Been a long time customer of home Depot, and a card carrying member with good standing, but there is an issue with profiling at the self checkout. Second time today someone who is just watching me because I am covered in tattoos comes over and says oh you missed something, ensuing an argument telling me I missed something when I know I did not, upon checking it was realized that I was indeed right as I take my time and do things right, just because someone has tattoos does not mean that they are a thief! I am in my 40s I am not a child, profiling is real and it's really sad that people at home Depot are entertaining the idea of judging people of by their appearance, sad day indeed

Great location. I use the store mode in the app to find the products I need. It tells me the exact aisle and bay where the product is located, and the exact number of units in stock at the store!!! It is really really helpful. Very clean and organized with lots of nice and helpful employees. everything is put away and organized, no boxes or pallets in places they shouldn't be. I enjoy shopping here, and at all the Home DepotsWhen I called the store to ask about a product question, a really nice man picked up within seconds and went out of their way to check a UPC for me and answer some specific questions. They definitely did not have to give me the time of day the way they did, but it was so helpful and they were so nice to answer my questions. This store goes above and beyond!!! 🙏I made a return here of an unused & unopened squeegee in original packaging that I bought for a garage cleaning project that I was not able to complete in time (winter hit and the hose & water in hose would have frozen). The return went very smoothly and pleasantly. Cashier was Glenn. Super nice and helpful guy. I highly reccomend Home Depot, and this location especially. :)

Ordered a grill two days ago from south Portland, Maine location. Was supposed to be delivered yesterday, wasn’t, but was rescheduled. We spent $$$ on food and stayed home all day waiting on this grill. Specifically chose that the grill be dropped off in the driveway if for some reason they didn’t make contact but we were home and waiting. There are cameras/doorbell in driveway, back door, front door and back porch…..nothing. At 5:24pm, just about the same time one of us were at the back door letting our dogs in, we get an email saying that delivery was attempted and failed. Nobody had been here. Despite calling them right away, and being told the manager will call us right back, an hour later the manager had no idea what we were talking about and just said sorry, third party company does delivery and they close at 5. None of that is our problem, we didn’t hire a third party company, and we weren’t given a choice other than delivery thru the website. No attempt at providing an actual solution. We had called early this morning to ensure that the grill was on the delivery truck and we watched the tracking all day. At some point we were third in line for delivery and then suddenly became 8th. Then just told that we somehow didn’t provide the driveway at the address provided where the grill was instructed to be delivered. Infuriating. And it was made clear by the associates we spoke to that they could not have cared less about solving the issue or retaining us as customers. Just a big shoulder shrug and “we will email them tomorrow.” Totally inexcusable. We didn’t hire whoever this third party company is, and Home Depot is open til 10pm so to be told that it’s after 5pm so “we don’t know” is not acceptable. Nobody attempted to call us, or ring the doorbell or anything. Pizza delivery guys figure out how to call when arriving with a $20 pizza but Home Depot with a $1500 grill can’t figure out how to contact the customer.Currently have no idea if the order is still valid or what is being done because every attempt at contacting Home Depot we keep getting run around and shoulder shrug.Never again using this mess of a company.Ps former employee, and left with no issues, so I always have been pretty loyal to Home Depot but now I’m done.

Terrible install. Delivery guys tried to tell me they did not have the parts they needed to hook up the machine; I showed them they did. Got machine hooked up and left - machine works but is crooked, out of level and not all the way under the counter where it belongs. Called a scheduled a repair - no one showed up on the appointed day. I wasted an entire day. On hold now trying to schedule another repair - they are saying two weeks out? Supervisor is trying to reach the delivery company now.

My home away from home people say. That might be true because as a handyman I do a wide variety of jobs and need a really wide selection and some tips from the Pro Desk now and then. They seem to always have what I need and are constantly updating their merchandise selection.

I feel like it’s not unreasonable to expect a delivery window under 14 hours. I ordered a lawnmower to be delivered, Home Depot helpfully scheduled it between 6am and 8 pm. When i called, the customer service employee was very helpful in suggesting it was my fault for not spending several hundred dollars for a narrower window.

I ordered an item for pickup and when I arrived they said it had already been picked up - but there was no name listed for the associate involved in the transaction. The customer service representative said it was probably an issue with their system and that they had been encountering lot of issues lately. This happened several weeks ago and I still haven’t received a refund for the item I never received. I’ve never had this problem at any other Home Depot store. Furthermore the representative said the item was no longer available at the price I paid and that they were unable to honor it. Now I’m out the item and my money.

They did a measure, installed a new storm door we purchased from them and they took away our old one. Their contractor is very friendly, skilled and fast. Scheduling was a breeze.

