I think the actual big apple is 5 stars. the wash is 1 star. Absolutely disgusting.It smelled like mold and must, and there was paper clogged in two of the washers in the coils hidden. Ruined my clothes. I can't wear those again and have to get new ones. absolutely disgusted.when I told the workers one of the girls literally laughed at me, when I was really nice about it.The benches were cute. matched my VSCO aesthetic. would never be caught dead in that laundromat again.

Shout out to two employees at big apple on main st in Sanford. My wife stopped in last night to pick up few essentials on way home and left couple items on counter. She stopped in today to pick up couple things and they had her items set aside for her with copy of her receipt. Rare these days indeed....normally you wouldn't even try and bother explaining that you never got items in bag when you got home. So thanks to both of you for honesty and integrity.

The service here is just awful. More than once I have been given grief for only having a $50 bill on me . I know for a fact that their safe would have vended the change needed and instead I was given attitude . so I purchased $15 in scratch tickets that I did not need and still was given attitude. About a week later I stopped in for a nip of vodka and was told that it had to be placed in a paper bag. As someone who has sold liquor in the state of Maine I know that it is not a law and yet I was not allowed to put it in my pocket. The older dark-haired greasy lady continue to insist that it was state law not store policy. I have also seen them card grayed haired men in wheelchairs for a pack of cigarettes , they were quite obviously more than 30 years past 18

Don't ever forget your ID no mater if your 100 years of age or not they card all for cigarettes and alcohol. I don't mind being carded it just bites when I don't have my ID on me and they refuse the sale. I'm 54. I'm plenty old enough.. frustrating.. Other then that the staff is aways friendly and thier store aways clean..

The store is run by less then compident people I was three minutes late in the middle of a rain storm and the guy would not let me get my cloths all of my cloths out of the drier. Now no towels for a shower and no clue when I will b able to get them because of my schule. I go to the store every single day and can't get a 3 minute break! You don't care about your costomers

The people behind the counter are always nice and helpful but if you need to buy alcohol you have to have picture ID. store policy no matter what age.
