This year made 33 consecutive years camping at acres during memorial day weekend, excluding 2020. Countless great memories made over the years. We have stayed at every kind of site over the years, rentals, rv sites, tent sites and wilderness tent sites. Most sites are fairly private. The site we have now is very secluded on the lake. Always clean facilities. Tons of activities for kids and adults. Great and Freindly staff! I have so many memories as a kid here and now my kids will make theirs. Our favorite campground by far!

Acres has been my favorite campground since I was a kid! So many good memories, and still making more every year. The sites are great, bathrooms very close to almost every site, great lake with kayaking and fishing, the store has everything you'd ever need. Food and drinks at the pub are awesome!! And lots of fun events... karaoke, bingo, dances, bonfires, etc. Love it!!

We held a family surprise party for over 56 people there this holiday weekend and it was incredible! The grounds are incredibly clean, there is so much to do from their activity center, restaurant, mini golf, basketball courts, firetruck rides, mining, tie dye, their amazing camp store, the lake with showers adjacent, tons of playgrounds, it's just spectacular! We did lose power briefly over the weekend with the storm but it did not stop our fun!We were able to host our outdoor movie night and quiet fires into the wee hours of the morning. We look forward to hosting our now annual family trip there again in October! So grateful for the staff at AoW!

Our four-day trip turned to 5 because the Family itself was having fun. Good location, friendly campers around us, clean bathrooms and a lot of family activities. But the staff. I've been home for a couple of weeks now and I'm still frustrated by the staff. Staff with no customer service experience it seems , or the emotional capacity to problem solve (if you are one of the three employees I spoke to about the firetruck incident, then you know what this is about). They don't multi task, making for very long waits for renting boats (45 minutes) or buying a scoop of ice cream (10minutes just for the scoop). And no filter. I don't recommend standing in groups complaining about the hours you have to work while a line of customers are waiting to spend their money (the 10 minutes waiting for my scoop of ice cream). We all have bad days but you're getting paid. I think had it not been for the staff this year this could have been a five-star stay. My family has been out there a few times, and they go to some of these special events and it was my first time. They told me it's not always like that and I believe them. If I go back and the experience is better I will change the whole review as a one-off bad weekend. I do want to say, every time I tried to say thank you or smile at the people cleaning the bathrooms they were never friendly but at least the facilities were spotless. And the family loved bingo. Extra bonus, no price gouging at the store on site. The single staff member that I had a super pleasant experience with was at that store and she was kind enough to find some burn cream in her first aid box. Pros and cons.

I love coming here! I forget that I have to work until we start packing up. Sites are good and there are woods all around. You drive in a long dirt road to get into the campground so no outside world disturbances. Have activities for all ages. We like candy bar bingo and music bingo the most. It has a store with everything you might of forgotten and a pub for food ordering. Sometimes it can be delivered right to your site! Highly recommend!

Very cool place for kids. Activities take place daily. Has a real “camping” atmosphere. Overall we had a great time. My only gripe is that the speed limit here is not enforced at all. It was common to see both carts and vehicles of visitors and WORKERS going 20+ mph through the park. Multiple times I witnessed workers going so fast that they hit a pothole and about lost control of the cart. Really puts someone with smaller kids on edge, especially when this is happening right next to the playground. Again, fun place, just hope they begin enforcing the speed limit a bit.

Fun place especially if you have kiddos! They do alot of different activities throughout the day. Lots to do on site from 3 play grounds, the pond was nice with 2 jump off docks. Bathrooms was clean on the pond site. Rentals for paddle boats and stuff was a decent price. We seen lots of fish jumping. Fishing was great. The food shack was nice to have on the pond site along with ice-cream shop. The camp shop was very convenient and has most of all your needs. Cabin was clean we stay at Deer cottage. Was roomy and comfortable! To rent golf cart to get around was pricey but walking around the camp wasn’t bad. Definitely would go back and recommend a stay here!

I gotta say the only downside is the long dirt road once you get there. They do their best to grade the road, but it's so heavily used and frequently washed out that it could take you a good 12-15 min from the time you arrive till you get to the gate if you're pulling a camper....This is not an exaggeration! There's ALWAYS activities for the kids, the breakfast sandwich I got at the snack shack was 2 eggs, thick cut bacon on home-made bread... If I lived here I'd pack on the pounds! The store has anything and everything including adult beverages and even games and home made baked goods. We look forward to our visit every year.

Camping here. Big sites. No pool but did have a lake for swimming. Seemed to have lots for kids which was nice. Noisy neighbors who stay all summer. Very loud karaoke and when they didn't stop after a few hours we called the office. Nothing changed after a visit from security as it was before the 1030 pm quiet time. Ruined the awesome woodsy camping experience for us.

We love acres of wildlife. Its home to usWe came here 3 years ago and have come back every year since, usually 2x a year. This year though the staff was unhelpful. They sold me soaking wet wood at a very high price and when I said something about it, well I've been waiting 4 days and still Noone has called to take care of it like they said they would. Our canopy was ripped apart by the storm. We asked for help to move it to the dumpsters and was told to carry it which is impossible considering how it broke. And when we got our propane tank filled the lady was so rude about it. We usually love it here. We still do. We are just upset over how this was handled.

This review is coming from someone who prefers quiet camping. First, this is a very nice campground with great amenities and great staff. No complaints there. My experience was soured by excessive noise from some seasonal neighbors. If noise and partying are not a consideration for you, this is a great spot. however, if you are looking for a quiet low-key camping experience this may not be the best choice. That is just my preference, and I do understand others enjoy camping differently, it's just not my scene.

