I used to enjoy coming to this store. The service WAS excellent. I asked if I could simply place a couple of items on the counter so I could just look around quickly (a glass measuring cup and ramekins that fit inside it). The flat response was, "No, ma'am. You can get a cart." She pointed to where they were. What if I didn't want a cart? The other associate added, "We are working there." There was nothing on the counter, nor a cart next to it as if to be used to sort through donations (which should not be done on the sales floor anyways). Instant turn-off. I promptly paid for my things and left. I hate to say it, but with that kind of service, I will not be recommending this store.

First time at this location, tho I have been to one in Presque Isle a couple times. This one is a little smaller, but it set up well and has wide & varied selection. Will return when I am in the area again. Will do a FULL review at that time.

Half the items are reasonably priced. The other half are way overpriced. Some no-name generic heavily used sneakers shouldn't be priced at 12-15 dollars. used furniture is also priced high for the wear.reminds me of an overpriced yard sale.

The store is pristine! Many items in great condition.I’m not sure about the workers, I think I heard them complaining about the items I bought, But its just as likely they were making a comment about a bad experience one of them went through.UPDATE: nevermind, the workers are lovely!! My mom dropped her rosary that she loves and we thought it might have fallen in with the stuff I was donating. They helped her look all over the store! ❤️ it wasn’t there, she found it in the grocery store. I’m thankful for their help!

These people are really wonderful I have been shopping here for 7 years. Yes it’s a hit or a miss but when you ‘hit’ you ‘HIT’ 💅🏻✨

i've only been once while already in town, but it was the most wonderful store full of all of the little treasures i like to have. I went in with my younger brother, because he shares a similar passion for trinkets and vintage glassware and he told me just after we left that it was his new favourite store. There were so many things i had to stop myself from buying, but in the end, i did get a small green throw blanket, a lovely brown floral comforter, and an old slip with the most gorgeous detail by the neckline. My brother insisted on a glass pumpkin for his room. Although it is quite the drive, i know i will be back to this lovely store in the near future!

Threads of Hope is a friendly charitable store for clothes, household goods, bedding, art and furniture. They have nice jewelry, well displayed and fairly priced, some by local creators. Two dollar Tuesday is the best day to buy clothes because most of the clothes are two dollars each except otherwise marked items. Go check their web site for current info.

Depends on when you go in. Some days the employees (or volunteers??? Not sure) are over-the-top friendly and the next day not even a thank you for your purchase! SMH.Inventory; way overpriced!! Just ONE example; I saw a comforter set in there l thought about buying... but it was so over the price it should have been... it was not new! I thought I'll see if it's still here next week, maybe it'll be discounted. Well yes, it was still there... But NO discount! Long story short... Here it is SIX WEEKS LATER & STILL THE SAME PRICE! This is just one example.I seem to meet people while l'm shopping there that feel the same & have had many similar conversations about how absurdly outrageous the pricing is. One last thing, my sister passed away and we donated ALL her (NICE) belongings to them... We got the NASTIEST looks from the women there... Now, l take all my donations to Goodwill.I don't want them to go away but l would like them to start pricing things to SELL!! lt would keep the inventory fresh and customers spending money. Isn't that the whole purpose. They get the stuff FREE.

I have had several experiences donating to this location. All have left me feeling admonished and disrespected. I have been made to feel that donating items was a burden for them and that asking for a receipt was adding insult to injury. I chose this location only because of proximity. Today was the last straw. My boyfriend walked in carrying a medium sized box. The woman working looked at him without saying anything and dramatically rolled her eyes at him then turned away from him. We left with the rest of our items and drove all the way to Biddeford to donate to Goodwill. I will never return to this location to donate or to buy. I am disgusted by an organization that claims to uphold Catholic values. I apologize to the community members that will lose any help that may have come from the resale of any of the items I had planned on donating.

Very friendly service, great prices for a variety of gently used items. The place is always clean and fairly well organized for a thrift shop. I highly recommend this store for quality, gently loved items.

Always good books to find, the clothes are in good shape too not damaged or too worn looking.Sometimes you hit it right and find loads of good stuff, other times not too much. One of my favorite stores.

Good selection of DVDs and CDS. Book selection good. Limited clothing. Toys looked in good shape. We didn't interact with staff since we were browsing quickly. Nice store.

One of my favorite thrift shops. Staff is professional and helpful. It is a thrift store so it is hit or miss. Their clothes are a little pricey I think, but I’m sure their overhead is high being in that plaza.

Just arrived after 40 minute drive to donate one bag of items... web site says they take donations mon-wed 8a-4p... walk in tues at 145p to be told “we stopped taking donations for the day”.... these people just make it so difficult to donate and most of the time I get attitude as well.... I’m done- I’ll save up and make a trip to goodwill!
