The fried clams were good, but not something that I wanted to go back to, there are many other spots around that make this so amazingly well. However, their fried blueberry pie is out of the world and would drive here to get it every time I'm around the area.

We stumbled upon this place on a drive we were taking north. It did not disappoint us. We arrived and sat out on the front porch to eat. You order your food at a window and then find your seat. They do have seating inside and a bar area also. The place was clean and pretty cool. We were all very happy with our meals. They were delicious! So much so that my husband and son-n-law decided to split a second sandwich just to try it because they enjoyed everything else. The staff was awesome and the lady at the window was very pleasant.

Fried Key Lime Pie and Linguicia Roll! Oh my Jesus this place is awesome. For a roadside takeaway stop the food was fantastic. They have a few dishes that have Portuguese spice to them. Rare to find in Maine. The Froed Key Lime Pie though was #1.

We came from Ellsworth especially for the Portuguese dishes, like the pork sandwich and the stuffed clams. They no longer make any Portuguese food although the online menu has the above mentioned items listed! We were disappointed and wondered if the place had changed ownership. Now it’s just another fast food place with high prices.

Excellent fresh seafood! There were plenty of other options on menu and icecream as well. Super cute clean and very nice staff. Highly recommend! Best fried clams I've ever had and my son's haddock was flaky with a perfect coating. Both came with homemade tarter and fresh hand cut fries.

Oh my gosh, the food is wonderful the service is good and the atmosphere was great. I had the pork tenderloin was delicious and the fries amazing. There is a seasoning they use that is a 10 out of 10!! Highly recommend this place. Everything is fresh. Will certainly be back!!!

Fantastic experience and delicious meals. Burger, haddock and fried chicken sandwiches and fries were well prepared and delivered piping hot to our table. Would definitely come back! Oh, and don’t forget the back bar! Bartender had a great personality and made our custom drinks with pleasure! High marks!!!

Wow! Some of the best food we have ever had! Great prices, great portions and great workers! We had an appetizer, dinner and dessert for about $20 per person! Lastly they are very Dog Friendly! They treated our girl like family and gave her a Puppy Bowl! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Four stars only because it’s really pricey. The food is really great. The menu is small but it’s quality. The stuffed clams, rice and coconut shrimp were all awesome. The sauce that came with the shrimp was very well made. I don’t usually eat sauce with coconut shrimp but this was a really great compliment to the meal.

We loved every visit here. The menu is interesting, all the food is delicious and homemade. The decor inside is creative. Friendly service. The prices are pleasing, couldn’t believe how large a serving of ice cream you can get for only three dollars.

So glad I turned around after spotting this place while driving on Rt.1. This is the kind of roadside restaurant you hope to encounter on a road trip! Very casual, friendly, locals vibe. Everything on the menu looked great, including lots of seafood selections, but I opted for the Portuguese porco dinner. Excellent tender pork and delicious rice. What a treat!! The fried key lime pie is decadent and tasty.

Tasty take out on a rainy day! The chicken kebab was excellent. The portions are pretty generous. Seems like this place gets quite busy and there can be a wait, staff are very friendly! Ice cream also available.

I feel like my experience was a little skewed by poor customer service by one individual. That led to an inaccurate food order taking. The food was very good however and the portions are generous. Overall, we enjoyed our experience though and would go again.

Got the scallop dinner and a burger dinner. The food tastes great, the seasoning on the fries is really different but it has a really good flavor. The scallops were a little over fried. It was a little pricey.

We are hooked on their filet mignon kabobs served over Portuguese rice! It is so good that we have never ordered anything else! We like it that they let us bring our own wine or beer to drink and we love the friendly service! Oh, and the wild blueberry hand pies are to die for!

Family owned joint on Route 1 between Steuben & Milbridge. Fresh fish, burgers, etc, but they have PORTUGUESE dishes!! Rice, Portuguese sausages, and more. Why isn't that on a sign?? Try it!!

This take-out restaurant is a welcome addition to Steuben. It's right on the border between Milbridge and Steuben. It's set back from US1 a bit and easy to miss if you're not looking for it!We went to The Meadows for lunch after a day of exploring Petit Manan Wildlife Sanctuary. When I think of take-out, Portuguese doesn't necessarily come to mind but the food was great. I had the haddock burger - fresh and delicious! We shared the Fried Key Lime Pie for dessert.Like many Down East restaurants, it is seasonal - roughly open from May- October. Definitely check it out!

The Chorize sandwich with onions and peppers with a side of fries (or slaw) and a blueberry shake is excellent. Really great people run the place too!
