This Shaws is huge. It is a clean store fairly well stocked but you're going to do a lot of walking if this is where you do the bulk of your grocery shopping.The selection is excellent here. You'll find items here you don't find elsewhere. And I like the store setup quite a lot.Upon entry you'll find yourself in the produce department with good variety and nice looking produce. There are multiple frozen foods areas for ice cream, another for pizza and things of that nature and yet another for frozen entrees and meat items. If you don't see something you want, keep looking because it's probably here.As mentioned before I like the layout, which leads me to saying I like where the bread & bakery items are kept, the last aisle in the store. To me this makes sense as to want baked goods separately bagged and riding on top of the heavier items in my cart.Then on your way out is the pharmacy and customer service areas. Again, I find that convenient.And when I was there they had adequate checkout lines open plus a couple of self checkout stations which I chose to use. Simple enough to do.

I’ve lived near Shaws my whole life - it’s a running gag in our families about how terrible this Shaws is. Insanely greedy and over priced compared to everywhere else. New paint doesn’t make the store worth going to.

Large, well-merchandised store that is easy to navigate. They rearranged a large part of the store earlier this year, and it has been a big improvement.Unfortunately in the past month or so, I've encountered numerous issues with the check-out process that increasingly cost me money. I've had issues with rewards/coupons not being applied due to their point of sale system hanging and losing my information, items being scanned multiple times by the clerk in error, and self-checkout of items not taking discounts labeled on the items without staff assistance.

I would say this store is due for a remodel. Needs bigger sefl check out . Could smell mold in the bakery particularly by the Heidelberg bread. Old packages of Tillamook cheese.

I have been there with my son who has autism and grocery stores he normally doesn't do well in I have been here almost every day since the day he was born there workers I can count a handful the one who always has fabulous long nails who always greets us when we are there the one who wears a wrist brace with blong hair amazing and will get it done the night worker he looks young blong hair glasses braces and has an accent amazing with carmyne and I think her name is Michelle night manager has glasses also amazing my son 💙 absolutely loves shaws because of these people he may be having a fir and then see one of them and a new person appears I just wanna say thank you for making my shopping so much easier 💙 we love you all !

This is one of the nicest Shaw's I've been to, it's pretty huge.If you're from the Dakota's/Midwest you know how good Dot's pretzels are. I usually have my old man mail me some a couple times a year, so now he won't have to! I was very shocked to find these here, you have to try them.

I just spent $80 on toilet paper, two pizzas, a bottle of wine and a couple toppings.This store has continued to raise prices long after inflation has leveled off.The parent company Kroger is documented as continuing to raise prices long after other stores have stopped.The company is predatory.this particular store can’t keep anything in stock.Will never return.

Purchased a money order on 6/2/2023, and stupidly confirmed the wrong amount. When I noticed the mistake 2 days later, I contacted the Customer Service at this sub par establishment and explained the situation, only to be told that while yes they sure did take my money there was absolutely no recourse for me to have the situation rectified. They refused to refund the money order and reprint the correct amount. So buyer beware, these scumbags will happily provide a middleman service to TAKE your money but they'll be damned before they give it back.

I don't always find what I'm looking for, but the salad bar has the best rotating selection, the bakery is great and their flowers always last longer than Hannaford.

The lines here are long but someone is always at the express checkout. Unlike other grocers in the area. They must treat people right here.This store is always clean and the produce isn't damaged, at least I haven't seen anything damaged. Lots of great products here and the service is always friendly and nice.Just one thing.. is that often times the staff here is on their phones, while on the floor and it makes them unapproachable; hence, the 4 stars instead of 5. Next time I'll take a picture of who and then upload. 😉

Helpful in this time of need always clean and staff very professional since I was there last time they put in new cooler and rearrange all look absolutely beautiful and easy to navigate..it Thanksgiving and the shelves are full just wait for your personal selections w/signature

Shaw's used to be the only store I would shop at, now I only go there if it super convenient. Things have gone downhill over the last ten years.Today I stopped in to mail a FedEx package, I actually bought a couple of things that were on sale for a decent price.The staff isn't great compared to where I normally go but overall a good experience.

