Super clean, and the employees here went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. Absolutely fantastic group of staff. Super friendly, amazingly helpful. Set aside some things for me so I could drive 30 mins to the store. Helped look up stock availability at nearby Ocean States, wrote down the SKUs for me, and told me the quantity at each store. They literally made my entire day and were essential to me completing my shopping trip. Everybody here was just wonderful. Definitely a stellar group!!!!! ❤Aside from that, the store is just great! My favorite store ever! Million times better than Marden's! Way more organized and they have SOOO many useful household items, cookware, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies for rugs, storage containers, etc. etc. It is big lots, Walmart, Christmas tree shoppe, eBay combined!! So many wonderful finds, and they are ALL NEW!! NO USED ITEMS! ALL PERFECT CONDITION, crazy deals. Always such a fun and interesting trip, but you know there will always be staples and essentials for amazing prices that best every other store. I am obsessed with price comparison. Best place to buy toys btw! Amazing prices!

I am obsessed with this store's weird snacks and candy, unique jarred spreadable flavors and jams, their baklava and their assortment of weird chip and cracker flavors and cakes in a box! I also love their assortment of honey flavors! You can make a mindblowing custom Charcuterie board!! Dont forget the maple cookies and chocolate covered pretzels!! ......And I havent even mentioned their sparkly shoes! XOXO

Ali and Baker were super friendly and helpful - with their help we found so many cool things!! However at all costs please avoid Nick the cashier, he gets 0 stars for sure! A major creep towards young girls and children, overly “friendly” comments and leers, and gave out stickers as an excuse to spend extra time talking with the children in our group. Please make sure this is addressed, we’d love to come back but don’t feel comfortable bringing our kids around him or want to deal with his unwanted attention again.

I encountered one of the rudest gentleman of my life here.He works mornings I was dropped off early by my transportation company because they also do drs appointments and instead of my staying on the bus for an 1.4 I had them drop me off at joblot a half hour before they opened didn't think that would be a problem. Wow, was I wrong the man that works there came over screaming at me for sitting in my wheel chair on the side of the building, waiting for them to open up, chatting with a fellow cleaning the parking lot. That employee was screaming in my face that I was a useless homeless freak. That I was better off dead and he then started screaming at a woman that came to my rescue with her dog who he tried to kick. She started pushing me away from this madman who had a tazer and forbidden me from going into joblot that he worked there etc. I am not homeless I was dropped off from my transportation company that picked me up at my home but even if I was that man was out of line he was mean he had a tazor he was threatening me with and a woman in a car that was following this mad man around honey calm down please a stop stop stop stop!! I guess that he doesn't like homeless people but if I was he still couldn't treat me that way ans cooperate Is going to probably fire him but anyone shopping with there kids beware

Love it for its coffee sales, gardening stuff, clothing sales, and art supplies. 1 September 23, I have been trying to give Baker a review, but for some reason, I can only find 9 cashiers. I know that every time I came to the store, she made a special effort to say hello, and I tried to her when checking out. She always said goodbye as I left also. She is a great person and cashier as well as an employee as far as I can tell.

This was my first time going into this store and I was actually impressed with how many different things they had in the store to be honest, at first glance looks like any other second hand shop but once you step inside it's almost like a Mardens feeling, I'll be going there more often to pick up odds and ends of things that I need for around the house. Not very expensive so it's light on the wallet.

The employees work hard to help you out! Prices for gluten free product are way cheaper here. What I noticed is customers are impatient. Stop rushing! Please try to be patient and empathetic to the staffing issue all businesses have now. Give staff credit for their willingness to hold a job. If you're frustrated, lower your expectations, it's a pandemic.

Went in to buy a inexpensive gazebo, yet the one I wanted was out of stock. Manager was very helpful and suggested I check back in a few days. Place is good for getting anything cheap. They have an amazing selection of olive oil of all things. Reminds me of a Big Lots without the furniture. Amazing prices on terracotta pots from Italy for cheap. Deals abound and the staff was nice. I will shop there again.

Great prices on most items- ESPECIALLY Imported chocolate, gourmet food items, Skin care… and all the California wine was $3.99 and tasted great! You have to stop by often to check out what they have because the inventory changes!

Bar none, a great place to shop... from dry goods in the kitchen, outfitting your home, to finding the right gardening supplies, finding great priced clothes, or just the right kayak...they really do have just about everything. Plus, they have great prices. Definitely worth a visit.

We expired dog food by 5 months, Cesar's minis and today seeing my mini wheats clearly is expired as well.. I have calls out to the health department.. beware .. 10 employees working on the floor to stock new arrivals but no one rotating product !! 😡

So.... they were having their anniversary sales when I went in looking for some bed sheets. I found a set I liked, but it looked like it had been improperly labeled. I took it to the counter along with my others things and pointed it out to the cashier. She was very kind and friendly. She took the product, saw the labeling, and decided to give it to me for the mistaken price (roughly half-off). I was very happy indeed. I would recommend this Ocean State Job Lot, And probably all the others like it.

Store is awesome!! They offer alot of stuff you can't find anywhere else (LOVE the food section!)... BUT the three star review is due to the RUDEST EMPLOYEES IN ANY RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT I have ever been to!!! I'm not sure about the management, but the CASHIERS are horrific, so in part they are somewhat responsible for knowing how they treat customers. I was in the customer service industry for 40 years starting when l was 14... So l think l know what I'm talking about!

Originally gave a 3 star rating due to general appearance (very packed and overstimulating), but gave an extra star due to their grocery section. There's lot that's hard to find other places (Maple Cookies... what?!) and prices are really reasonable (organic steel cut oats for under $5, for example). It may not be much to look at, but it's worth the visit.

The line to check out was very long with only one cashier. Meanwhile with seven people waiting and two other works standing up talking and not opening an other register. That is not the best customer service. Thats why I gave a three star rating. As o.s.j.l. emailed asking why I rated the way I did.

Wish I could give less than 1 star first off, the store is great and the merchandise is decent but the staff is horrible, particularly one woman with blonde hair and glasses that feels the need to treat her patrons with no respect whatsoever, I understand the line was wrapped around the store but it's no reason to be rude to your customers for it, will continue to shop there but will not tolerate being treated that way again.

Job Lots has a really impressive art supply section! It's not a giant selection, but the supplies they do have are good quality (Strathmore etc) for very affordable prices! I just picked up a Strathmore mixed media sketchbook for $6 less than I could get it at Michael's.
