If you haven't been to Fieldstone Gardens in Vassalboro, I recommend you take a little trip and go there. What a beautiful location!!! It is a little off the wall on how to get to it cause you feel like you are driving up someone's driveway, technically you are, and you have to watch for outgoing traffic since there isn't much room. Once you get there and park, you are surrounded by all different kinds of trees, flowers, bushes, and smells. They have a wonderful variety to choose from and don't forget to take a little walk to the back field 😀

Aaaaammmmmaaaaazzzzing. Such a peaceful and relaxing place to go. It felt more like a botanical garden, not a nursery. Gorgeous rock walls everywhere, manicured grass and lawns, rolling fields, and green, luscious views everywhere you look. Definitely worth a visit, even if your not looking for plants, if which they have plenty for sale. Another great feature is that the plants are over wintered, so try hey have a better chance of lasting wherever you plant them.

A wonderful place for plant lovers to visit any time of the year. It is a large landscaped property that has a fairy garden appeal. Plan to do some walking to enjoy it all. Nice sitting areas also enhance the experience.

Mainly a catalog nursery, the grounds are beautiful and there is a small retail shop. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely rural setting with a tree farm abutting. They tell me the trees are future telephone poles.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! It's very well kept in the main garden area, but there are other places to explore beyond the gardens, in the woods that are not as well kept but that's understandable, just look at the main garden 😂😂 my fiance and i take our dog here and he loves it as much as we do! Please check them out, they are so worth a visit!!

Very disappointing, had been here once before and managed to get a few nice plants. I came back looking to fill a few holes in my garden and saw a Cherry tree and a spruce that I liked and some smaller plants. Of the 4 employees we saw not a single one could acknowledge us with even a simple hello. Most plants do not have prices on them, many looked diseased and sick, there was a whole patch of rudbeckia covered in powdery mildew. Where the large perennials are many where knocked over on the ground and had dead branches and overall where poorly kempt, there where dead trees mixed in. We went to the counter wanting to purchase a few plants and rang the bell at least half a dozen times over 5 minute span and where within 10 feet of 2 employees who where having a conversation who would not acknowledge us, they where blocking the path to the parking lot and we walked right around them and yet again no acknowledgment. We decided to drive over to Plants Unlimited in Rockland it’s a further drive then I wanted to make but employees there are friendly and will actually answer your questions, they where happy to alleviate my wallet of several hundred dollars.

Such a lovely place. The view is so gorgeous and the air is filled with the sounds of birds chirpping . Very friendly staff, and there are many cute decorations along the grounds. Only complaint is that not every plant is clearly priced, especially outside the greenhouses. They have a very nice gift shop with many small decorations and antique-looking pieces.Pro-tip: Be aware that the driveway going up there is very narrow, very much 1 car at a time only and when coming in, go left at the fork, it's not labeled, but there is parking when you get out back behind the house.

This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away in an unassuming corner, you would never guess that there are acres of beautiful, well tended gardens to walk through. The fields are bordered by a mature tree farm. They offer perennials, trees, and annuals for sale in an adorable little gift shop. Amenities included parking, a drinking fountain, and a rustic restroom.

I absolutely love this place.. breathtaking gardens.. peacefully stroll through.. rest and enjoy the beauty on one of the benches or seats throughout the gardens. Tons of plant varieties and very knowledgeable staff. Many garden accessories too! A must visit.. for a garden shopping trip or a quiet break in your day! You can check them out online too!

As the past president of the York County Master Gardeners Association, I have always been impressed with Fieldstone. Fieldstone was always the first to come to our aid, or work with us on a new project. The grounds are worth the trip, as they are a most enjoyable experience. The products are quality, and, if you have items shipped, Fieldstone does a great job in caring for everything they ship. Good prices, wonderful people to work with, and a quality product that you know will do well in colder climate!In my 10 years of being a Maine Master Gardener, Fieldstone Gardens has been my most rewarding find.

Fieldstone Gardens, hidden away in Vassalboro, has absolutely anything the Maine gardener could need. Locally grown perennials, hardy shrubs, and fruit trees all grown on site give these plants an edge on Maine's harsh environment. The landscaping service can do any size project, from creating a hillside flower meadow to putting in a small blue stone patio! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and it's well worth a trip to just wander around on a summer day and enjoy the plants and sunshine. Bring a picnic lunch, and walk through the day lily beds; stroll through the peonies and see what strikes your fancy. Fieldstone is a great place, stop by and see for yourself.

As a Horticulture professional I would recommend Fieldstone Gardens to anyone. They provide top notch service and expertise. The grounds are very impressive and offer a park like setting. You could easily spend a couple hours wandering around admiring the Landscaping and plant selection or enjoying a picnic under the apple trees. The plant selection is vast. They offer types of plants and cultivars that you will not find at other perennial nurserys in the state. The glass greenhouse is a good place to find annuals and vegetable seedlings and the gift shop offers unique items many of which are local. Whether you are looking to purchase plant material or are just looking to discover a new place Fieldstone Gardens is a must.

Great retail garden center with locally adapted / climatized plants. Anyone can wander the fields, gardens, and trails. Off the beaten path, but a really special place. They've done a admirable job of preserving an old country farm.

I went to the openhouse and they had a lot of nice dlowering and ornimental plants to choose from with great prices. Unfortunately the food garden selections were limited. The staff seeemed very friendly and ready to help customers find what they are looking for. The display gardens give a feel to how the plants will look in your own yard.

A pleasant place to walk around, enjoying the plants and flowers, while those who know what they're after are examining, collecting, and purchasing. There's a small building with equipment and tools (I remember bird feeders in particular, since we bought one here years ago).

A hidden gem just outside of Waterville. Family operated garden with greenhouse and everything garden themed trinkets and gifts shop. They also host photo, walking and birding events, among other topics!
