Had breakfast here. Took 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered and it was absolutely disgusting. Hash browns and eggs were undercooked. Pancake was hard as a brick. Whatever cheese they put in my wife's omelet was gross. I just got up and left. No point wasting time to send it back when it's that bad. It's one of those times when you look around at other people there and can't believe they eat food I wouldn't serve my dog.

The best tiny maine diner food you can legally find. There are others, but they are completely top secret. Until the clearance ceiling cracks, go to the "Gig."The public landing across the street is epic to bird watch. There is a family of cranes and I have snapped a black belted king fisher, as well as terns, cormorants, geese, gulls, etc... if you don't get yer cheeseburgers here, you are a nature hating communist.Reasonable prices.

Good Basic food ,great prices, can't beat the view. Friendly staff 1/2 have been there for over 20 yrs. Caters to all ....tourists to fishermen. Still local still good for breakfast all day. Best crab roll.Closed today 5/31

Stumbled into the Keag hoping they had crabmeat rolls that were decent. 3 large crabmeat rools later I can confirm their food is excellent! The crabmeat was perfect, fresh and sweet. Mayo was just a binder, not a filler and rolls were toasted to perfection. Highly recommend a trip out if you are passing through Thomaston!

The Keag store is iconic. I grew up in South Thomaston, and would go into the store with my friends barefoot, and wielding a handful of change so we could gorge ourselves on penny candy. We were raised on Keag pizza! Today it has the same charm as then, as well as the best damned lobster roll around. If you want fancy, go somewhere else. If you want good, authentic, hometown cooking, and to chat with REAL Mainers, you go to the Keag.

So, really nice folks. Don't expect it to be a grocery store. It is not. They do, however, offer a vast variety of liquor. This is good if you find yourself camping/ traveling and generalling looking for campfire comfort. They also have fast food to go. Did I mention, it is a really nice to gaze at the water while you wait or eat in.

Always wicked good food and service. The girls in the morning are so fun to talk with. Excellent service and great jokes flying around the store. I will be going there till I pass on probably! Lol! I love all ya ladies, they made me feel like family!

The crab roll is the main reason to visit this authentic general store. A generous portion of crabmeat (thick with mayo) and a buttered roll make for a savory sandwich that comes with a side of classic potato chips. Enjoy your lunch on one of the picnic tables across the street with a peaceful waterfront view.

I can remember going to the Keag store MANY times a week as far back as my memory goes, I moved out of state at age 16 and just recently moved back about a month ago. The Keag is still just as I remember it, homey and with AMAZING food, friendly staff, family friendly setting with the BEST pizza I've ever had!

Wonderful breakfast with their fish hash, while sitting across the street from a working harbor with lobster boats. Community people dropping in for food and coffee, away from the tourist highway. We appreciated having the experience.

A great little store in the old tradition, providing a smattering of groceries and supplies (ie, toothpaste, calamine lotion, bug dope), snacks, and cold drinks. They also have sandwiches and hot food, fries, and the like, as well as a little deli. The pizza is not bad, but they are locally famous for their lobster rolls, which my wife loves.Do, please, stay away from the haddock sandwich, which is a small frozen square of something questionable and thrown grudgingly on a small bun. I kid you not, if you are into that sort of thing, BK and McD's do it better. If you're looking a haddock sandwich, literally anywhere in Midcoast Maine will do it better. Again, the pizza, lobster rolls, and fries are good; I forget what else I've had there but I think of it as a decent place to get food.

Especially in the summer this is about the best place you can get a sandwich order near anything in Seafood or meat. Sometimes they have terrific daily specials. The view is spectacular from me to tables across the street.

Keag store is a nice little grocery store for its location. Not much is around but they have decent parking across the street with a Maine atmosphere inside the store. The service has always been great as well as prices.

Old time general store serves breakfast. Great prices on the breakfast. Menu and ordering is at the counter. Sit down and they will bring out the food. Popular with locals and staff is friendly/helpful with the tourists.

Wonderful place. Saw live lobsters being sold, along with sandwiches. Place was busy but every one in the store had a smile, snd the prices are reasonable . Enjoy.

Funky little "hole in the wall" place in South Thomaston. Basic groceries and a cooler full of in-house, pre-made meals to take home. Simple, delicious sandwiches. The 'keagwich is my go-to sandwich when I'm in the area. Take your order to go and sit in the park across the street to enjoy views of Weskeag river while you eat.
