This was by far the best place that we have been for lobsters and clams. Very friendly, helpful, and the prices are great!!! We will definitely be coming back over and over again. Quiet little town far away from the tourists.

Delicious, obviously incredibly fresh, and by far the cheapest prices I've seen for lobster or clams anywhere in Maine. Staff was helpful and the food was prepared quickly. Simple accommodations, but a nice patio on the dock with a great view of the water. Recommended!

These people are so nice and the prices are so low. This is the place to go for a Marine coastal lobster, without all the frills of a more touristy place.

Went in to buy lobster and soda. I was there approximately 10-15 minutes and was ignored by all three people, including the man putting more lobsters in the tanks. Then there was no one in the store or anywhere to be found. Zero stars for customer service.

South Bristol Fishermans Coop is as straightforward as it gets: great, fresh lobster, low prices, no frills. As good as the lobster and clams are, this is admittedly not for everyone. Picnic tables on a working dock may not be everyone's taste, but it was authentic and delicious as it gets. We would advise checking the hours: they close on the early side. We also learned that the day of our visit was the last day they would cook our lobsters for the season. The staff was friendly, the facilities clean. They let us pick our own lobsters and steamers, then cooked them up for us. We were provided with lobster crackers and a roll of paper towels. We brought our own wine and glasses, and, in the likelihood we come back, we'll bring lobster picks. I might also bring along some handy wipes. South Bristol Fishermans Wharf is a genuine treat, not to be missed.

Prices are incredible, lobster is fresh, and the view can't be beat. This place is worth driving down the peninsula for. You can feed a family of four lobster for the price of one meal at a tourist trap. Skip the hype, go to the real deal.

Bought 1.5 pounds of clams and opened up the bag and the odor that came off of them was not right. Such a disappointment. But, after such a nice response from the owner to my review will try their clams out again!

I've been buying lobster here for years and have never been disappointed. Now you can buy it they cook it and you can sit eat it right there and watch the show. It's a beautiful spot to relax.

We're looking forward to our 3-week, cool-weather vacation in South Bristol. Our first stop will be at the coop for dinner: soft-shell lobsters! Fresh, needless to say, and steamed to perfection. We'll take them "home" and feast. Can't wait!A major part of our joy in picking up the lobsters-to-go is the coop itself. It's the quintessential Maine for us New Orleanians - picturesque, and always busy with boats coming and going. It's a working wharf. This year we hope to crack our lobsters out on their deck, and watch the action!

The prices are reasonable and the lobster was delicious. They only serve seafood and it's BYOB. There are a few picnic tables on the deck by the water so get there early to enjoy the view.

Clams and corn were fine, but the soda was a year and half expired and the waitress did NOT wear a face mask and apparently made fun of our group for wearing face masks. Food was good but wouldn't choose to come back again.

Nice little spot right on the water the food was great lobsters are so fresh much different than store-bought lobsters fun to watch the working Waterfront with the boats going by the bridge going up and down for the taller boats to pass under very beautiful spot the smells of the working Waterfront might be a turn-off and they could use a bigger porta potty but other than that very nice place people are friendly there go out of their way to make sure your happyway
