This place is either a hit or miss, it's always a surprise. Keep in mind a lot of the food is expired but not all. Just be sure to check the dates. They honestly have a little bit of everything. The workers have always been friendly. I recommend you check this place out.

Wow! Blown away with kindness. My card wasn’t working when I went to checkout and the cashier came running after me into the parking lot with my items saying someone took care of it or it was covered. Feeling blessed and grateful!!!

The customer service here is horrible. The workers act miserable. Are rude to the customers cause their machines suck. Won't be going back any time soon. I thought people were lying but apparently not.

Caswell sells lot of Grocery store products at discounted prices. They pass along clearance prices to benefit customers. There are a LOT of outdated products, so buying those are at your own risk, but may items are still safe to consume. They also have many non-grocery items and those are discounted too. Watch your prices! Some things are great deals. Others might not save you anything. Smart shoppers can leave the money on your side of the table!

I call it the Used & Abused Food Store - this may not entirely reflect the quality of the items they have at all times, because sometimes they have awesome deals, other times I wouldn’t pick it up too even look at. Be careful with expiration dates and dented cans (don’t go over a month past the last expiration date, and NEVER purchase a dented can). It ALWAYS pays to look - you Kenner know what you’re going to find, and is my first stop on my grocery runs, as I can sometimes get stuff here that is a third or more of the price in comparison to other stores.

Lots of stuff. Some things are priced too high but there are a lot of good deals. Something there for everyone! I've been shopping there since I was a kid with my parents and sister. Ladies at cash out are always friendly.

Great discounts. Friendly staff, love shopping this place . Never know what you'll find. Can't beat the offer prices. Fresh butter, Cabot cheeses. You just have to have the time to walk the Isles and really check every thing out. You'll never leave there without a bundle. Been many times and it always the same. Awesome . I never leave there without a cart full.

I went there about 15 years ago and today I just Revisited the prices are awesome! It's a no frills store! The reason why we pay so much elsewhere is because we're paying for all that! Caswell's is a grocery liquidation store awesome prices and very friendly people

Before shopping here, you need to know what you're getting in to. Many products are past their sell by dates, but with extremely little exception, completely serviceable for your normal groceries.Prices are very good. I never have concern about comparison shopping. Many high quality products that I'd never purchase at the normal grocery store are here, at prices comparable to the lower end version of the product.Through the pandemic they have somehow managed to keep their supply chain strong. Even selling disposable face masks for lower prices than anywhere I could find online.Caswell's is a local treasure, and I'm glad I live close to it!

The type of place people would consider a store for poor people. That may be true to a point, but I'm telling you, go check it out sometime. I can save some good money shopping here. This place is either a hit or miss depending on when you go. They do have things more organized than the last time I went (2015). Always check the expiration dates, things are either expired or near expiring. I got a decent amount of snacks and canned goods for under $20 today (not expired items). Not the best place for meat and frozens, they have items from 2014 still in the freezer.. A plus is fresh bread, milk, eggs and dairy products. You CAN get some great steals. If you have some time to look through boxes and check dates to save a decent amount of money, come here.

I have gotten some really good deals here on "not the norm" items. Staff has a large board in back that tells them how long after an expiration date an item can still be used and sold. Staff friendly and very helpful with questions.

I went there today for the first time. I was blown away, I spent 20 minutes in there Nearly every item I picked up (and I picked up at least 20) was expired. They had piles and piles of inedible candy that had been manufactured a year ago! There was salad dressing that was six months past it's due date. Some of the aisles just contained piles of random, unorganized product. It was disgusting. Why would people buy this stuff? 95% of the food is literally trash that belongs in a landfill. I do not understand how this is a successful business. Crazy. You could probably find better, safer food dumpster diving. And it would cost you nothing.

No longer a good place to save money from.. The food is always expired or near expiration, they knowingly let employees work while covid positive when most of their customers are elder. They have water leaking out from under the freezers and coolers all summer long. And they even have a squirrel infestation in the warehouse that come out to the store. Pathetic excuse of a store.