Most employees are great. However, an employee can outright lie to management about another. They will get suspended for those lies and nothing happens to the one who lied about them. Not a good place to work because of that. No decent employee is going to put up with that. Yet the bad ones get praised. No wonder they have a hard time keeping people.

Convenient but set up is lousy, unless your a regular customer, in Wich case you don't need this review, who knows where everything is, you'll find yourself going from one end of store and back to find items that should be in aisles appropriately marked. Nice store but set up needs work.

This Shaws puts Hannaford to shame. Very, very clean. Very large and has everything you are looking for and then some. Employees were extremely helpful.This Shaws deserves more than 5 stars.

Love Shaw's they keep the store pretty well stocked. They are a little more pricey than Hannaford but, it's clean and organized. They have a great bakery and meat department.

We love Shaw's!! It is our go to!! They have a section where meats are sometimes 50 and sometimes 30% off if they are a few days left on the tag!! They sometimes have red tag specials as well down the aisles and in the meat were you really saved a lot of money. They also have marked down breads that are day old but that's fine with me! They also have a section of marked down home goods In pharmacy items which is very money saving.We love Shaw's!! It is our go to!! Product is usually in stock, the associate's that I have had the pleasure of dealing with are above & beyond, cleanliness of the store surpassed my expectations and the general atmosphere of the store was calm and made it easier for me to shop. I highly recommend shopping at this Shaw's particularly!

I always enjoyed this Shaws and their employees alike but they have an older woman in produce who has the longest, dirtiest looking acrylic nails and it's just so unsanitary during a pandemic nevermind in general. Remember to wash your stuff!Edit: back to 5 stars for a quick response, understanding, and acting on the issue. Great management! 👍

Went to the pharmacy in Shaws for the first time tonight and the guy at the pharmacy register did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. They said they shelved my prescription yesterday because it was ther for 13 days and my other prescription wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. Also all my prescriptions were supposed to be transferred from Scarborough and they only had 2 prescriptions on file. Not a great start to this pharmacy at all.

Store is always clean and plenty of helpful employees to help you find things or suggest replacements for out of stock items. Rachel and Dawn Marie keep the front running smoothly. Very pleasant experience

Does not carry rack of lamb. Feels like a budgeting market. So we Google ourselves to find other stores which was about 7 min away. May be pricey but as tourist, was needed for BBQ at the stay inn. Hannaford had me spent over $130 worth of seafood lol., Great BBQ with new neighbors.

This Shaw’s is horrible! They Don’t keep items stocked on there shelves and they don’t pull expired products as needed. Even there produce was terrible! I pulled over 12 yogurts before I found one that wasn’t expired. This is one of worst grocery stores I’ve ever shopped at. I don’t recommend going to this location. UPDATE AS OF 11/22: They still haven’t changed it’s just gotten worse since the pandemic. Unbelievable!! Horrible Store and I don’t recommend.

Shaw's in Saco is an outstanding, small-town grocery store. The manager, Brian, is exceptional and very caring.The store is clean, well-stocked and quite friendly. I like them... And I trust them. They have even delivered items to me more than once, when medical has kept me in. A well run, efficient, trustworthy place, with an excellent spirit.

Shaws is great . The staff is wonderful we have gotten to know alot of the morning staff at Shaws on Scammon street in Saco.They are all so nice and very helpful . We have been using this Shaws as our grocery store for 8 1/2 yrs, since we lived in Biddeford/Saco. We could be rite next to Hannaford but we still drive to Shaws on Scammon st. They normally always have what we want and need. Since COVID all the stores have been crazy and its no ones fault that the inventory has been crazy. That is NO STORES FAULT . THAT IS LIFE AND THE WAY THINGS ARE RITE NOW...SHAWS IS GREAT AND THEY WILL ALWAYS BE MY CHOICE OF STORES FOR GROCERY SHOPPING.

So there was a bit of a snafu with with a purchase I made that accidentally got lumped on with another customers purchase therefore I was overcharged. I went back the following day spoke with Julia, Deb and Rachel. All of them were extremely accommodating they treated me like gold and the entire issue was cleared up within an hour tops. This is my new favorite shopping center, they have the most phenomenal, professional and patient staff members. Additional shout out to Liam and Dina who addressed the issues promptly with their mangers.Thank you!
