***Update to the original review since the owner said she tried reaching out to me. Never had any missed calls or emails from you or anyone. Also, how can your employees be so nervous because someone wants cake batter? Am I annoyed and frustrated? Sure. But let’s not make it out like I’m screaming and threatening people. Lastly, I was actually happy last year when you got cake batter briefly and I ordered it whenever I went there until it ran out so I don’t know where your information is coming from that I ordered something else. Just want to set the record straight since Google allows the owner to respond, but doesn’t give the reviewer a chance to retort false claims.Original review was….It’s a nice spot. The prices are OK and I like the outdoor seating but the problem is they have not brought back the cake batter ice cream going on the second summer now. They claim it’s because of the fire at Gifford’s and that it’s a supply chain issue but I’ve been to multiple ice cream places that have cake batter ice cream no problem. I’ve heard multiple people request this so I don’t know why they can’t just get it in and stop making excuses.

So my hip hurt there wasn't any parking so I parked in the front of the building and I was going to get my ice cream and leave. But instead they lost the sale. So the 5 minutes that they could have waited. The people who take the time to go to your place instead of doing doordash are less important. And Just because somebody doesn't have a handicap sign on their vehicle doesn't mean they're parking there cuz they're lazy. That has to be the worst parking design.

The sign said we'd fall in love with the apple crisp sundae...and they weren't lying! It was DELICIOUS! The apple pie ice cream was amazing!

This business is easy to find and access, but can be really tough to exit. They have a great selection of flavors mostly in hard ice cream, but a few in soft serve also. They have lots of sundaes, frappes, and shakes.Closing for the season October 10th 2022.There's parking for only about 10 vehicles in the roadside area, but room for another 15-20 in the back lot. There's only one designated handicapped slot in the front and there's a ramp for those who can't do stairs.If you found this review to be helpful please consider adding a thumbs up. 👍

Great selections. Coffee frappes are great. Fudge sundae was delicious and they do have a sugar-free option. Reasonable prices and large portions. We'll be back!!!

This is our go to soft serve place in the summer. They also have Gifford's hard serve ice cream. It is one of the few places you can get different soft serve flavors, other than chocolate and vanilla. If you get a medium soft serve, you had better bring an appetite!

The quintessential seasonal scoop shop. Quality ice cream generously portioned. I recommend their parfaits and sundaes. Good flavors are Muddy Boots, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter Pie. Great outdoor area with tables and Adirondack chairs.Only ding against them is they often have weird special flavor soft serve combos: peanut butter and pumpkin? Coffee and black raspberry? No thanks.Staff is very friendly and service is quick. Thank you, Papa's!!!

With choices like hot apple crisp sundaes and a multitude of awesome hard serve flavors, chocolate caramel truffle and strawberry cheesecake, apple pie to name a few, this is one hot little ice cream stand! All the classics are there, too. Plus soft serve!

Papa's is open seasonally, and when they are open you should go. Often. Repeatedly. With multiple hard ice cream flavors and generous portions, they are sure to please hungry kids and warm and weary adults alike. They change out their soft serve flavors every month, always offering chocolate and vanilla twist, and cycling through a variety of others for the other machine. Customer service is excellent, with every employee always cheerful, helpful, and prompt. They hire local students during the summer, and train them well, which I consider a plus because it's a great way to help the kids get a first job. Their flavors, friendly atmosphere, and plenty of space to sit makes this a must-go for anyone in Standish.

Great Giffords ice cream flavors and friendly staff. It was a hot day so the ice cream melted quickly. No bathrooms to wash our sticky hands. I asked the attendant for a cup water to wash our hands. She said $1.25 for tap water I was a little shocked to be charged for tap water, pay or dirve with sticky hands :o(

Would have been a great experience, EXCEPT for...Myself, being a customer of color, witnessed the tip jars being emptied in my presence. As a local, I have other options for ice cream. I was craving my dish until this occured. It visited the thrash, since I lost my appeal for it.

Was down state meeting with family for lunch & when we headed home I stated I wanted ice cream but Google maps said it was abt 10 miles out of our way so we just headed home. Well i missed a turn & ended up needing to turn around to get back on track. My dad spotted Papa's ice cream so we pulled in got my much wanted ice cream & was also able to turn around. They have an awesome selection of treats available.

They have a very good selection of both soft serve and hard serve ice cream flavors on top of their specialty pieces. Me and my family have tried countless of their flavors as they come in and out of style. They continue their business even through the COVID-19 outbreak very well handled. Not everyone is wearing a mask (or social distancing) so please for the safety of you and everyone else wear a mask and social distance.

Great selection comparable to other high rated ice cream shops. Soft serve choices more than most places. Great seating, wheelchair accessible, plenty of parking and easily accessible along route 25located near subway, dominoes, and dunkin donuts. Dual order windows easily handle crowds. Ice cream quality good. I wouldn't say the best ive had but still of good quality.

Great hard serve ice cream sundae. Staff are courteous quick to fill our order. And a bonus, outdoor chairs set under a big tree. Lots of shade to visit and eat that yummy sundae.

Wow, what an amazing spot for ice cream and other frozen treats, sample away and enjoy the outdoor seating area. This is a great place with so many flavors and styles, the cones are so fresh and crisp. Soft serve coffee blueberry is just Devine. The staff are so ki d and so generous

Papa's is a must for the summertime! They have delicious icecream with huge portion sizes at can't beat prices. They have homemade waffle cones that smell amazing. Lots of outdoor seating and adirondack chairs in the shade. This is one of our favorite icecream places.
