Being a full time resident here I don't like to shop at Burnt Cove very often because the price of most things is well above the average price year round. The staff are friendly and the hot food is delicious though!

The hot food bar is always worth a gander. It's simple fare, but every once in a while there will be a real knock-out dish on offer. As a grocery store, it does the job; if you can't find what you're looking for, you probably didn't actually NEED it. It's Locally run and Employee owned, so your money goes into pockets of people in the Island. Good booze selection, nice smattering of local products such as 44 North Coffee, Cold Water Seafood smoked mussels, though I miss being able to pick up Tinder Hearth bread at Burnt Cove. And while I'm chasing the vapors of nostalgia, I also miss the DVD rental at the deli counter; it's a small tragedy to see it gone. I'm partial to Burnt Cove over the Galley (no offense to the fine folks there) and it sure beats driving to Blue Hill.

Theres a few who could be more friendly to their customers. Other than that they have a great selection of food and a delicious deli and grill menu too!!! Also a frequent shopper spend $500.⁰⁰ get $5.⁰⁰ off.

Sort of a cross between a grocery store and a gas station convenience store, but not being from Maine, maybe this is the usual. Higher prices since it's in the middle of nowhere also.

Judging the store for what it is: a small local grocery store in a remote area of Maine? It's pretty good! The staff are friendly and selection is reasonable for the size. While I don't buy it, I do seem some organic and gluten-free options here. Pricing is a bit higher than some are accustomed to but it's not ridiculous. Quality is generally fine, particularly the deli.What's actually in stock can get a little inconsistent around the beginning and end of tourist season though due to rapidly changing demand. Prices can also sometimes be absent for an item on the shelf or missing from the system, but it's infrequent.Worth remembering the closest major chain grocery store is a 2 hour/80 mile round trip drive to Ellsworth, so for its few flaws, I still highly recommend this store.

I always love coming into this store awhile visiting "The House at the Point". I bought an adore rose colored t-shirt today, "Hanging with the Buoys" I also bought a beautiful Maine calendar, Maine recipe book and recipe playing cards :) Recipe playing cards, who knew!! Pretty cool, I think!! ;)

A terrific and important local market. An improving selection in almost every department and even some ingredients for Asian, Middle Eastern and regional cuisines. If they don't have it, the great staff is likely to get it for you. And it's one of those places where everyone knows your name.

Friendly people work here but non perishables drinks ,snacks only Store for me for over a year now. Meat is always a risk frozen food is better now veggies i dont dare get on the count of I have bought to many rotten without knowing it. And i dont do the deli either on the count they dont always use gloves when making sandwich or cutting sandwich meat ect.Would like to see The Store do better in all areas.

It was okay. Unfortunately out of some of what we wanted but it was a Sunday. Some employees are friendly others are not at all. That's why I go off island all I can. It is convenient is about All I can say not like when original owner had it. Sorry.

Burnt Cove Market can be a good store. I have found they have issues with ordering things that people want. There is a couple people you can go to and they will make sure the stuff gets ordered. It needs to listen to the customers more

Best market on deer isle. Unless you need something very specific or are purchasing a lot it is likely more economical to shop here than traveling to blue hill or even further.
