If you are interested in biking the Carriage road, this is the place to go! The owner, Robin, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and the bikes were in great condition. I appreciated having the mountain bike tires for the gravel and sand. This shop is also conveniently located and bikable to the Carriage road. Robin also even kept an eye out for me after I forgot my merchandise in the store. 10/10 would recommend and use again. Thank you!

We stopped in to Seal Harbor after a long drive through Acadia National Park to find this wonderful local shop! It had some great gear and even better ice cream. Very open, easy to park, and outdoor seating to enjoy. If you like books, check out next door at the naturalist bookstore. Great area to visit.

We rented bikes here for our visit to Acadia, and the service was absolutely excellent. They made it easy and gave us tips on which direction to go and hikes to do throughout our adventure. They have some great gear in the store and a fabulous Ice Cream Parlor which was the perfect end to our day of biking in Acadia! Would absolutely rent through them again and/or stop in for shopping and ice cream. Highly recommend!

We rented 4 bikes - 2 adults, 1 teen and a 9 year old - and we had a great time. The bikes were in excellent conditioner and the owner and family running the shop were so helpful and kind. They showed us how to get from their shop to a great carriage road route for us. I really liked the ease of getting from their shop to the route without having to take a bus or haul the bikes. My little guy loved the ice cream after the ride too!

Rented 2 adult bikes and 2 kids bikes today and it was awesome! Easy and much less crowded access into the park. Jamie was more than patient with us describing where we should go, which direction, and what's appropriate for an 8 and 9 year old. He nailed it!Shop is great, full of good quality stuff, small and personable.After 13 miles, we had an in store ice cream treat and then a two block walk to a beach. Magical day!Highly recommend!

Great place to rent bikes for the carriage roads. Much easier and less crowded than a Bar Harbor rental. We parked our car in front of the bike shop and left it there for the 4 hours we were riding. We got three adult bikes, reserved online one day prior. All three bikes were ready and waiting for us with helmets. Bikes were in great condition. We were given super helpful tips about which roads to take. It is a 1.3 mile ride from the bike shop to carriage road access at Jordan Pond, mostly slightly uphill but not difficult. Awesome biking day. Highly recommend Acadia Outdoor Center!

Our group of six had a great time with our bike rental. The bikes were brand new. The owner was very friendly and gave us some good recommendations for us to go out and ride for the day. The best part was after a long day out riding the bikes back to the shop and ending with the ice cream shop inside. Thanks again!

The staff were super helpful and friendly, and the bikes were Giant mountain bikes in good condition. They showed us a nice route from the shop up to Jordan Lake and the carriage roads. It was a cold rainy day, so we ended it with a hot espresso, though the ice cream also looked good. Glad we rented from here!

I've been coming to Acadia for over 20 years, and is my new favorite place to rent bikes. The staff is super helpful, the bikes are in great condition, and the shop is a quick 1.5 mile bike to Jordan Pond House. And they have an amazing gear shop with ice cream + coffee for sale. Such a gem!

Rented two bikes for a day at a great price and was surprised by the amount of really nice gear they had for biking, camping, and pretty much any of your outdoor adventure needs. Reserved two bikes for a day trip biking through Acadia. Both bikes were in excellent condition and ready to go when we arrived. This being our first time in Acadia, the staff gave a nice introduction on which trails and the direction we should ride. Their blueberry ice cream was also a nice treat after 30+ miles of riding.

This store was one of the greatest highlights of our trip. Not only did they rent us great bikes that we took along the carriage trails, but they had ice cream and shopping for us upon our return! We were a little nervous about biking with a 5 year old and a 13 month old but they shared how we could bike safely and still have a great ride! And the staff is excellent. Super helpful and kind! I am going to send everyone who asks what to do in Acadia to Acadia Outdoor Center!

We’ve stopped by Acadia Outdoor Center a few times already this season. They have great new bikes, very friendly owners and staff, a lot of unique outdoor gear and other gifts, and our 6-year-old son has proclaimed they have the best ice cream (Pug Nuts) in the world. Their location is very accessible to the carriage roads and Jordan Pond House. Highly recommend Acadia Outdoor Center and can’t wait to see the future climbing wall and kayak rental.

An awesome place. We rented bikes here, and rode them around - had a wonderful time! After we were done, we had coffee and ice cream, which were very tasty!!! They sell a lot of high-end sports great too. Highly recommend!!!

We were able to walk in and rent bikes (with free parking nearby). Perfect location for access to the park and it's carriage roads too. Great availability in different bike sizes. I'd rent here again in the future.
