Great place to shop local if you need something for a home improvement project. Get my propane tank there for my grill and generator. Love shopping local and the people are friendly, helpful, and amazing!

The staff here are amazing and very knowledgeable about everything from plumbing, electrical, even basic car repair! I drive out of my way to go to this location because I know I'll be treated well and will leave happy. They explain things in a way that anyone can understand and don't rush you in and out, like Lowes and Home Depot.

Plummer's is an excellent Ace Hardware store, they usually have what I need and the folks working there are always helpful, even if some of them aren't particularly knowledgeable about hardware or born rocket scientists, if you get my drift. But some of their staff *are* highly knowledgeable on the other hand, and all of them try their best. Todd Plummer, one of the owners, will bend over backwards locating and ordering a specialized part for you too if they don't stock it, and while he doesn't work at this location he is reachable by phone and will have your part delivered to this location for pickup. I am so glad Plummer's hardware is so close to me, they have saved me countless longer drives to Lowe's or Home Depot. ☺

I walked in and immediately was greeted by a very nice gentleman. He asked if he could help me and I told him what I was looking for and another gentleman said come with me I'll show you where they are. And then another young gentleman show me where something else was. Everybody was very very friendly very nice and one of your employees went overboard with helping me. I couldn't get my car door to shut properly and he came out and checked it out for me and got it fixed. I was very grateful for that. I wish I had taken the time to know their names so I could tell you. But I was very pleased with everything and everybody.

This is a typical local hardware store but it seems to be better stocked than most. Every time I go in looking for something I assume they won't have, I'm pleasantly surprised. In fact, hardware like screws and nails is actually a few pennies cheaper here than it is at the big box place down the road. In addition, I hardly ever see an empty spot on the shelf--which is a huge plus in itself. Some of the staff seem to be new at their jobs and I've witnessed customers having trouble with keys they've had made on two separate occasions. Other than that,this is my new go-to before I head to the home improvement store.

Sadly this Ace does not have the selection that the one in Kennebunk has. The employees are a little clueless and the new manager thinks he is too good for the place. They used to be really good about honoring the $5 off coupons that come in the mail, even if you forgot your at home. Well the new manager absolutely refused when this happened to me recently.Will continue going here as it is very conveniently located but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice hardware store.

Pretty helpful folks. No pressure buying experience. Usually have what I need for small projects around the house. If you have a handy person or green thumb on your gift list, you might find some great ideas here, with out getting lost in the big boxes.
