This store is fantastic. Everything is well stocked. The store is spacious. Everything looks and smells very clean. The staff is awesome. They are friendly, kind, welcoming, and helpful. I couldn't say enough great things about this store. I am more than happy to travel from out of town to make this my go to Hannaford.

So excited to encounter all the dogs roaming the store each time I’m in doing my food shopping I can only hope that so many more people hear about this and they all bring their dogs in too! One of them was a big dog who a small child was not able to control. So many exciting changes each time we shop!

The pharmacy!The lady there straight up lies. I obtained a SPINAL CORD injury and she REFUSED to give me my RX. She asked me my name, I told her, she grabbed the meds… and then said that I couldn’t have them.! She refused to look up my ins info… she , instead, insisted that I didn’t have any ins.( I do)It was ultimately resolved by a different pharmacist the next day ( today) My file was easily accessible by looking up my last name… but I had to go home and wait 15 hours , not to mention I had to GO BACK with a broken back!!! Causing ever MORE damage to my injury!Not only was that woman’s behaviour unprofessional and discriminatory, but incredibly dangerous.Zero FKN stars hannaford.But maybe a lawsuit, as I see I’m not the only one who’s had this problem…..

The store is always clean, well maintained and well stocked. The staff is helpful and friendly, making the shopping experience pleasant and welcoming. Parking is very easy and there is lots available. Sometimes there is an unnecessarily long wait in line at the pharmacy, but all other checkouts run quickly and smoothly.My only real criticism is that I find the prices to be higher than my favorite, the Market Basket.Through no fault of theirs, there are some shortages caused by supply chain issues as of April, 2020 so it's not always possible to find shelves well stocked.I'm very disappointed that their app's coupons don't always register at the checkout after they've been clipped. Cashiers explain that it sometimes takes 24 hours for clipped coupons to be activated. That is ridiculous!

This Hannaford Supermarket is actually quite nice, well kept and very clean. I like the layout of the store because it makes for good shopping flow for customers.Hannaford carries a great variety and this store is no exception. They have a pharmacy tucked away in the front of the store. There is an excellent selection of wine, beer and hard alcoholic beverages. They offer fresh meat & seafood. The meat section is large and looked well-stocked. Plus there is a terrific produce section.I was here on a Monday and found many items out of stock, something common during the Covid-19 pandemic. I feel sure at least part of the out of stocks were because of the weekend shoppers.All things considered this is a nice Hannaford Supermarket. I deducted one star due to the large number of out of stock items when I was there. So many days it may rate that 5th star.

This is my go-to grocery store. My favorite one is in Dover, NH, but that's an hour commute. This one, however, has booze you can purchase, unlike the Dover store. I'm always pleased with the produce department, the meat, and the fish departments. The variety and quality are always there. The staff is always courteous, and I have had good experiences here.

I guess that I am too old; I can remember when Hannaford meant good service.My wife and I thought that we would visit the deli counter at Waterbor as the Buxton one closed down and now only has prepackaged meats and cheeses. You can no longer order what you want or how thick you want it. "They" say all their products are packaged daily. Thus, they must give a lot away at the end of the day or sell it for premade sandwiches,We were there recently and were looking for a certain meat and cheese and could not find it prepackaged. There was a 'closed today' sign in front of what was part of the old deli display. We saw the sign above it that said 'closed today' but we scanned the display case just to see if they still carried hot pastrami. That was a no no as a rude clerk came over and snareled at us :We are closed today" pointing to the sign. Customer service?????Hannaford (fka Shop 'N Save) customers for over 50 years, we now do our bulk shopping at Market Basket. Looks like we will have to trek over to Westbrook or down to Biddeford for our fill-ins as well.Liked is better when the chain was run out of Scarborough v. the European Union, now.

The Waterboro Hannaford is "my" store. The employees are helpful. The produce manager actually took time to talk with me & taught me things.As a rule the bathroom is clean.The fish department often smells fishy. Fresh fish doesn't stink. Before buying fish I ask to smell it & the fish I smelt wasn't stinky.Love their return policy. There's never been a problem.

