I ordered two cakes from the Hannaford Saco Bakery Department for my husband's surprise birthday party and presented Baker Devon with two separate designs. When my daughter and I picked up the cakes, we couldn't have been more pleased. Devon did such an amazing job reproducing each of the designs and her hand decorating was done to perfection! On top of that, all the party goers said the cake tasted like homemade. It doesn't get any better!

This Hannaford Store has quite possibly the best layout of any supermarket I've ever been in. The layout makes sense, beginning with a produce department that includes a kitchen area.As you travel through this store seafood, meat and most of the dairy is along the back wall. The last aisle is bread, which makes sense so you're not putting heavier items on bread crushing it.Leaving the bread aisle you can head toward checkout, or into the wine and distilled spirits area. It is its own section within the store but designed to be shopped only by those shoppers wanting wine or distilled spirits.In the front of the store, tucked out of the way is the Hannaford Pharmacy, with a spacious waiting area. There are also multiple windows allowing more than one customer to pickup prescriptions and do consults for customer convenience.Another thing I liked is the nice self checkout area with several point of sale terminals. As I left one, my bag ripped and my items fell to the floor. The service leader promptly walked over asking if I would like a reusable bag at no charge, which I appreciated very much.The store is clean, and better stocked as of the day I'm writing this review than many other stores in the area. Even though the store was quite busy, it didn't seem crowded and I didn't see long checkout lines.

Great store. You can tell it's well managed as soon as you walk in. The Sushi bar is excellent and the whole store is cheaper than Shaw's and the employees are friendly and helpful. Everything you want in a grocery store.

I am writing to complain about the consistently poor quality of the bagged potatoes sold by your store. I am throwing away about one third to a half of a 5lb. bag of fresh potatoes with the hannaford logo on the bag.

Why am I shopping at Hannaford? With their prices, I could be getting the groceries, in Monaco! Prices are unrealistic..Their lost leaders are good, store is clean, staff pleasant...just way over priced, thank you.

The place looks fantastic! Looking forward to the remodel to be completed! The service and staff are great! Tanya, Marie, Jonathan and Bubba Bergeron ( Nathaniel )all do awesome.The store is always clean , stocked. The bakery is always super helpful! Last week the bakery baked 2 fresh Rosemary loaves and put them aside for later in the day so I could make some tasty Italian sandwiches for a neighborhood get together for the 4th of July! Hannaford Saco is my grocery shopping store!

we were 3 adults from Canada, 3 from France, we wanted to buy alcohol and they asked the ID from EVERYONE. The cashier couldn’t “validate” the passports from the French friends and had to call a supervisor for that…. we do not look young. It’s just non sense that makes the experience stressful.

While they didn't have the wine I was looking for today, they do carry a wide variety.I like the layout of the store with the exception of the bathroom, it's all the way at the other end of the store, and it never fails, I need to pee as soon as I walk in the place.I don't care for the bakery products at Hannys but the deli and produce is typically very good.They had what I needed on my latest visit. Seems about the same on my latest visit. This time also, just higher prices

Need more staff. Literally 3 lanes open and this is a coastal vacation spot. Prices RIDICULOUS! Shelves not stocked. Bought fish from seafood and I'm pondering throwing it because it smells really fishy. Doing all my food shopping prior to ever returning to this area.

Went into Saco Hannaford today, saw they had a salad bar. Well pathetic is an understatement describing it. The selection was minimal at best. No utensils, no salt pepper or salad dressing unless you pay extra for a package of Ken's. Why bother have a salad bar if it's this abomination. Go to Shaw's in Saco if you want an actual salad bar

I spent a lot of money on various produce from this store. I purchased various items that should have kept for at least a week. The day after I purchased a bag of apples they were already beginning to mold as well as the oranges. I also had my habaneros in the fridge and they molded within about three days. I have never had these issues before therefore I believe it has something to do with the store it has been kept in. It is very disappointing that I ended up wasting so much money.

Local pharmacy folks who are great with asking good questions about bad combinations or slightly off combinations of medications that should be considered when you are refilling your prescriptions. Basic thing but not everyone does it. They do!

Always carriages in the stall.Clean bathrooms.Smiling pharmacists.Love the sushi & local liquor selection.Small pet peeve is how often their frozen pizza section is under stocked.Everything else is great.

Great 👍 store. All staff are eager to help you with finding what I'm looking for. Service with a great smile. Even the customer help me. Where as I have a hard time walking, so I'm in the motorized cart. Great staff as well as great customer. Love the service.

Produce department displays are filthy. Got a job there and everything I was told upon hiring was changed around. Left after forth day. All nice until your in and then department manager tells you all you were told was a mistake. Produce manager needs to clean his department up, it's disgusting.

I returned avocados that I had purchased last night. The store clerk who helped me and polite and timely in taking of me, and I got my money back as well as a bonus. I shop here all the time. They are awesome. The store is always neat, clean and the staff is so very helpful.

Clean and well stocked. Very friendly staff. Laid out logically. Can even buy smaller portions of meat for one or two, not all family packs. Pricing is decent. But only a few registers open for many patrons and the wait was long, but they did add more cashiers as the ligrew

I usually go there every summer and I always liked how I could find everything there. This time I had the best customer service ever! The lady cashier was so pleasant and genuine. I wish I could remember her name and I wish my husband wasn’t rushing me so that I could go and tell their manager how professional and polite the cashier was. Customer services like that will always make the customers leave with a smile and always return.

Despite the self checkouts hannaford has really good deals. If you sign up with the app you can get your coupons online, 3 free items a month and the 2% rewards. It all adds up to savings that the other grocery stores don't haveGo early morning and you can get alot of the managers discounted items too for even more savings
