer, but it's not necessary. Just go. Best doughnuts out there!

I love this donut shop!! ( its a restaurant too!) and I've been coming here for years. If you're sitting down get some French toast, it's AMAZING, if you're taking it to go get a bakers dozen. My top picks are the apple fritters, glazed, and raspberry filled...they're really all amazing though. The whoopie pies are also some of the best in Maine.