Very nice place that is well organized. My family has been going here since my parents were kids. Fun to ride bikes in. Golf carts are a little loud and the place is really busy but it's not unbearable and if you're in a good site it's fairly quiet. The owners are amazing and very friendly. The place is overall very welcoming and I love camping there. There is one lady in the camp store who can be a bit grumpy she's still polite. Overall a great place. Bike ramps are great! They are well organized, have tons of amenities, have a huge amount of sites and can accommodate many people. Bingo was fun.Safety: Very safeWalkability: Easy to get to and from places and golf-carts are available (albeit a bit pricey but then again its a golf cart)

Spent Memorial Day weekend here. Would not recommend it to anyone who has never been here. We had no power to the site & no one came when called to check into it. They do not enforce quiet hours either so don't plan on trying to sleep until after 1 am or so. Oh, and if you want to cancel a future reservation, think twice. Even 3 months notice gets you a $60 cancellation fee even if the site they booked you for doesn't fit your camper!

We absolutely love this campground! It was recommended to us 3 years ago and we are already booked for next year! Spacious sites for tents and campers, as well as many other accommodation options based on what makes you comfortable! The staff is always helpful, the bathrooms are always well stocked and clean and there is always hot water in the showers!I love that when we are here we feel like we are truly camping and not in a seasonal RV park. I love that we have found our place to make family memories that will last forever!

So I would have given a higher rating because it is an amazing campground especially for kids. They have events for kids of all ages which is great. The campground is beautiful. Our campsite was amazing. That’s part gets 4.5 stars! Now the frustrating part. We paid for a pump out and they never showed up. We did it ourselves on our way out. We went to check out, after 9am, no one was at the information/ reservation windows. Most of the staff was great, that is the older staff. The younger side of the staff were a little less than professional. The youngest gave my wife, daughter and I a lot of attitude for taking the dragon paddle boat out, that she paid for. The row boat I had rented for the day to go fishing was a very wet ride. There were more holes in it than a pasta strainer and the other boat available was taken. That’s where the 1 rating would be given.Would I recommend going there, yes. Would I recommend the owners teaching some of their younger staff about customer service, being polite and knowledge of the campground and it’s services, yes.

We had a wonderful time. This campground is very family friendly and it was fun to see all the kids running around having a blast. Playgrounds are everywhere and the store is well stocked with reasonable prices for most items, especially considering they have a captive audience. My only critique is that my camp site was not exactly level, not a huge deal. The activities for the kids were great.

Our first time camping here being invited by another family. We had a great time! The facilities are excellent. They have something for everyone. I personally enjoyed the hiking trails & kayaking. Kids had a blast playing volleyball, play ground, dance, the beach etc. The toilets are serviced often. Staffs were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely will be back to camp in the future. Highly recommend this camp ground.Playground: They have playground and volleyball court. Lots of fun.Restrooms: Restrooms are conveniently located and serviced frequently.Picnic area: There benches along the beach. Very nice to just sit and enjoy the sceneries.

We love camping here. There is truly something for everybody. We have gone for an extended family camping trip here two years in a row. My tween granddaughters loved the family dance party, beach games and the slushy drinking contest. My two year old granddaughter loved the playgrounds and the fire truck. My husband and I always love Mr. Drew and the beach. This campground is also dog friendly. The staff is always kind and helpful. What more can we say?

Updates are needed in a lot of areas. The water had dead fish and fish carouses with a bad smell, we talked to others that experienced the same things. Took my kids there for 17 years from 1998 to 2010 and absolutely loved it. Took my granddaughter there this year but will not be continuing. Some of the downfalls where definitely due to the last two years of the horrible pandemic, which is certainly not the campground's fault. I will always have the memories of before when it was a fantastic & wonderful place to bring my family.

5 stars all around. Definitely recommend. We stayed at Acres for a few days, we decided on a short period of time due to the fact that it was our first time camping! We felt right at home. We let the front gate know it was our first time camping and they welcomed us and gave us all the info we would need for our stay. Plenty of playgrounds, plenty of activities and a gorgeous setting. We were able to rent a boat for a couple days and keep it at our site for easy access to the lake. We spent most of our time just enjoying nature, going fishing, and spending some quality family time. We also loved how security patrolled 24/7, it added some comfort to us especially with it being our first time. Almost every camper and employee that we had a chance to run into was very kind and welcoming too. The only slightly negative was that the puppy playground could use some work and We did have one issue with a nearby neighbor, even the site next to us warned us the minute we arrived, but as soon as we let security know, they handled it right away and made sure the rest of our stay was family friendly. All in all we will definitely be making this a yearly thing and will visit again!

This was my 1st year going. I accompanied my boyfriend who was there visiting his family like they do every year. The campground itself was amazing the people were amazing. The activities the event the food it was all great don't get me wrong by the one star review. I just want to make it Very clear that the old lady in the store is a horribleBusiness choice on the behalf of acres of wildlife campground. I understand about being loyal to a long time employee but that employee has to have the respect and appreciation for the guest in their experience. Also she is very rude to her coworkers. ( MAYBE THINK OF A RETIREMENT PACKAGE ?) This woman was rude unapproachable and she made my stay a one star stay. She made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted. she even scared my children. My boyfriend says she's been like this the whole time she's work there the whole time he remembers since he was a kid she was a terrible person to them too. So I would really look into talking to this woman and telling her that for the guests sake for their vacation it would be better for her maybe to be somewhere where guests aren't present if she continues to work there. Thank you
