I find the selection better than the Hannaford’s in town. Consistently the worst bagging experiences however. Today the girl just threw my meat on top of my waffles and produce. Half of my groceries she haphazardly chucked in the carriage of already bagged groceries. It’s a consistent issue, and I’d almost rather no baggers and more cashiers at this point. To wait in a line 3 to 4 people deep every time you shop and then have the bagger just shove items into bags (extremely slowly I might add) is a bit ridiculous. Either train them how to bag groceries or install self checkouts so it’s a non issue.

We generally shop here all of the time. Lately, the customer service of a couple cashiers have been questionable. Some things are a good buy, but only when you use the app and participate in virtual coupons and rewards.

5:30 on a weekday. Stop in after work and you get 2 cashiers…. At rush hour commute?? And no self check out so you got to wait and wait. And it is way more expensive than Hannaford. Not going back

Very quiet and not crowded at 6pm which is nice. Potatos and carrots were covered by a dark cloth which I'm not sure of why. Deli folks are always very friendly.

I ordered a trolls cake for my daughters birthday and paid 10 dollar to have an image put on it and all it looks like id done musical notes and line and that’s it very disappointed

Because this store is not close to my Home, I do not come here often, and only get things that are not available at the Hannaford in Skowhegan.TODAY✓ Apricot Preserves (x2) that my wife loves.× Calamata Olive Bread (store brand in "bakery")CALL THE NIGHT BEFORE (?)a staff person told me that you can call the night before and they will prepare and hold the Bread for you if they have it. I will try to remember to do this next time and report the results.WHY THIS BREADThis bread is special for my daughter who has been eating it since she was a baby - she is 15 now.

First time shopping here, the place was less than sanitary. Puddles all over by the meat department. The food looked a bit outdated. The cashier, seemed to be annoyed and was very unpleasant. Will not be returning.

Have now ordered groceries delivered quite a bit from our local Shaw's, and several times they have offered buy 2 get 2 type deals, but when items were ordered the ones I paid for were in stock, but the free items were out of stock, and no discount was given. Their customer service email only replies with scripted copy whining about supply chains without addressing the actual issue: they charged me full price but only delivered half the items.

Been going to my particular Shaws for 16+ years. Staff has always been friendly and helpful and seeing the same faces after so many years show how well the management does it's job. The rewards program actually rewards and despite the inflation of meats and dairy products there are many smart deals to save with.

Decent selection and usually some sales going on to save a few cents. Typically there aren't enough registers open, leading to extended wait times for check out. Also they want to charge 5¢ for bags...I'm already spending $180+ every time I go in, how about you throw me a couple free ones like the old days?😤

The cleanest store around except their bathrooms need some heavy cleaning. Many choices and don't feel crowded when walking down aisles!Would of got a 5 star if not for the bathrooms.

As is usual staffing at checkout lanes is lacking customer consideration. The cashiers are functioning properly re:scanning items however there are very rarely any employees packing customers purchases. I do note that in trying to alleviate customer wait time they open 4-5 lanes, however again no employee to bag groceries.I for one am not impressed

I called multiple times today, 5/24/23, in order to inquire about if they carried steamers or quahogs and every time I was transferred to the seafood department: no one answered. I called back after waiting over 10 minutes each time which was led up with an apology and another 10 plus minutes of waiting. You've lost out on a very large sale as I was planning to pick up a minimum of 10 pounds of steamers and some quahogs. Maybe if you people knew how to answer the phone: I wouldn't be leaving this review. Not impressed.

It would be awesome if they wouldn't bag your bread and veggies with your heavy boxes of pet food so when you get home, your bread is all smashed up, and your veggies are beat up and bruised. Great way to waste your money.

The staff was super friendly both in the Floral section and at the checkout. They had a petty good selection, especially in the tea section which was cool. It's a large store so they should have most of what you need. They won't have as much vegan stuff as Hannaford but it's still a good selection. The only odd thing was that there are no self-checkouts, would be a great addition.

Review 11/04 2022 1 star:I am semi-responsible for an apartment complex with a well, where the water wasn’t drinkable. I needed to get at least a 12-pack of water per unit to ensure they have water to drink and cook with (water has been set as not consumable by state authorities).I get 20 packages of 12-packs, and the cashier Ginny, sighs out loud “well, will you look at that, sigh”, yells for someone to come over, and I had no problems flipping the package so she could scan it.Apparently it was bothering her so much, that the following customers (who didn’t buy water) was told how much water I had purchased, how I shouldn’t be allowed to buy that much, etc.It must have bothered the customers, because they came to me outside and said she (Ginny) was stabbing me in the back in there.I called the store manager, Tanya Naborowsky, who replied when I told her I didn’t appreciate the comments from Ginny, and that I really could shop elsewhere, that water in bottles are pretty scarce right not, people shouldn’t come in and grab that many bottles of water.What Ginny should have done: Process the order as the lousy cashier she is, and stop running her mouth.What the store manager should have said/done: Apologize for the rude behavior of the cashier, agreeing they are a store who wants to sell the stuff on their shelves or floor demos, definitely not saying “you can certainly shop anywhere you like” (as if I didn’t already know that).Review from a year ago 4 stars:The store has a lot of varieties, and they certainly try to stay on top of it, by filling shelves and dishing out trying new items out to see if they’ll sell. Usually have a super friendly staff always there to assist with any questions.A couple of times I have gotten items there beyond the “best before” date, and didn’t notice until I got home.Certainly, I probably could just bring it back, but is it really worth the time, and who said “best by” date is always correct?!For example, most Brie’s and Camemberts aren’t even ripe at that end date.

I drive 45 minutes to use the pharmacy there bc their service is amazing and the employees have been especially nice and courteous to me. I highly recommend this pharmacy. Great place and great people!

The male cashier stood and watched me as I bagged 4 bags of groceries by myself. He also cashed up the next customer and bagged her groceries while I finished bagging mine. Maybe he was offended I started bagging my groceries so he decided to just stand and watch me? As a gesture of kindness, I always help the cashiers until they are done cashing me out. I believe this poor service was isolated with this particular cashier.

We get our Sale Flyer on Thursday, Sale starts Friday. By 5pm Friday over 80 percent of product on sale are Gone! An NO RAINCHECKS. I would rather just shop elsewhere. I don't have to wonder if Sale Items are gone?!
