My parents and I have brought our dogs to Harbor Road Vetrinary Hospital for years. We have always received friendly & knowledgeable services whenever we visit. The kidness & compassion given by staff members when we have had to say goodbye to any of our dogs has been appreciated. This is the only veterinarian we would bring our pets to.

My husband and I adopted a cat from Pope Memorial Humane Society, and it was suggested that we take our girl Meow Meow to them, and we did.The staff, including Peyton (receptionist), techs, and vets, have been kind, caring, and always there for all our fur babies' needs. They are a great place to go, and I personally would highly recommend them 😀

I've been trusting the health of my beloved animals for over 30 yrs. I've found them to be knowledgeable and compassionate. They've always listened to my concerns and ideas which has made a big difference for me and my dogs and cats. They're also referred me to specialists when needed which tells me they care about he animal, not more than anything else. I plan to continue with them and hope they'll always be in the Midcoast Maine area.

I love everything about Harbor Road! They're so caring and nice. They always take such good care of both my pets and never make me feel like I'm not doing enough for my pets. I love that even with curbside service they still take the time to come out and talk to me, or call and talk to me after hours. I can't recommend them enough!

I have been bringing my cat(s) to Harbor Road for many years, beginning with a semi-feral pet since Dr. Yovino was the go-to for fixing such. They've been great, including a home visit when an elderly and ill pet had to make her exit. I highly recommend them ... so do Buster and Sami (pictured)!

Our dog was hit this morning and was rushed here. (We also take another of our pups here) Unfortunately, his injuries were just too severe. The way that we were treated and consoled was heartwarming. . They kept our 4 and 6 year olds entertained while we said goodbye.They sent us home with a clay paw print, two miniature bottles of fur, and 2 packs of Forget-me-not seeds.🥀💙Thanks to Amie, Dee, and the remainder of the staff for making the best of a heartbreaking situation.

I had two annual visits in two days with two of my cats...both were great. The facility is immaculate, everyone is very professional, considerate, friendly and very responsive to questions. This was a maiden voyage with Harbor Road, I am very relieved to have found a new veterinary practice that exceeded my expectations and feel so confident in bringing my pets to. I particularly liked that there was ample time after everything else was done for questions...I was totally satisfied.

They performed life saving surgery on our puppy who had a blockage. They took him in, despite him not being an established patient here. It takes a very compassionate, caring veterinarian and someone who truly cares about the well-being of animals to do this. Our dog is recovering extremely well from surgery and we’re very thankful to Harbor Road. Would absolutely recommend them!

I have been raving about this Veterinary office since our appointment yesterday. I visited this office for the very first time with our latest cat that has entered my home. I felt welcomed, I felt comfortable and last but not least I felt HEARD. I felt that they took my comments and concerns greatly into account, didn't try to minimize me or my cats problems in any way and explained everything in terms that I could understand. I left that appointment with such a sigh of relief and hope. I will be transferring all of my pets to this office in the very near future.Highly recommend.

Omg ..So my grandmother’s cat that was a house cat lived on 7 years after my grandmothers passing .The family kept her of course so the unexpected happened couple weeks ago the cat had a stroke or something it was on its way out she must of been almost 18-19 years old .The family called vets everywhere..to put her down but not a patient nope can’t help ..So Dad calls harbor road and explains the cats in pain crying and would like to have the shot to put her down and come out to the car ..Hang on then came back and said yup come down ..Dad said yup ..I’m 20 min away ..Shows up calls em and they said hang on them gets on phone and says nope can’t do it .Dads like this is inhuman u told me to come down and it was verified .So they hung up .He walked inside they all scattered and dad said I’m leaving be for I make a scene ..So who the hell verified that it was okay ??..Years ago Dr.Underhill in Warren came right out to the car and put our dog down .What’s the big deal ? Someone say u pay for it the animal is old there’s no other option…So good luck with what ever ur adventure may be if u go here .

We were on vacation in Maine when our Mini Schnauzer became very ill. Dr. B and her staff saw us on short notice. She examined our little girl and set up an emergency appointment at the Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough (also a phenomenal place!). Maddie came through a very dire situation, and we’re very thankful to Dr. B and all the wonderful caregivers at Harbor Road!

horrible service! i watched the girl with the nose piercing( said her name was lilly) pull on the ears of an older dog that' wouldn't sit for her! of u hate your animals and want them secretly abused take them here! also the lady with tattoos was in the same room! she watched the abuse then brought the animal to an elderly woman! if u wanna pay top dollar to get your animals abused Bring them to the horrible, fake people here

Had no compassion for me or my pet also had a urinary blockage the vet gave him an antibiotic shot, treated him for something he didn't have, charged me outrageous prices even a daycare fee. I don't recommend this vet to anyone i will never subject my pet to this facility again .

I called early in the morning with concerns for my dog. The staff person listened, asked me appropriate questions and said she would refer to Dr. Yovino. He called me back within 30 minutes and we decided I should bring my dog in for a check up. She was having another vestibular episode. Despite all the covid precautions the whole visit went smoothly. The staff is so professional but genuinely caring. I highly recommend Harbor Road Veterinary.

I had been going here for about 12 years but I recently switched to another vet. When my cat got sick they did all kinds of expensive treatments I'm sure they knew were useless. When I brought him in the last time to be put down they didn't know his name and no one said sorry for your loss. It was all just a business transaction. The last straw for me was when my dog was throwing up everything he tired to eat I called in the morning and they said they were too busy to see him and told me to call the emergency vet. I'm sure they are competent vets but if I''m handing over a weeks wages for an hours worth of their time I need better service than what they offer.

Extraordinary in professionalism and caring... topped 5 stars. We had to put our dog of 16+ yrs to sleep and everyone we encountered was topnotch. An appointment was made available for us in afternoon of the same day we called and asked for help.
