Pizza was so good…could not get a picture before some slices disappeared! This is light pizza that has toppings with great flavor. Loved the sun dried tomato. The pizza crust was sooo good! Some of the best I’ve had. You can tell they take pride in using high quality pizza dough. The crust reminded me a bit of sourdough bread…I loved it!

Come early and often to Little Notch. I love their morning pastries, especially the sticky buns, and the pizza. If you want $45 olive oil or the cutesyiest salt jar or most artisanal chocolate they also have a very curated selection. A long-standing local classic!

They sell fresh bread, various pastries, and they do pizza! $21 for the small, $24 for the large. The large is good for 4 persons (2 slices each) All look good and taste delicious. The deserts are on the expensive side.Careful about their opening hours. They are closed Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Definitely bring a raisin walnut loaf for home. If available get an olive French baguette. As an update coming back after three years. It's still a great place to eat pizza because they have some awesome dough as well as dessert. I highly recommend ordering the blueberry tart and eating their pizza and salad. Of course take a cookie or two for later. I highly recommend getting the cranberry oatmeal cookie.

Like most dudes....I deliberately don't use this word too often, but I found this sandwich shop / bakery to be very "cute", and not only appt, but central to the little town its located in.Bangin sandwiches made to order, with what I understand is their own baked bread. They also do cookies and other pastries....I appreciated the very regional selection of chips and drinks, and wish I could get them in my home state!Ummm...they also have rave reviews about their pizza (its a bakery afterall), so I'll be back!

We loved having pizza for dinner at this place. The inside is very clean and it is a cozy place. The thin crust pizza was excellent and there was a large selection of drinks. Although we did not purchase any baked goods, there was a large selection and they looked very fresh and high quality. In all, I would recommend this café.

We were quite disappointed with our experience at this bakery. It had been suggested to us by quite a few people, so we had high hopes. We got four pastries and a ham and cheese croissant. Of the pastries, only the ginger cookie was noteworthy. Perfectly soft and chewy. The other two were mediocre - the blueberry tart and the sticky bun.My boyfriend had asked if they could heat his ham and cheese croissant and they told him no. Which is pretty absurd. Who wants a cold ham and cheese croissant? While we had been waiting in line, we noted the prices of other items. $20 for a super small pizza, we discovered a six pack of small blueberry muffins was $18. None of the pastries in the case showed prices, we had to ask. And this place was ridiculously overpriced for the quality.Save yourself the time and money and go to Milagro down the road. Better baked goods and better service.

Amazing amazing breads and baked goods, but my god their Broccoli sandwich... it is life changing. I will want (their perfect) Broccoli on all sandwiches forever.

Since I was staying in Southwest Harbor, I had a number of interactions with Little Notch. The pizza I took away from there was one of the best I've ever, ever had -- truly exceptional. The baked goods (three different kinds of cookies, a scone) were dry and unexceptional. I appreciated the friendly service and that they were open on Mondays, when most of the town is closed.

We are visiting out of town and took a drive. Ran into this little gem. Wonderful. I got the cupcake and it was to die for. A must do.

Amazing pizza and salad sandwiches and soup. Have been ordering pizza since 1996. We travelled and lived all over the country for many years until we moved back to Maine. Hands down our families favorite pizza the quality has remained and service is always outstanding .Love the addition and enjoyed take out lunch sandwiches and soup one afternoon and pizza and salad take out for dinner . Easy to order and pick up !

I bought several different types of pastries here during my stay in Southwest Harbor. All were fresh and good quality. I do not like having to ask what the price is when they have stock out or on display. Certainly their prices are high but you are getting fresh made with high quality ingredients. Good quality products with very helpful staff. One day I bought a sandwich and a container of gazpacho for lunch. The gazpacho was outstanding and it tasted home made. I would buy it again with no hesitantion and for the amount and quality and a reasonable price it was a good bargain. Wish the soup container had a price on it but when I asked it was reasonable.Nice selection of breads and pastries all fresh baked with other items to go like soups and sandwiches. They do pizzas also. If you go to their web site and look at placing an online order all items are priced. The little printed menu that is available in the store covers pizza and sandwiches pricing only.

