Very affordable and darn good. Best mom and pop pizza in the middle of nowhere. Fresh toppings, and plenty of them. Weird pizza options which makes this place stand out. The subs were great as well. Very Very glad we rolled the dice and got something different this time.

You can likely find a general store in any small town in Maine, but there may be none comparable to the Washington General Store. The ambiance, affordability, creativity and kind service sets this store apart from the rest. For example, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and Quintin the cook came and found me in the store (vs yelling my name from behind a counter) to tell me they had run out of an ingredient. He suggested I try a breakfast sandwich with ham on a spinach and feta croissant instead. In taking his suggestion I had the absolute best breakfast sandwich ever!!!! Thank you Quintin! You will fall in Love with everything about Washington General Store!!

My husband and I took a trip to a surrounding town for our anniversary and we’re looking for a place to grab some takeout on our first night. We ordered two pizzas and a Greek salad and everything was absolutely spectacular! We even found some nostalgic snacks and drinks from when we were younger which was so much fun.We loved it so much that we came back to grab breakfast on the go which was equally as delicious. The staff were kind and welcoming and the supplies were bountiful for all your needs.I would highly recommend checking out the Washington General Store if you are in Camden or any surrounding town!

Food was excellent; veggies especially tasty & fresh. A bit of a wait for prepared food, but easily worth it & they DO encourage ordering ahead. Also an amazing selection of beverages on top of all sorts of household sundries (even "green bags" for the transfer station).

Washington General is a hidden gem. The food is absolutely delicious. Best pizza around. Excellent baked goods, sandwiches, and pre packaged meals to go. Party platters are beautiful, and are always a big hit. hey nice selection of beer, wine, and gifts made by locals. The environment is warm and cozy. Worth the trip!

This place is such a good find. I drive 30 minutes to get to WG and it’s always 100% worth it. The food has always been top notch. I’ve had pizza, Sandwiches and salads, All great. I always leave with a bag of baked goods too. Don’t settle for gas station food. Treat yourself to real food.

I stop here many days after I finish delivering packages for FedEx. The staff is always friendly. The restroom is clean. The store is nicely organized and offers a selection of local goods. They make sandwiches and fresh baked goods. There is a place to sit down and eat.

Some baked goods are incredible by any standard. This is not a sketchy fried bologna sandwich shop, it's a legit delicious lunch spot! Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Also, not many alternatives! They sell beer to drink there and six packs to go. Basic groceries. Small hardware section.

I'm from Chicago where we are popular for the famous "Chicago Style Pizza" and Washington Generals "breakfast pizza" is HANDS DOWN THEE BEST PIZZA I have ever tasted in my life!!! I've never had pizza melt in my mouth like that🤯❤! The Pastries BLEW my taste buds away as well!! The customer service matched the taste of their food. I'd give them 100 stars if I could! GO CHECK THEM OUT!!

There are 4 convenience/general stores within 5 miles of our farm, and this one is by far the best, with fresh ingredients and a selection of products that are a far cry from the packaged garbage available at most general stores in the area. Washington General also makes the best pizza around, and daily lunch specials like meatloaf and cheesy potatoes, BLT+Avocado wraps and more are all unique, fresh, and delicious. We consider this store to be a "healthier" choice, and you can find fresh breads, cheese, meats, veggies, and other local farm-produced items on the shelves. The store is a little more expensive than others (and there's no gas), but you get what you pay for! ;-)
