Amazing people and wonderful products. I drive up from Standish just to stock up on their butter and boneless skin-on chicken breasts (unavailable anywhere else). Their steaks are yummy, heck, everything I've purchased there has been fantastic! I hope you never, ever close your doors.

The best milk I have ever had. Been loving milk for 59 years. Again, freshest, most flavorful milk to date. Thank-you

Just tried their milk and WOW.It tastes like real milk, even hood whole milk these days tastes like skim, but this milk was perfect, it even has a bit of butter at the top I scraped off and put on berries.Absolutely the best milk I've ever had, so good I literally had to write a review, and it's just milk but wow...

Went in for my first time today for stew beef and raw milk! The beef was excellent and tender. Still waiting to try the milk, but excited to have that option nearby. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely will be going back!

Went for the first time yesterday because my husband, an established local with local knowledge, was hankering for a smoked pork chop.Staff was extremely friendly and attentive, location gorgeous, pork chops were delectable, and other fare did appear very enticing. An amazing first impression. Will return. Thank you.

I can not find anyplace like Bisson's within a 40 mile radius. I loved going there and getting the BEST quality meats. I understand their situation and it is sad for all of us. But I am happy I got to know all of you and have some really good meat to eat and know where it came from.

I get all my meats here always worth the trip. Amazing quality and selection. From fresh chicken tenders to bacon and all the cuts of steak you want. They also have a great selection of rubs and seasoning as well as homemade ready to eat easy to bake chicken pot pies

So sad to hear your are closing the retail store. We purchase nearly all of our meat and eggs from you and keep our freezer well stocked. Love you all and will miss you immensely (and your smoked pork shops and hot sausage!).

I was visiting my in-laws and needed to get some high quality beef for a cook out. The cuts at the grocery store were downright dreadful. So we went to the Bisson Farms store, and what a difference. Super high quality locally - grown beef. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. And the cost was LESS than the grocery store!!! We bought an 8 pound bone-in rib roast for only $11.99 a pound! Can't ask for more than that!

I love Bisson's. Fresh local meats. Their bacon is the best. I also like their sweet sausage cooked over a fire. They have a great selection of meats. You can definitely taste the difference in a steak from Bisson's compared to a typical grocery store steak.

Today I went for the first time with my family and was very impressed. They are a working farm providing the BEST freashest meat, rubs and more. Very personable and a family oriented envirment. After we finished in the store we where directed to the back so our son could see and pet their miniture horses! - We will gladly continue supporting!

Have always had great service here and the meat is fabulous! The slab bacon is the best around! It would be great if the shop area was a little roomier as during busy times (like after work) it can be uncomfortably crowded. But I guess that's how you know their products are so good!

I had heard that Bisson had great quality products and I like to support family owned business, however, I have shopped this establishment twice and have been disappointed in both the product and the customer service. Several of the staff are very curt and quite discourteous. This complete lack of customer service was even more prominent on my second trip. I asked for a flank steak and they laughed in my face, telling me they had not had this product in days. I understand that product is difficult to stock at this time due to covid-19, however I have no way of knowing what product is and is not available so laughing in my face at a request does not really seem to be the appropriate response. Upon being asked what else I might like, they did not offer to tell me what they did have in stock, but essentially made me guess what they might have and then continued to laugh at my requests. I eventually settled on a sirloin steak and they asked me if I would like two if they had it. They came back out and informed me that they did in fact have to sirloin steaks. Due to the covid-19 it was packaged and put in a bag and handed to me while server walked quickly away. Upon getting home I noted that one cut of meat was labeled as a sirloin but that the other was a short cut rump steak at $10.99 a pound. The sirloin steak that I did get, was quite frankly very fatty and quite tough. Sadly, I had purchased some steaks at Target several days prior, and unfortunately in comparison to Bissons steaks, these steaks were extremely good quality and quite tasty as well as less expensive. Not only that, in spite of the craziness of covid-19, the target staff were friendly even in their efficiency. It is sad to me that a chain store can offer me better product and customer service than a family-owned business. I personally will no longer be frequenting this establishment as two bad experiences are quite enough for me. My boyfriend has been a patron of your establishment for over six years, and he feels that the quality of product as well as customer service has gone down. He was with me on both of these trips and agrees that the customer service was heinous and that the quality of meat is poor. It is a good thing that covid-19 is increasing the demand for your product, but perhaps a good look at staffing and customer service is in order if you hope to maintain your customer base after this unfortunate epidemic. Also, I can't believe I actually had to give them one star in order to make this post, they deserve none.