Pretty good pizza and the range of toppings is great, but the “25 minute” wait was 40 minutes. We also got garlic bread and a garden salad. Staff was a little annoyed when we asked for them to let us have the garlic bread as soon as it was ready because we had two hungry little kids, but they complied. Salad was fine, fresh and well portioned, but not something you would go out of your way for. My suggestion would be to order a pizza in if you have the time.

Stopped here with only 20 minutes to grab a quick lunch before our next bus left. Prices are very high onpaninis and nothing on shelves or coolers wee priced. Panini took 15 minutes and was the size of a peanut butter sandwich for about $15. Save yourself and go next door to Sawyer's Market. Sawyer's Market has a great selection of pre-made sandwiches, wraps, blueberry muffins, and produce at good prices.

The store's pies, bread, and pastries were all displayed very nicely. However, no pricing was shown anywhere and all items were WAY OVER PRICED. We had the blueberry and apple tarts, OVER $9 EACH, tasted like a buttered croissant with smeared canned blueberries. The brownie we also had was not good nor worth $2.75. The boxed brownies at the grocery store are rated higher stars than theirs. We will NEVER buy anything there ever again and world never recommended this store to anyone.SHOPPERS BEWARE.

Many favorites from here…chicken focaccia is to die for and their pizzas are the best on this island. The breads are delectable - crusty outside and soft on the inside. The owners are the sweetest! Don’t miss this gem when visiting.

I live on an island off the coast called frenchboro it’s difficult for me to get to little notch bakery for their sandwiches and pizza but hands down the quality of their ingredients and the way they let you build your own pizza is the best anywhere I’ve ever been I’m a Sicilian Italian grew up in an Italian home and highly recommend all of their products try it for yourself you won’t regret it

Delicious pizza! Took awhile to receive it, but worth it! The people receiving sandwiches made me wish I'd tried a sandwich too! The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The homemade bread looked delicious. I bought a sesame loaf at $5.99 US funds, aka sticker shock! Hope it's as tasty as it looks so that I can forget the price. They don't post prices on their baked goods. Ask for the price ahead. They are taking advantage of tourists good will.

Great sweet stop for the whole family. Blueberry pie a la mode was a delight and all my kids loved their waffle cone with kids sized scoops. Fun flavors & wishing I had tried the cold brew coffee float, yum!

I am writing on behalf of many people who summer on Swan’s Island. We love Little Notch bread and are very disappointed that the bakery is no longer delivering to Swan’s Island….That is the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5….

The pizza and pastries were very tasty and definitely recommendable. Pizza is one of the best in the area and the pastries as well. However the bread I tried (a baguette) was very bad and definitely not fresh - would not recommend it.

All I can comment on is their sticky buns. These are phenomenal. So much so we drove out of our way on the trip home just to get another.I’ve read other reviews that complain about the price. The sticky buns were reasonably priced. But it is true they do not list their prices.A note to the management....you could probably improve your Google reviews by simply listing the price...there’d be less surprised and upset customers.A word to those who complained about the price....have you bought anything else on the island? Just about everything is overpriced so it’s kinda tough to know when to complain about pricing.Final note....cool little shop, great pastry’s, weird hours, overall definitely worth a visit (or two) but ask prices first.😜

Staff was great, but that was about it. I have never had a greasier pizza in my life. It was hardly edible. I also grabbed some snacks from the bakery that were not too great either. This was the last dinner on our vacation and it was definitely the worst one. I wouldn't recommend pizza here - they do make bread which may be good, but I hadn't tried it.

Stopped by at this wonderful little place on our way back to Bar Harbour from the lighthouse. It had a little bit of everything - salads, hot & cold sandwiches, and pizza. All made fresh! We had the chicken panini sandwich and pizza. Both were delicious and had great flavor! Service was fast. Nice change from all the lobster options. Best part - fresh made breads and other goodies!
