Mangers are very friendly , my buddy forgot his jacket and they let us borrow one until his arrived.. very accommodating. They do what they can to make your stay pleasant .

Meg & Brian were extremely accommodating to everything our group needed. Rooms were clean and nice and everything worked (i.e heat, hot water, wifi) highly recommend and you can't beat the price and service. Bleau is awesome!!See you next year Meg & BrianSkip&Brandt Schneider

pet friendly but you have to take your dog with you everywhere you go. Wanted to get dinner with the family but couldn't because they informed me that pets can't be left in the room. So if you have a dog you need to take them to dinner with you..Otherwise the staff were professional. Friendly. They're working on updating the place. I'm more of a person that likes to have more amenities nearby.. but if you're a hiker or running the trails this would be the place..Rooms: Getting updated.. they're trying..

I would 100% Not recommend this hotel.I rented 2rooms for my family for a wedding that we were part of. Check in time is normally 3pm but bc we were in the wedding we needed to be in the room by 11. We offered to pay for an early check in and the owner was very nice and told me that it was ok without a charge bc the rooms were not rented the day before so they would be avail. any time we arrived. We told her it would be 11 or a little earlier. She said no problem. We arrived at 1035 the entire hotel was locked as if closed. The main office u could see inside, no one at the desk and all the lights out. We rang a doorbell and waited. A couple min later a lady came to the door looking very confused& irritated asked how she could help us. I explained that we had 2 rooms rented for the night that we had spoken with the owner who told us it wouldn't be an issue to come and check in early. She very rudely told me that that was her &she had said we could check in at 11am as a courtesy and not before. I said oh ok...so we will have to wait? she said yes and bc the rooms werent ready. (on the phone she had said the rooms were not rented anyway so I thought it strange they weren't ready)We drove 4 hours to get there and had two sm. children in need of diaper changes and really just needing the room so We explained how far we just drove and wanted to know if we could get some food or drinks as there was a restaurant there in the main office but she said they were closed and would "just have to wait" she then closed the door in my face and locked it! She didn't even invite us inside to sit down in the lobby so we just had to wait outside in the parking lot. We waited until 11am exactly and no one came to the door to get us. Someone drove inthe parking lot and asked us how we were doing We expressed we would be doing a lot better if we could get into our rooms. Turned out the ppl were some kind of Co owners from another hotel and were there to do some work in the location. The woman went inside and found the original women I spoke with and discussed us waiting and we were promptly let inside where both of the women waited on us. The woman who let us in was super kind and was friendly with my children while the owner I believe whose name is Penny looked very annoyed by our presence. She gave us our key and signed for our room we thanked them and left.When we got back outside we saw where the rooms were & realized that no one had entered either room the entire time she had us waiting outside bc the rooms"wasn't ready" so she had us wait for no reason..? We know no one had entered bc we were made to sit outside and wait and the rooms are directly in front of where we parked, and the hotel is very small. Upon entering we could see the room was in rough shape. It smelled badly. There were large stains all over the carpet everywhere. It was cold inside. The bedding didn't match underneath which is fine just found odd. Upon looking around I could see the shades broken& missing panels so there was a lack of privacy bc room was on the ground floor. There was dirty stains on some of the blinds as well along with some, what I assume anyway, was dried food on the walls. The vent in the bathroom was absolutely filthy with major dust built up looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a year at least. The other room was much in the same condition. The internet did not work either and when i went to ask if they had it they said the town had lines destroyed a few weeks back and the internet wasn't working right since then. So I was unable to do some work I needed to do in my down time there. The kicker to all of this was that there was no heat. It's October in maine and the law is that heat can't be below 68. There was a nice heat pump in the room I noticed at arrival so assumed we would be good. So we got ready and left for the wedding. When we returned everyone got ready for bed and it was cold so we attempted to turn it on. There was no remote or way to turn it on at all. There was a thermostat also but was shut off and could not be turned on.Rooms: The rooms were dirty and lacked privacy due to missing blind panels. There also was internet that allowed you to connect to it but wouldn't work beyond that at all. I'm unable to figure out how to post the photos of how dirty the rooms were from the filthy fan vent in the bathroom to the massive stains all over the carpet but if I figure out how to do so I will be sure to update.Safety: We were not offered a place to sit upon arrival and had to stand outside in the parking lot which felt an unsafe place to wait with children. The excuse was the room was not ready after being told it wasn't rented rhe day before and no one entered rhe room the entire time we waited.Food & drinks: There was a restaurant there but closed the entire time we were there. The sign says the office doesn't open until 9am but when wearrived at 1030 am it was still closed and locked with no lights on. We were offered no refreshments and had to find alternative places to eat.Noteworthy details: I ran out of room but no heat was available at all it got to 66 degrees in the night my children were cold and we used all the spare blankets available. 66 degrees in maine is illegal. Its october and for there to be no heat is completely unacceptable. There was no one in the office to help and no one answered the phones when we tried to call for help. I will note the other room we rented did have a remote to their heat pump and they did have heat which that room was for our elderly parents. The owners are a married couple and while we had little interaction with them the husband did seem nice while the wife was extremely rude and treated us as if we put her out. I took several photos of the room and how unclean it looked. I hope I'm able to post them as proof along with this review. Normally I do not do reviews but this was hands down the worst stay I have ever had my entire life. The fact that there was no heat was not ok. UPDATE TO REPLY BACK TO THE HOTEL: her name may have not been Penny she was the manager on site. However there was no remote for a heat pump anywhere in our room as we searched for it and we did see one in the 2nd room we rented so we knew what it looked like. And 3rd it may not be a restaurant but it is a seating area where u offer breakfast so let's not split hairs there please. The fact is the on site "manager" treated my family very poorly and those rooms were not rented at all. No one entered them to clean so we waited outside without being offered a place to sit in your "restaurant " which to me is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was able to update the pictures of the lack of cleanliness of the room as well. I understand things happen for the wifi to go out so this understandable but the lack of treatment from your manager was truly unexcusable. Since she is on site there is no reason as to why no one would answer the phones when we called for help concerning the heat. Since we don't know which room she lives in and the office is locked up with the lights out we had no idea how to recieve any help, short of knocking on everyone's door. She gave no inclination as to how to reach her. Buzzing the front door to the office did not help either. Much of these things could have been overlooked had we been treated with a little kindness and humanity. I really feel she would benefit from some more training.

If you're looking for the best value, look no further. The rooms are so clean and nice, the grounds are always clean as well. It's such a relaxing place and quiet place to spend some quality time with friends, family, or even just to get away. I've stayed here over a dozen times, and each time I am always so pleased! Amazing staff and hospitality!!

My colleagues and I were up in Van Buren for work and needed a place to stay. We decided to stay right in town at AHI and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Though this is not a fancy hotel, this inn is clean, well furnished and has great amenities. Randall, the manager, is AMAZING! He was always there if we needed something and always willing to help. The best customer service makes it such a better experience…and Randall is a great manager! We will definitely be back!!

Very clean, friendly service, and large rooms. Definitely good value. Everything along the TransCanada was sold out or sketchy so we popped over the border, which despite being a tiny crossing was open 24/7. Took 2 minutes.

This place is a good inexpensive place with helpful staff. The rooms were well-kept and the place attractive enough from the outside. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge being on a hill. I would stay here again if I go to this, my home town once more. Sadly the town has no life or industry any more and I saw little or no evidence of the French culture I started with and visited in my early years. The last real restaurant in town will close soon. No theater. The town and much of Aroostook seem just a place to pass through any more....
