I have always loved lavish in Raymond so I decided to give Standish a try. I brought my yorki-poo in for a mini groom with the understanding that I would likely be charged extra for his matting. I also suspected he would give a hard time due to him only being a puppy. They called me after about an hour to let me know he probably wouldn’t tolerate much more and that they unfortunately couldn’t get the matting out. I said that was fine and that I would slowly work on it before the next groom. I went to pick him up and to my shock, they had completely shaved him. I was given no warning, nor did they even ask me if that was okay to do. I would have said no, because I wouldn’t pay $75 for a bath and shave when I can do that myself. I paid for someone to do the trimming around his face and feet, work on the matting, and trim his nails. I’m really upset I was given no option to whether I wanted him shaved or not. He is a tiny puppy and is now freezing all the time due to having no coat on him anymore. I will not be returning here and I would only hope they would refund me something at least. I’ll be finding a groomer that gets pet owner consent before doing a service that wasn’t requested.

We love it here and we love Anna! Our pup always looks and smells great after. I also like that they do not keep the dogs in crates, so you do need to be timely for pick up.

I just had a bad encounter with Lavish Dog Spa in Standish. They were very unprofessional. I have had to cancel and reschedule my dogs grooming appointment three times because of Family issues with my Mom on Hospice. I have always followed their policy of cancelling at least 24 hours in advance. Today when I arrived, I had an issue with my dog getting loose in the parking lot. I arrived a few minutes late (12 minutes) for my appointment. An older women in the parking lot had to assist me in capturing my dog. Lavish Dog Spa then refused to groom my dog. It turns out the groomer had injured her shoulder and was going to a doctor's appointment and no longer had time for Carver. A few minutes later I encountered her at an Antiques store just up the road, obviously not at her Doctors and I told her how unprofessional her conduct had been.I have to purchase calming drugs for my dog and drive over an hour to have Carver groomed, it is quite an ordeal as I have to find someone to sit with my Mom while I am away. If they had known the groomer was injured they should have called to reschedule, I certainly did. I think it is very unprofessional for Lavish Dog Spa to turn me away on such short notice when their own policy is 24 hours prior. Customer service is dead or certainly not practiced at Lavish Dog Spa.As I was leaving some kind people asked what the problem was and gently referred me to another groomer, I will certainly be looking elsewhere for my Carver's grooming!

Our dogs were groomed here on Friday 10/13/23 for the first time. The online booking process was easy and efficient. Lucy our female dog is quite the diva, she does not like her paws/face touched. The polite groomer called me during the end of her appointment to let me know respectfully she felt Lucy was too stressed to finish her grooming. I respect the honesty and appreciate the groomer taking action and not pushing Lucy to finish knowing she was stressed out. Lucy's haircut looked amazing - you couldn't tell they were unable to finish. Our male dog Tripp is a wiggle worm. When the groomer was trimming his paw pads he moved his paw quickly and received an accidental cut on the bottom of his paw pad. The team at Lavish Dog handled this accident beyond professionally. They made the bleeding stop, disinfected and cleaned his paw. We ended up bringing him to the vet get antibiotics to ensure his paw would not get infected. The owners of Lavish Dog went above and beyond by paying for Tripp's vet visit without us asking. The next day the owner followed up with me to make sure he was doing okay - reiterating if anything else came up with his paw to let her know. This was a honest mistake that can happen anywhere. We are very impressed the way this accident was handled and for the compassion we received from everyone at Lavish Dog.

Sadly this place has gone downhill. I went to pick up my dog yesterday and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. They charge a $1.00 a minute if the customer is late, yet they dont respect my time. I should have had a phone call to let me know. They didnt say anything. Mostly I'm upset with them telling me how much I would be tipping them. They expect 20 %. Tipping and the amount is clearly up to me!!! So rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately all the great groomers have left there and there pricing is getting out of control.

This place was great when I start going here a few years ago. Now it's an overbooked chaos of a mess. It sounds more like torture when you walk in and ridiculously loud. How any dog would find this lavish is beyond me.

I took my Mini Aussie here for multiple visits. I switched to another groomer this year because of a couple poor experiences/results at Lavish Dog. Turns out I made the best decision because my new groomer has informed me they have RUINED my poor baby's beautiful coat. I completely trusted Lavish Dog and will not advise everyone I know TO NEVER CONSIDER THIS PLACE. To hear that my Aussies coat is never going to grow back the same due to their negligence of education on their particular double coats has absolutely infuriated me. DO NOT BRING YOUR FURBABIES HERE!!!

I have been bringing my dog Chloe to Lavish for over a couple of years now. Chloe can be difficult and they always do a terrific job with her. I moved an hour and a half away and I still take the time to bring Chloe for her Haircuts about every 8 weeks. I couldn't even imagine bringing her anywhere else!

