I cannot recommend Happy Paws Unleashed enough! I took my golden retriever to Happy Paws for years for both doggy daycare and for grooming services until he passed the rainbow bridge. The love and care they gave my pup over the years was incredible and I know they give the same to all the pets they care for. I can’t wait to bring my new puppy to Happy Paws. A professional group of staff, well maintained daycare and boarding spaces, training, grooming and so many amazing services you can get.

We really like this place! Just a warning, their self wash doggie stations close at 3pm and they don’t have anything that I could find about this on their website. A real bummer when we drove all the way out and we were turned away. Otherwise we’ve had good experiences!

Unhappy Paws Unsupervised should rebrand itself as a butcher shop. Most disingenuous owners ever. (Sure, they have their fabricated story. I assure you mine is closest to the truth.) Do not remotely consider taking your beloved dog to this prison yard, unless you want your dog bitten terribly, while in a totally vulnerable (omega) position, with no supervision. Had to proverbially pull teeth in-person just to get a painfully forced apology from the owners the following day. Thankfully, after vet care ($280), antibiotics, doggie pain meds and an E-collar for two weeks, our dog is healed up and now goes to a far more caring and nurturing doggie daycare.

Love this place! After daycare they always upload the cutest photos to your account. My puppy would come home happy and tired and was always happy to go back. We also got grooming done and that went very well. Would definitely recommend!!!

My springer spaniel was groomer by Jen. I took Willow to the veterinarian the following week for her annual check up. My vet was extremely impressed with her grooming. If a vet that sees several dogs a week is impressed then I think suggest you give them a try . Thanks Happy Paws! Cathy and Willow

My dog was a little shy at first but after a few days at happy paws she came around and loves playing with the other dogs. I highly recommend this place the staff have been very nice.

My cat took a lil digger in some kerosene. I gave her 3 baths of dawn dish soap and even a tomato bath! I live in the bangor area and called everyone I could think of in hopes someone would help me! EVERYONE REFUSED!!!I called Happy Paws Unleashed && let me tell youuu....I wouldn't recommend ANYONE ELSE!!!! THEY FIT ME IN IMMEDIATELY!!! For me, it was worth the hour and a half drive! The staff talked me through everything. I wanted her shaved due to how toxic kerosene is and I didnt want her ingesting such awful fumes. They reassured me that her skin was fine and they gave her a good, long bath. Most of the kerosene smell is gone. Its lingering a little but it's not nearly as bad as it was. Im so happy and satisfied with the outcome! Kali & I cannot say THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!!!

My experience wasn't so happy here. When I first brought my dog here I told him he has no experience being in large groups of dogs. They assured me he would be gradually be brought into the group. This was not done, a total of 1 day of slow progression and then I found out immediately he was added to the big group of dogs.After the first week i was told he was doing great. No concerns were shared at all.After 4 days apparently he was acting differently when with the large group. THIS was not communucated to me until the start of week 3. I would have been happy to share more about his personality if given the opportunity. I got a text at work asking to immedialy call and ask for D. She said he was too anxious and they did not know what else to do for him. She also said they didnt think this was the place for him and I should come pick him up.Very short stint at this daycare and I would NOT suggest bringing a large WORKING dog here as the space is smaller for large working breed.

We took our dog Gracie here for a grooming appointment at 8:30am. This was our first time here and we assumed it would be at least an hour or more for her to be finished since we wanted her bathed, deshedded, brushed, ears cleaned, etc. However, she was ready for pickup by 9:15 and when we picked her up, she was not even fully dry and it looked like she had not been brushed. I am a little bit disappointed that we paid $50 plus tip for her to not be completely dry or brushed, especially after reading such amazing reviews about this place.

I stopped by to use the self serve tubs on my way home from a camping trip. I'd never been before but would absolutely go again - the self serve tubs were well stocked, the place was gorgeous and super clean, and all the folks at the desk were kind and helpful. Thanks for making a stranger feel welcome (and for helping my dog get clean)!

I was completely impressed with the grooming that my puppy Nettie experienced today. She felt like a million bucks when she left. Because she is a puppy (Jack Russel) I had reservations about how she would do. Kiddos to you all. Great experience

I called last week and was able to get a prompt appointment for my 2 dogs. We are new to the area and always concerned that we find good care for our babies! I was pleased that they were able to accomodate us so quickly! The girls look and smell great! Their nails look awesome and our pups are happy! We have definitely found our new groomer! Happy Paws is a wonderful place to bring your beloved fur babies!! I was a student there taught by the very best! I was an employee there, the owners are absolutely wonderful to work for! And I also brought my fur baby to their day care, which she absolutely loved!! If I did not live so far away I would certainly still be there! If you want the very best care from people that truly love the dogs and put the dogs first then this is the place to go!!! THANK YOU HAPPY PAWS UNLEAHED!!!!!

Took Charlie my huge 7 month old Saint Bernard puppy there for a do it yourself bath and it was so much easier! Very very convenient! They have everything you need. Shampoo, conditioner, towels, dryer, even waterproof aprons!They explained how to use everything so there was no confusion. Very helpful. The ladies working in there were super sweet. Will definitely be back!

I love using their self wash! It makes bathing two dogs so easy. They also have a great doggy daycare and other pet focused services. They are always polite and helpful. They would get 5 stars but thier facility is a bit small. They are working on expansion though!

After moving to Maine, away from family/friends and our long-time pet sitter, we had a very hard time finding someone we could trust to care for our pets while we were gone. Denise at Happy Paws Unleashed is awesome and puts our minds at ease while we are out of town. We have used the overnight pet care services many times and we could not be more happy with the care that we have received. They provide great communication throughout the process, with updates and photos about how your pets are doing while you are away. One of our dogs suffers from pretty bad anxiety and often has a hard time warming up to new people....Denise has been super kind and patient with him from day one, and seeing Otie build a relationship with her has been wonderful. We love to travel and Happy Paws Unleashed has given us the peace of mind we need to do more of what we love, and we could not be more thankful!

My two Min Pins have been attending Happy Paws Doggie Day Care for more than 1 & 1/2 years. Occasionally, we've utilized the overnight boarding service. My pups are always taken good care of and without doubt enjoy every second spent at Happy Paws! The staff has been very accommodating to our needs as a military family and always meets you with a smile. If possible, I would give them more stars!

The people at Happy Paws are phenomenal. I'd been going to other places for a few years, not knowing about Happy Paws, and had all but given up getting my dog groomed, since his experience was miserable each time. Everything changed when I went here! They take the time to ask about your dog; to listen to your concerns, and they don't keep him in a cage all day in desperate need of a bathroom break. He comes back looking like a new dog, but he's also eager to go back the next time. That tells a lot about the staff here!

My dog Rylee loves it here! She's always super excited to go with the staff to play with her friends! The staff has always been very nice and extremely great with my dog! This is a great experience for rylee to get the social interaction she needs in a safe and clean environment. If I could afford it I would bring her here every day!

I've been a student at Happy Paws Unleashed for almost 2 years now, the service is great the groomers there work very hard to keep all the customers that walk through the door happy. Suzy, one of the owners and groomers there has been the best mentor I could of asked for. Very patient and willing to work with anyone I highly recommend going to this salon for good quality care and customer service!