Hannaford, generally has fresh produce which is great. However, in the Waterboro store, they have eliminated a lot of food items that they used to carry, but they have increased the amount of liqueur and have built a whole room to accommodate beer.This was a real disappointment. I have to go to other grocery stores much farther away to get groceries now.It’s a nice clean store, but they have also changed their way of stocking things to during the day while you are shopping instead of at night like they used to do so no employees and boxes etc.. are in the way.The employees are always pleasant and well trained, so they are always helpful if you need anything.Christina Lawyer

Last week I bought "fresh" haddock. When I was ready for preparing it for dinner, It smelled like old mackerel. In the trash. This week I bought chicken thighs (good for seven days). I planned on cooking right away. When I opened it up I couldn't believe the stench. Guess where that went. Don't buy anything "fresh" from Hannaford Waterboro unless it is crawling in a tank.

I've been disappointed in the quality of meat here lately. Last week (Thursday) I had bought 4 red hot dogs from the deli and Friday I cooked them for dinner..they were rancid. The hamburger meat, looks good but tastes gross. I think that I'll be frequenting a butcher until things here change...

This market did impress me with their cleanliness. The aisles and shelves are also very organized. I went to cash out and the cashier noticed something wrong with one of my items so the gentlemen who was bagging my groceries went to replace my item for me so I didn't have to leave the line. These guys went Above and beyond to help me out which definitely brings back repeat customers

Very neat and well stocked. I love that the isles are wide so you don't feel cramped when shopping. All of the staff is very kind and helpful. Added bonus there are a ton of self checkout stations so it allows for a speedy in and out shopping experience.

Decent store to shop at but the Togo experience is garbage. Had been either last 3 times I used it. If you need groceries just go to the store it's not worth the hassle of missing items calling having to go back out and pick them up or waiting for a refund that takes a week to get to you. The Togo staff doesnt oay attention to detail at all. I've literally been told that they don't have an item and then after I pick up my groceries I go in the store and it's fully stocked on the shelves. They are sending out gift cards if they mess up your order but honestly that only goes so far when every experience is bad and leaves you wondering "how does this happen every time?"

I have to say, I have not been in a more warming, cleanly, organized Hannaford! I'm live in the neighborhood, and this morning making my run, there wasn't one employee that didn't say "Good Morning", offered assistance, and was in a great mood! It was clean and stocked beautifully, glass doors being wiped down, and smelling freshly cleaned! The self checkout was flawless, and the cashiers were waiting to assist! Leaving and entering), the lady was cheerful and acknowledged my presence. I couldn't describe a better "neighborhood market"... so impressed with everything!

We have twins and needed a specific kind of formula and have been checking stores everywhere and online. We saw that this Hannaford in Waterboro had some. We ordered online in the early morning as to secure that we would get the formula so our twins could be fed this coming week, but they didn’t try to fill our order until late afternoon and the specific formula we needed was already gone. We couldn’t get there earlier in the day so I thought if we ordered it online it would be saved for us. Cannot trust this store to hold online orders.

The prices are reasonable for the area. I found prices are higher here than in PA. They do have good (sometimes great) sales so it's always good to check out the ads. Steak selection is usually very good. Seafood is just Okay. Prices can be high. Store was VERY clean and that's a plus.

Good supermarket. Friendly staff. Has everything you would expect. Cannot remember ever going and them being out of stock of what I needed. My go to store for groceries. Still the same, although since COVID sick in some sections is lower, like pasta.

Great small town atmosphere. Hard to checkout as many stores don't want to or have enough staff to staff more than a couple registers, so you usually have 4 or 5 people ahead of you with full grocery carts. Otherwise, I still give them a 5 as they are very courteous & friendly even dealing with some rude customers.

I had some wonderful assistance bringing my groceries out to my car and unloading them into my car. I'm very appreciative for everything that all if the staff do. I am also grateful for all the wonderful and cheery cashiers and other employees!!

Some things r still not stocked but prices are still a little cheaper than other grocery stores and still a lot to choose from. They have a few cashiers so you don't have to self scan if you don't want to
