Called to get my cat in for a rabies vaccine solely and was told by law my cat needed to be examined as well. My cat however was just examined and I paid over 200$ for blood work not even a month ago that came back crystal clear.I called another vet that I had brought my animals to prior, to see if I could solely get my cat in for a rabies vaccine and was told yes and they could get me in the very next day.Ross corner would’ve costed me 90- over 100$ for a rabies/exam when all I wanted was a rabies vaccine for my cat vs another fantastic clinic that will do solely the vaccine for 22$.The only reason I switched to Ross corner was because it was closer however hindsight is 20/20. I will not be back. For this reason among their rude staff, and LACK of care for my other animals.

These guys are so great and you can really tell that they love all the animals they treat. Before I had an official vet for my cats, I had to take one of them to Scarborough Veterinary Hospital, which cost me $2,000. It was insane. In the last month, I've had to take the same cat to Ross Corner Vet twice for a similar issue. They were able to take him right in, fixed him up and even kept him overnight for under $120. My prior experience had me terrified to have to take my cat to the vet; now I can rest easy knowing that anytime I'm worried about my cats' health, I've got a welcoming and caring place to take them. Amazing.

Dr. Amanda is a rare gem -- she is a great general vet and has a great deal of skill in applying alternative medicines (acupuncture chiropractic etc) to help me keep my teammate, Dobby, happy and comfortable as he ages

The care is wonderful and the staff friendly. The vet tech was awesome. Dr Rizner is quite knowledgeable. However, she tends to ramble and takes a long time to make her point. It would be nice if she were more succinct.

My dog had a exam for seizures we where told every 6months for a check up we called for refill on meds and where told we needed to go in for a exam ( 2 months later ) no biggie they wanted to check levels makes sense. Two months later we tried getting her nails done and were told she needs her rabies vaccine to get it done. So ok it’s what 20-25$ no biggie NOPE need an exam at 70$ are you kidding me she’s had two exams in four months. Then I was told it’s state law to have exam with vaccine. I printed out the law and provided it to them. Couple days later I got a email from the “ doctor “ that I’m allowed to have my opinions and am allowed to go find treatment elsewhere but I’m not allowed to verbally abuse her staff. OH IM SORRY correcting your staff with the actual law is verbally abusing I started at this vet when the woman’s husband ran the front desk. This place was amazing and now all they see is dollar signs use to be good but will never recommend now. I feel they tell there clients it’s law so they don’t argue the fact and just pay the extra 70$ but I was also told it’s “ policy “ but they couldn’t produce that either at the time I requested it. Be careful if you disagree with this vet you’ll be labeled abusive somehow there the victims shame on them

We had our first appointment with our 7 year old yellow lab last week. Staff was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and well-kept. I appreciated the relaxed approach to care, in which the staff listened to our concerns and worked with us to craft the best solutions for our animal. We definitely look forward to working with Ross Corner Animal Wellness Center as our caregiver for Clover, as she ages.

Great with my anxiety ridden pup. Love how there is no waiting room! You get put right in a room to wait for the nurse then doctor. No stress of dealing with a bunch of animals in one small room while you wait. They are great with both our smaller dog and large dog. The nurses get right down on the floor with our pups. Staff is super friendly and our dogs LOVE them and we do too!

I have been bringing my pets to Ross Corner Animal Wellness Center since I moved to Shapleigh in 2016. Dr. Amanda is the very best as is everyone who works there. She always takes her time and answers all of our questions. She is kind, thorough, and never rushes you out the door. They have seen me through the aging and death of my best friend, a german shepherd who lived to be almost 14 years old. We now have a goldendoodle pup who they have been great with.

I just love my vet. She understands my cats needs. On a recent visit she saw my cat was stress so she tucked her in her arms and let the cat hide her head under her arms. This minimized my cats stress level. The care for may animals mental wellbeing as well as their physical wellbeing is appreciated.

Our GSP, Ichabod had a chest tear from a tree limb about 6 inches "v"shape. Amanda and Todd, (& staff) immediately told us to come and see them ( via Facebook messenger) 830 am. We brought him in, from Scarborough ME and with in 20 minutes they had him ready for surgical repair. A few hours later he was ready to go. The next day, on a Sunday, he tore all the stitches out overnight. At 730 am we contacted them, and they were not in state but would be there in the afternoon and to bring him in to have it fix.. This was amazing service and reassurance that Ross Corner cares about the patient than the bottom line of money. The cost was impeccable compared to the 5 minute $100 consult at a local emergency vet, and 60% less then it would have cost if we had the local vet fix it. We will always continue to bring our pet there. Amazing service!

The employees there comforted my son very well and his cat had died on their table they came and very calmly told my son the bad news but, they also let him know they would save the cat ashes and paw prints for him which means a lot to my son they did a great job,!