Sadly they're short staffed and it shows. Was assisted by a nice lady stocking, Jackie. We asked for directions from a previous manager and he was rude and told me to go somewhere else that he was busy with another customer and took off. I went to the pro desk and shared my poor experience I'd just had with Eric and of course how Jackie tried to help. The pro helped me try and locate the item I needed, you guys no longer carried in store. I've had better experience other times, hopefully you find helpful staff because they just seem burnt out and discouraged.

Some of the staff are helpful but otherwise it's a bad experience. Pick up orders are useless. I'd say about 90% of my pickups have had some kind of problem or delay. They just can't figure it out.They also tried to sell me a 'show floor' out-of-box garden cart that was FULL of brown rain water because 'they didn't have any other ones.' They actually had 5 or 6 in-box on the shelf, they just didn't bother to check. They seemed confused as to why I wouldn't want the one filled with brown water. I had to show the person where the item was located. Then waited while the staff person went to get a rolling staircase only for him to realize it doesn't fit through the garden center door. Finally he said, "well I guess I could get a forklift...it's halfway across the store...." and I said yes go get it. Just give me the new item that I already paid you money for! How is this hard?!

The appliance sales experience went pretty well, with only a short 10 minute delay figuring out a coupon. However the delivery was 0 stars. The house is 99% complete. The delivery people drive by and did not stop. They said because it was a construction site. Yes, there was a crew putting on trim, but that did not impair the delivery company’s ability to back up to the house and unload and install! Now I have to arrange for another 4 hour window to await delivery.

Purchased a new fridge here 3 weeks ago. Followed the “delivery checklist” to a t. Threw away $200 worth of food to prepare for said delivery only for the truck to show up and 2 subcontractors tell me they are not allowed to touch a copper water line. I paid for a new water line to be installed with absolutely no mention of not being able to work with ours if it was copper. They wanted me to accept my new fridge and keep my old one until they could come back to get it 10 days from now. I had a Plummer that would be here in 10 minutes to take care of the copper line and the delivery guys were being yelled at by their “boss” that they can’t wait they have other deliveries. Horrible communication. Horrible customer service. Ruined my entire day and canceled my order.

Ordered a Samsung stack kit for washer dryer end of June. It was never delivered. Still have no explanation. Cost me $1,000's in rent income as we have been waiting to show the apartment with new washer/dryer. Tried calling Anthony who is the Special Order Specialist....left him 5 voicemails. Never returned my call. On 8/5 I have a VM saying the order needed to be cancelled and to re-order it. I just bought it from Bestbuy and am picking it up today. I used to think HD was better than Lowe's and now I will never buy anything from them again. One note - Jerry from the local store was very apologetic and sincere in how he handled it so thank you to him.

We purchased appliances from the south Portland, ME store on May 7 to be delivered 2 weeks later. The hardware and installation order was left off the paperwork, so the delivery truck showed up without being able to install. After waiting two more weeks, the delivery guys showed up with the hardware but no appliances! The appliance dept. manager Marissa was no help, didn’t return my call and after repeated attempts to reach her, only telling me that she has no idea what happened and we would have to try to reschedule another delivery which would be several weeks later.If I could give Home Depot negative stars I would.I’ll never shop there again.

I did a remodel of my kitchen, and after shopping around a bit I decided to go with Home Depot. Reason for that decision was my first (of a few!) meeting with design consultant Leor in South Portland. Leor helped me immensely with the design, and recommended a cabinet maker that was not the most expensive, but would provide all that I was looking for. She convinced me that I would love the quality and look of the cabinets while saving substantially over another cabinet maker. She patiently sat with me and my installer and answered all questions and addressed all concerns with a smile and a very calming demeanor. The cabinets arrived when promised and exceeded my expectations! Leor is an absolute asset to Home Depot. This lady knows what she is talking about!

I waited by the saw for 20 minutes and no one came. I went to customer service and they paged someone to come help me. After waiting 30 minutes I almost left when Ean came and said he'd help me. I only needed a 2x4 cut in half. Why don't you have someone at the saw all day? Lowes does! I asked for a manager and Nick told me that their understaffed. I felt like my business wasn't appreciated! Ean was very helpful and apologized for the long wait. I appreciated the help but it was too little, too late! I will not be shopping here again.

Horrible delivery. Driver dropped a pallet of mulch in the middle of my yard without asking. Horrible customer service. When I called to find out what was going on, I got transfered to a guy who didn't have a clue. He passed me on to his supervisor who also couldn't help. Seems they have no idea what there drivers are up to. Supervisor was VERY RUDE, she obviously couldn't be bothered with my issue. This store is the slum of Home Depot's.

Great stores anywhere I travel, and often you find an employee who really knows the products and how to use them. The rental shop is a go-to place when doing bigger DIY projects that require expensive tools I only use occasionally. Much better than Lowe's.