We went for a nail grinding appointment. It was so fast! My 8 month old Labrador puppy was not afraid and by the time I was done paying she was back with nicely polished nails. Not even a whimper! We'll definitely come back for more "pawdicures" 😄After many years and now two Labradors (yup, Athena is 3 years old now and she has a sister) we've never had an issue. Our pups always come out smelling amazing and feeling clean. Plus they love the people who work there. That's a sign when a dog trusts someone doing their nails and baths!

Would not recommend taking your furry friend here. After 3 times we will never go back along with several friends and family. They state extensive matting on our pups face yet there was zero and completely shaved her. On top of it they missed spots all over when shaving here so we had to go back in home to correct their failures.

My mother had a bad experience with this business. She is elderly and has a larger dog who she needs to provide medication to for a grooming event. She was 12 minutes late for her appointment which she travels an hour to with no phone call from them that their groomer was no longer available to perform the grooming due to an emergent medical need. My mother left the appointment to then run into the groomer shopping at a local antique store during when her dog's appointment was scheduled instead of going to the emergent appointment which is the excuse she was told by the groomer. I called the company on behalf of my mother to see if they were able to do anything to make it right with her to calm the situation down and they said no. During when my mother was there upset about the appointment not happening, they did not offer to reschedule or make it right in any way. While I appreciate the need to the employee to get seen and supported by a doctor, the business did not support its customer or the health and wellbeing of the dog in any way. I will not be using this business and would not recommend.

I am sharing my review for I hope no one else will have to experience what I have :We have 5 dogs : 4 pomchis /1 chi- pooOur male Pomchi was groomed and was clipped on his private area which a small cut happened and razor burn also …. I didn’t notice this nor did they tell me . That night he washed his private area all night and was unable to urinate without pain . Made for a long night . Which lead for further treatment .Notified Lavish was apologetic wanted proof …. My word was proof enough this was my baby …..After talking with the owners I made another appointment for the baby pup Nalah was a great groom …Then to find out I was being talk about ridiculed in public and called names !!! To have a family members young daughter go home to tell their mother this information !!!Way to go LAVISH !!!!! How do you explain this ? One ! Gave you proof when I came in !!Want to explain ? Or should I put the name out whom was talking about a customer !!Be careful new customers just going in !I was a loyal customer of another groomer for years and just moved to Standish looking for a loyal Groomer guess your not .As you people called me theThe local : Crazy Groomer Hopper

Darci and the staff at Lavish did an exceptional job with my 2 golden retrievers. My boys will certainly be going back as regular clients. I cannot recommend them enough, 10/10 stars. Do your pooch a favor and book them a spa day at Lavish!

This is the third year that we have had Navia get her summer cut here. The cut was great but the facilities were terrible. There was dog hair all over the place and they are using a blow dry system that is very loud and I heard two dogs whining while getting this treatment. I won't subject my dog to this in the future. I don't remember being sued in the past and will not be coming back.

First time visitor, very nice staff, clean and welcoming facility, my pup was groomed nicely and she was happy when I picked her up and didn't seem anxious or overwhelmed from the situation at drop off/pick up. Not quite the way my breed is supposed to be groomed for a Berenese but she's not a show dog so it doesn't matter, and she looked quite nice otherwise. Thank you for your services!

I was a very loyal customer of Lavish Dog Spa. I brought my 2 dogs there for approximately a year and a half. I was late for my appointment today due to my car breaking down and when I called them they said I had to reschedule and when I tried to do that they requested I prepay for the next appointment. Loyalty does not go both ways with this business.

First time with Lavish Dog ! Week past ! I took the garden hose out , and my Lab ran across the yard in hiding behind chairs ! Wife asked if I sprayed him ? Nope ! Wherever I went with hose, the Lab would stay far away ! Interesting ! Something wasn't right with our Lab since Lavish Dog visit ! Never went back to Lavish Dog !

Never seen such poor service. Honestly, you tried to show compassion, in my eyes it was FAKE! As I looked about your asstablishment, j saw a absolute mess! Who are you kidding? I saw high prices, And you have the imigatated Gaul to tell me that a flea bath will cost 15.00$ dollars more on my fee of 65.00$Your out of your menical minds! You think you have the Midas Touch.... really.id suggest anyone dealing with this service to disconue the service. So every pet owner bring your pet here if that pet is due to neglect. Bring your horses I'm.sure they will take them. Look around and see the forest thru the trees. One thing is...I'm Maine Guide. Hellifiknow.

They do a good job however I think $67.00 is way to much to pay to get an 11 lb dog groomed. I had to find someone else that is cheaper and does just as good a job.

Caitlyn is an amazing groomer. She not only does a fabulous job grooming my two Maltese, but treats them like they are her own, extremely patient and caring!!! Highly recommended!

The cut was just okay. A bit too choppy on the faces. The few times I've gone it there was only one person. When that person is also the groomer there is a frantic energy and no time for customer service. Also, they expect you to drop off and be ready for pickup as soon as they finish the session. On top of all of this they are twice as expensive as anyone else in the area. I wanted to like it for my 2 little one but I just dont....
