First time here. The cottage is neat and clean the view superb and mother nature is at her best. Good base of operation for those who like to explore. Swim,fish,hunt snowmobile,hike etc. One can eat at Maynards (7 course dinner)also the Birches camping and restaurant. Rockwood Bar andGrille and corner store. Mt Kineo is an interesting landmark there are hiking trails along the cliffs and lots more.

Perfect peaceful cabins with amazing majestic views of Moosehead Lake. Misty and Joe and their sweet children are amazing hosts of their family run cottages. They are also very knowledgable about the area and happy to assist you and answer questions about both your accommodations and the surrounding area. The cabins are special for me as I stayed there with my family as a teenager in the 70's. Misty and Joe later became the new owners and continued to make it a special place. This was my second trip in two years and I plan to return!

Absolutely a beautiful place. We had a wonderful time. The only thing we had an issue with was that one of the room's mattress was so worn, the coils could be felt and made for long sleepless night.. Unfortunately this room was needed, so he couldn't sleep elsewhere. Also, there is no microwave. I would definitely come back here; I would just be more prepared. You do need to bring your own eminitities such as kleenex, paper towels, etc. The family members who own Misty mornings are so sweet and kind.

Very clean, rustic cottages with full kitchen are just feet from Moose Head Lake shoreline. Every day started with the "misty morning" they are named for. Loons calling the evening in and mama Mallards with their ducklings cruise past during the day. Beautiful setting and nice hosts. Would absolutely recommend to a friend.

Great spot. Nice cabins. Incredibly nice family. Joe has a wealth of knowledge of the lake and is an all around nice guy. I would definitely recommend staying at Misty Morning Cottages.

We stay here every year and love it. Family owned, they are delightful and so helpful. We are always welcomed upon arrival with smiles and anything we need. They go above and beyond to make our stay a great one and they succeed!!

We just got back from a 2 week stay and Misty Morning Cottages (our 4th year here) and as always it did not disappoint! We traveled with our granddaughter and our dog and we all had a fantastic time. The cottage was very clean & comfortable with all the comforts of home. The view can't be beat and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful! Misty & Joe are amazing hosts! They both work hard and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We always feel at home at Misty Morning Cottages. The cottages and the Moosehead Lake region are all you need for a fun and relaxing vacation. We already booked our trip for next summer and can't wait to be back. I would give ten stars if I could!

Misty and Joe are nothing short of super hosts. They'll help you as little or as much as you need. I cannot thank them enough for being so accommodating during our stay and with the many questions I had leading up to the trip. My family and I were looking for a peaceful getaway and we surely found it here. The cabins are rustic and provide the feeling of camping while being able to have amenities such as a bathroom, kitchen and beds. Joe was kind enough to take our family via his personal boat to Mt. Kineo so we could hike for a few hours. That was certainly a highlight of our trip and the view from the top is incredible. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and Joe even taught them how to tie some different knots and the trick to catching bait fish. We had lovely neighbors which made our experience even better. We were fortunate enough to be their during a meteor shower and the the views sitting outside and in the loft bedroom with all of the windows upstairs made for an experience my family will never forget. If you're looking for a place with the friendliest people, to get away from being connected to your personal devices (although wifi does exist in the main house), and to truly soak up all of the beauty of Moosehead Lake, this is your place!