Terrible cuts of everything. Also the sandwich turkey spoiled after 2 days, and they forgot the breaded chicken tenders we paid for.Edit: As a response to your reply, I live an hour away, and work all day, I bit the bullet, but still worth mentioning I didnt receive something I paid for, infact if I recall you sent in replace boneless thighs, not even cut. As for the turkey, you obviously then, recieved a different cut of turkey, off of likely a newer bird. Im just stating the facts. Stop trying justify your mistakes and own up to them. Our ham spoiled as well as our slices of american cheese. The chicken was really close when I pulled it out the other night and dethawed it. The amount of times I've been to the raymond meat market, Ive left frozen chicken in my freezer for a couple months and was still good, they did not sell me close to expired meat. Ive worked in the restaurant business for quite some time and I know when food is bad or close to. Won't be going back, people do not shop here.

My wife & I took time to go to Bisson's In Topsham today. Nice drive from Cumberland to do our shopping. BEST MEAT around and worth the trip. I have to mention there Pastrami. You can't leave the store without getting a pound to take home. Once you try it you'll go back for more. I promise!!!!!! Its a family owned business and a wonderful family it is. helpful and friendly. Try them out.

I love having my boneless short ribs but have a couple sore teeth. I called and asked if they could grind me up a pound of boneless short ribs as they are a butcher place Thengirl that answered was rude and told me to just buy ground chuck. Which dose t taste the same. Then she said she woulld ask the butcher and when she came back said he told her no to tell me to just buy ground chuck. Not only was I surprised by the attitude but that is their business. If you can’t help a customer won’t go there again. Very disappointed.

Can you help put to rest some mean rumors that go around town that your beef product isn't all home grown? I explain that the ratio of meat in an animal that can go to choice steaks vs what goes to chuck/ ground beef makes it difficult for you to meet the local demand for steak with the cows you raise at your farm. But when you do buy in beef critters, they are from Maine farms, right? You're not getting yucky animals from concentrated animal farms from the Midwest to supplement? I'd love to have a good response to these people, to say, of course for my own confidence in your operation and also to put down naysayers, that yes indeed buying your product, particularly beef, means something and is better for our local economy, and means higher quality of meat, lower chance of contamination and is better than what is sourced by our mass grocery store chains (Hannaford/Shaw's/ walmart/Target). Thanks for helping to answer if you can.

I was really surprised by my experience with their butcher today. I wanted to get a brisket to smoke and the butcher had no idea that a brisket was made up of two different muscles and he didn't know how to separate them properly. When I asked him to separate the flat from the point he just hacked them in half like it was something funny and said “there your are, separated!” Any serious smoker knows you should separate them along the seam as the grain of the two muscles go in different directions. And he must have left $15.00 worth of fat on them. Some is good but at some point enough is enough. If you are serious about your BBQ I recommend you either buy the whole packer and do it yourself or find another butcher.

LOVE LOVE LOVE I am ruined for all other meat! Bisons has the most amazing Chicken you will never be able to buy the stuff at the grocery store again! The ham is so awesome and you immediately notice the difference between the hams at your grocer that are mainly salt and additives, Bisons ham and bacon just has amazing flavor without the overload of salt. Honestly I have never got a cut of meat that I didn't love. Also they are so helpful and can always answer your questions about cuts and cooking methods.

Short staffed but work hard to provide a safe environment for curbside pickup. Curbside is greatly appreciated. Their meat and products are local and the best.

The staff didn't have a clue what was going on, I was told by one to be there for pickup at 100 and when I got there after driving for 1 hour I was told it would be 2 more hours. Too much confusion. The men that butcher should not be out front waiting on people, when they come out with blood all over there coats its shocking. Its also unsanitary! I get its a butcher shop but people don't need that aspect of the place in there face seeing the butchers out front.

Great food, poor service. I so often walk in to be asked what I want before I even get the chance to close the door. I get the feeling that people that work here know frequent/long time shoppers but those that come in once a month are nothing more then annoyance.

The best chicken I've ever had. They get it from a farm in Waterville. You'll never buy it from a supermarket again. Nice, friendly staff too!

We love Bisson's! The customer service is always wonderful. Plus visiting the cows and the mini horses is an added bonus for our little one.
