Last week I was researching water softener systems and was a bit confused. So I headed to Lowe’s and spoke with Rob (I believe he had a Pro Vest on). He was so knowledgeable and helpful in speaking with me to understand how the system works and which product to add for full benefits.Thanks a bunch Rob for taking time to assist and being so helpful!Also last week I purchased a grill from the front walkway of the store. Brandon from the Customer Service Desk assisted me in loading it in my car and tied it up for me for extra protection of the grill. Five Star rating for Brandon for his assistance and friendly politeness on my purchase.Memorial Day weekend heading into Lowe’s for a new electric mower and weed trimmer. Tony/MSM assisted me in picking out the 2 items needed to make my lawn a grilling area. Tony was knowledgeable, professional and polite on asking all my questions. Thanks a bunch Tony! Our lawn looks 100% better.

I would like to thank Janet and Matt today, for helping my husband and I. First time visiting Lowe's here today, and our car died. I asked Janet if she could help us or knew someone that could jump our car as our battery died! She found another employee named Matt, who was willing to help. Thank you so much. We were about an hour and a half from home. Both were kind, and willing to help. Now that is Lowes service! ( Yes, we bought a Battery Jumper Start, for the car. While we were at Lowe's). Pretty good selection of home improvement goods. Store layout is not my favorite as I'm used to home depots aisle layouts for tools and hardware etc. Nice tool cabinets!

I have NEVER been treated so poorly in ANY store as I was today in the Thomaston Lowe's. Was treated like a criminal by an employee while I was already being helped by another employee. I literally felt like this lady does not know her job or what good or any customer service is. Thank you to the other woman that stepped up to help the situation but honestly the other lady needs to maybe find a new job and definitely needs to be written up or let go. Unfortunately I will now just have to drive an extra 20min to go to another store. Not going to chance being embarrassed like that again!

Is it in stock. Yes. Can they find it . No. Is it on order . Don't know. We're not told. When is it coming .we don't know. Delivers come different days. When is it scheduled to come. Don't know. This can go on for days/weeks. Just go to Viking! S hard to find help. Go to Spears!No cashiers! One lovely lady helping the backed up self checkouts . New registers even needed help just to scan my Lowes card I'm not that stupid either!Always make returns easy

In September of 22 I engaged through Lowes using Schuler cabinets and Granite Design for the counters. I wrote the following letter on June of 23. The kitchen is still not done. They have gotten the parts wrong at least three times and the countertops another three times and it’s not done yet as of today November 3 23. Here is an updated letter I sent them.I’m writing this email for two reasons. One to get you all on the same page. I’m tired of getting confused email that lead me to believe no one is in charge. Managing the project is not my job. Secondly, I’m writing this email to put you in notice that I’m moving in on June 27. Van line move and all.I expect for this nightmare to end before then..( I moved in without the dishwasher being able to be operable. No toe kicks and no backsplash. Also missing side panels and doors to refrigerator. They have come more than 3 times and each time with the wrong pieces, badly measured backsplash, dishwasher fronts missing handles and counters. Every time the item were reordered from Schuler or Granite Design the pieces were the wrong size, the wrong color, etcOn June 26 of 2022 I first contacted Lowes. On July 11 I had my first contact with the designer. On September 12, 2022 I paid for the cabinets and installation labor, as well as put down a deposit for the counter tops. Until then I was 100% satisfied with the process.How do you have a customer go from 100% to 0% satisfaction…just like this..It’s the 5th of June,2023 ( now the 3 of November)and the job is not complete. Cabinet installation was not completed because pieces were missing. There was no toe kick. It’s missing two side panels. The panels and handles, which I purchased, for refrigerator and two dishwashers were not installed and it’s sitting on my living room. 9 they have since installed the dishwasher panels but the installer had to cut a side of it because they are the wrong size)The backsplash was not installed, don’t know the reason. ( it took them three tries to get it still wrong, months in between each try)The template had been created and you’ve certainly have had the time to get things in. One piece on the refrigeration side was not installed (it’s sitting on the floor of my garage) because one upper cabinet was installed 1/8 of an 1/8 inch too low, says the countertop installer. The cabinet installer says he did it right and I would have to pay for its re-installation. I offered to take down the cabinet so that the countertop could be installed but the countertop installer said he would have to charge extra if he had to come earlier than June 25 (when supposedly the backsplash would be ready to put in place. I’ve paid a carpenter to lower the cabinets and vanity which were done wrong and I had to pay a cabinet maker to modify the microwave cabinet because they did not get it right even after I sent them the model numbers of each appliance. The refrigerator left door doesn’t open completely because not enough separation from wall was left)I need to know who is charge of this project and can sort this little mess with installation crews and their suppliers before move in date. Whatever is not done before the move in date of June 27, I expect a full refund and compensation for this mess. (needless to say, I have not received a satisfactory Explanation, a discount, or any money back. I think my last resort will have to be to hire a lawyer.I spent over $75,000. with Lowes and I expected a different experience then.My advice is don’t get your kitchens from Lowes., you cabinets from Schuler or you countertops from Granite design.

