Had an awesome experience with Dot&Millie’s tonight! the food was 4startsYet, the waitress “Anna” who toke care of us was AMAZING! And this is why I’m giving 5 starts! She was so friendly, sweet, knowledgeable about the dishes and worked hard to accommodate our preferences!The dinner room was cozy, the view lovely, we ordered 3 starters, 3 entree and, 4 deserts !Yummy yamoo 😋😋😋😋❤️❤️❤️

So, my first time here in Vinalhaven and Dot & Millie’s was recommended by a friend who’s visiting and came with his parents. They totally delivered. Ordered a salad (fresh) that came out VERY fast. We ordered the Spinach and Cheese Ravioli and Lobster Pasta—both were fresh and delicious. They close beginning of October (8th) until Memorial Day. Check them out!

Great experience here. You need a reservation! They have some great food. I ordered steak frites which was great except they undercooked my ‘medium rare’ steak so it was completely red. They took it off the bill. Even with that happening I still had a great experience. The chocolate raspberry cake was amazing.

Garden salad with roasted corn, cherry tomatoes and bits of lobster was tasty but too small.They charge six dollars for bread and then if you order it they bring you more than two people can eat with lots of butter too cold to spread on it.The airline chicken tasted pretty good, but it was on the dry side and you needed a steak knife to cut it. Came with a very small portion of green beans. I don't care for them over-cooked but these were slightly undercooked, to my taste. Even so, I would've appreciated a more decent-sized portion.Before you get there, they repeatedly warn you via text that you can only have a table for 90 minutes and then your time is up. A well-run restaurant can usually get by without pushing this message so aggressively. Most people eat too fast and some people like to spend a couple of hours at dinner. It usually works out.The prices were reasonable (except charging for bread). Waitress was attentive.Will definitely look around for another restaurant in this wonderful town.Date of visit: August 2023.

If you plan to visit Vinalhaven, make sure Dot & Millie's is open and you have a reservation. Because there is nowhere else decent to eat. You've been warned. We loved the food and atmosphere here. You'll get a strong vibe of islanders-come-first, tourists-can-be-tolerated. Perhaps they are not self-aware of their behavior. Don't let it wreck enjoying good food.

Wow! My wife and I needed a great place to have a special meal together and Dot & Miie's didn't disappoint! The short ribs (essentially a pot roast) was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. My wife has Celiac and the staff were not only understanding and quick to assist with ordering to suit her needs, they were happy to bring her french fries as an App - DEDICATED OIL!! (a total rarity and why fries can suddenly become a special treat!). My lobster pasta was well prepared and very well balanced with the grape tomatoes. Due to an unexpected schedule situation, we enjoyed it so much we came back the next night for a repeat performance! My order arrived overdone, but our server (who was outstanding both nights!) got it squared away for us straight away - the food was good, the views were great, and the standout front of house team made both nights a perfect treat for us. We'll be back for sure next time motha and I can swing a date night!

Just ate here ! The restaurant is lovely inside. We sat in the back room and it was airy and pretty, with a view of the harbor through the windows. Food was just so/so. We all felt that every dish was underseasoned by a fair bit. Most everything was "just okay" flavour wise, but everything was cooked skillfully. Chicken skin was crispy (one portion was a bit dry), potatos and veggies were cooked perfectly, and the pasta and lobster was done correctly. Just not enough seasoning on anything. The desserts were yummy, specifically the bread pudding. It's a stand out, SO good. The ginger creme brulee was a miss. It was eggy and we didn't think the ginger complimented it. It felt a bit mismatched having a $225+ dinner before tip and having paper napkins and craft paper on the table also.

Stars for: restaurant super cute. Demerits: waitress was super rude and acted like us showing up was a huge inconvenience- you don’t have to be our friend, you should do your job competently. Food was sub par. Short ribs were in fact, a pot roast. I get it- it’s this or The Sand Bar; but at these prices they should pretend to care.Summary: if you’d like to be treated poorly and eat mediocre food, while paying $200 for the privilege(party of 4)- this is your spot.