She was the most helpful person I have ever dealt with in any Lowes store in Maine. Just had the BEST experience here with an associate named Austin who helped me with the removal of a difficult bracket. Followed through, was attentive, professional and DID NOT GIVE UP even though it took three different pieces of equipment to accomplish! Kudos Austin!

Saw a tile I wanted and was told they had plenty .89 per tile. Made a special trip 53 miles to buy the tile. It was mislabled. And a special order. I shopped for the other things I needed for the new shower $438. Went back to counter to order the tile and was then told its discontinued. At this point I've wasted half a day and 20 gallons of gas for no reason. Was not offered a discount or anything. I think I might return everything

Customer service going down.There's nothing worse than having to press that red button to page for help to be told 20 minutes later by a worker that's been standing 30 feet away from you, that there's no one coming to help you.Then walking to the front to see all of the head bosses sitting around talking to each other slapping each other on the back.If you want to buy anything, just go online because if you have an actual question for the average employee, they're not going to be able to answer it or help you actually procure the item.It's a sad state of affairsI'm rooting for you Lowe's, but you're testing my patience.

Excited to share my 5 star review of the Thomaston store's wonderful staff. We purchased deck and patio furnishings (furniture, umbrella, rugs) for our children in Rockland. The in-store shopping experience was personalized for our needs, helping research and find everything we were hoping to buy (inventory, sizes, colors, styles) and challenges were solved with good humor and a can-do attitude by phone and in-store, ensuring that we were happy every step of the way. Shout-outs to Matt, Richard, Nick, Ethan, Leeann and Sarah(s) in Customer Service. Our first big purchase at Lowe's and we are excited to be repeat customers going forward!

Went to pick up a scratched refrigerator that my wife had purchased the previous day, was reduced from $1199-$574, after 2 hours in the store I was told that they'd sold it again to someone else and gave me a $699 model, that they told my wife was out of stock, for the same price. Watch out for these bait and switch tactics, we paid for a $1200 fridge With a scratch not a $700 one without a scratch! ';€)}

I don't know how to feel. Gentlemen in the back helping me with rugs was great. Two employees in paint department worked so hard, but both were new, and didn't know what to do. I can now add run Lowes register to my resume. Only self-checkout. Two "managers" hanging out behind customer service desk were rude, and not at all helpful. Wow. That was an interesting experience. Maybe because it was a Sunday night? There did not appear to be anyone "in-charge". 😕

Just returned a water heater that had a bad coil , returned it after installing. My husband had to ask for help loading it in the truck. There were 4 guys standing around and they told a girl in a cast to help him load it. Unbelievable. Opened the 2nd to install and it’s dented in a few places. We like the convenient location of this lowes but prefer the more helpful associates and professionalism at Home Depot.I would also like to add , that I did call the number Lowes gave me in the reply . Was on hold for an hour and got zero help. I was sent a 25$ gift card. Thanks but no thanks.

This is a well-run shop. The corporation's ostensible support of Veterans is a factor. They HIRE vets, set aside parking spaces for vets & extend a somewhat cynical "5% discount". They had my desired item in stock, everyone was friendly, transaction smooth In short, a pleasure.

I ordered an oven on a Saturday in store. 2 associates checked and told me it was "in stock" which I took as being in stock in their store. I was told it would be delivered the following Thursday and I would receive numerous calls to confirm.Wednesday around 3:00pm, the day before delivery arrives Mike in the delivery department calls to confirm but says associates are forgetting to tell people that if their roads are posted they are unable to deliver with their trucks unless I call my town office and have them send a written ok for them. But, Mike didn't know where I needed to have it sent.So I spoke to customer service who put me on hold 5 times when all I needed was an email for her to come back and say, "oh an email? I thought you meant an old fashioned letter." I am again put on hold. She gets an email we repeat it to eachother 4 times because I'm really losing faith in this conversation at this point.I call my town office(while I'm trying to work my job to pay for this appliance mind you), and the town office agrees though they think it is silly they requested this for a 20 ft. truck, but were happy to send it for me.That evening I receive an automated call confirming my delivery between 11:00 and 3:00.The next morning I receive a voicemail from Mike that they WILL NOT BE DELIVERING BECAUSE IT'S NOT IN STOCK OR ON THE TRUCK! No other info he just hung up and left me with that.I called him back. He said that's correct. Could not tell me when they would have another.I call back later to speak with a manager Richard who proclaims to know everything(no really, he did). Richard heard my story and frustrations. I told him i want to know when another will be delivered and where the one I was told was in stock went. He promised to find all my answers and call me within an hour to 1 1/2 hours. 3 hours later...no call.I called back, Richard went home for the day! I spoke with another manager Frank. Frank was a godsend. He listened to my frustrations explained he was a new manager and they were going through some changes at the location, promised to look into what happened and assured me he would call me back because as he said he takes PRIDE in following through on his word with his customers. Frank not only called me back, but found a stove to send me the next day from another store. The service people who delivered were efficient, cheerful and resourceful, when they thought the cord was not sent along with the stove. Frank, I take PRIDE in following through with the customers I work with too and good information or bad, people just appreciate some follow through and coordination. You sir, proved your management knowledge today and I appreciate you.

HORRIBLE customer service. Purchased a washer and dryer and was told it could be loaded into our truck, my husband had to load it as the employee couldn’t. We get the washer home and installed, and it immediately throws an error code. Based on the owners manual, we had to call for service. We called Lowe’s and explained and they told us to load up the washer and bring it back, which isn’t really acceptable. When we asked for a manager, they hung up on us and now, of course, no answer at the store. Will never shop at this Lowe’s again. Home Depot is the way to go.

Paint dept does not know what they are doing. Despite having Lowes label on the lid, the man helping me invited me to find the paint in the paint aisle. Which one of these 18 do you want. Would be helpful if the clerks could read the label. I found the paint. Before our transaction was finished, he turned his back and walked off. After you retrain him, I siggest you send him to manners school. I don’t have to shop at Lowes!

Spent a ton of money in New appliances, paid for disposal fee. Despite gas being off the delivery wouldn't remove my stove. Manager said they would take care of it...several calls to the store and left several messages. No response. Tried explaining to front desk because the manager I dealt with was no longer there supposedly and the woman kept talking over me. Got transferred to a queue then hung up on. I want my $30 back, it's really that simple. I will never spend another dime here after this fiasco. I understand everyone is short handed and people don't want to work but it's no excuse to treat a paying customer like that.

Ordered a new Weber grill to be delivered, with assembly. The grill I received had already been assembled and did not look like a new grill. It was filthy, dented, and covered in a thick layer of dust. The door to the lower cabinet was broken off and damaged. Very disappointing that so little care is taken with customer orders.

A reliable "big-box" hardware/lumber/home improvement store. Merchandise is good quality, but doesn't always feel locally thoughtful (especially garden department). Still, overall good inventory and friendly employees. The employees are great 👍🏻.If you shop on the app and order curbside pick-up, it still feels like they are working the bugs out of that system, but still not bad.

Been a very long time that I would give a big box store 5 stars, but after my last two visits, I will just say the Thomaston, Maine store could use 5 more Bruce Jordans and you wouldn’t be able to keep people away. He has gone out of his way to be helpful and is always positive and upbeat, definitely makes my experience much more pleasurable. If it’s lack of staff, lack of people helping outside their “position” staff. rude staff, too busy talking to each other staff, or staff not recognizing that a person may need assistance and just walking by….it’s not been a great experience the last couple years. Have to kinda fend for yourself Nd/or walk away disappointed and empty handed. A far cry from my experiences the last few years and this man deserves a reward!

Great customer service from Doug (Store Manager) and Steve as well as all the ladies at the customer service desk and a parking lot attendant. Very helpful with return and replacement of 2 high $$ items. No issues what so ever.
