It's one of those places where you shop prudently. They have a wide variety of items, and the quality varies. We've gotten some good things there at good prices - like a bright orange sweatshirt with manmade Sherpa lining, great for hunting season.

Always a pleasant experience, not every find is a winner but is usually a gr8 deal and you can find some small gems! I find the sales associates to be pleasant but the Manager there is the best! So very friendly and wants his store to be everything it can be. A lot of odds and ends from food to home, clothing(love all their socks), housewares, decor and linens and things. I bet you cant leave without a cart full!

I thought my review had been posted but I guess it wasn't, here it is...The bathrooms need a bit of help, the store itself is pretty nice. The cashier was definitely in a bad mood as I was cashing out the first time, but the next day when I went to pick up another pair of leggings that were on sale; there was a different cashier. She was definitely a lot nicer. Store can be a tad confusing in the grocery department, but everything else was pretty easy to find. I do like the fact they have items you wouldn't normally find in other stores.

They do have great deals; but as far as their hair & beauty products I do not recommend this place..I bought makin’ waves texture spray w/ coconut oil & pearl extract. I got home & I smelled it, it smelled like alcohol (normally it’s a great smelling product). Thank goodness I didn’t spray it in my hair. The same day I also bought mascara which was completely dried up. So I think it’s fair to say their products are old.

I have to say the people who work at Ocean State Job Lot in Rockland are the most helpful, cheerful store workers yet! I was there yesterday to get art supplies (great buys on canvases and brushes - I'm a beginner acrylic artist). Found wonderful cargo shorts for my rugged sweetie - after looking everywhere - and even kippered snacks for my dad and an air pump for those impossible to blow up beach toys. The man at the checkout was very friendly, folded the shorts neatly and packed my finds carefully. GO SHOP at JOB LOT !! You'll find wonderful buys!

I really like the Crazy Deals. No tax and often results in the item being totally free. We shop there maybe twice a month so the credits are easily used. They have a decent selection but not everything is available all the time.

The cashiers are awesome for what they have to deal with but the store manager lacks many things. He's degrading and very unaware of what's going on in his store. On top of that I heard many other complaints about him and how he treats his staff. I've been going to that store since they opened and I'm very unhappy with the way it's going. Also very few of the same faces in the last year or so. I'm not so sure this new manager is working out. I wish the store the best but will be going to Belfast from now on.

Inventory is inconsistent, but you can find some good cast iron cookware for really cheap.Also good deals and selection on spices and extra virgin olive oil.You have to know what to shop for here...some things are priced very well, others are too high.

Ocean State has lots of items in the store for really great prices. The only thing about this place that isn't so great is the presentation. It has a dirty store type of vibe as well as it looks a little disorganized, They have good times but for the most part they aren't the highest of quality. The service has always been really great and worth checking out. I do enjoy visiting this Ocean State.

Great experience. There was a wait at checkout/ Not to long......Bathrooms were great.....clean! My husband stated there were no paper towels in the Men's room! The temp is usually warm......would be more comfortable if around 72°!

Love this store! Great deals! Like a small Mardens...u can find beauty products, household items, grocery dry goods, pet and medicine cabinet items as well at tools, diapers, bed sheets and toys. I go at least once a month.

Lots of good deals but during the past 2 trips here, I have been overcharged on the quantity of items bought and under-credited for coupons presented. Each time I then had to get back in line at the Service Desk to get an adjustment. Same cashier both times. Check your receipts before leaving!

Great store! It is spaced out nicely so you can easily manage a cart! It is also bigger than I thought! The best part was how pleasant the staff was with their greetings and service!

This place has everything. Employees are nice. The dehumidifier is drying my basement and my flower seeds are germinating in front of the house. Hard place to get a job, but box stores or anywhere you work you have to bring your own energy & happiness.

I wanted reusable bags ..note they no longer have them cause of Covid19 .I request them to bring then back I use them for other things .Note thanks for raising all your prices and charge customer for the cashier service .Will say Manager was nice and got me two bags that I came for .I expressed how I felt about the changes. Probably will be long time before we shop there again . Kick us when we're down ! Just so you know I'm not working been 2mon. I'm a Nail tech. I found same product with increased price tag printed on boxes lol. Just goes to show your 2.00 hour raise you gave your employees to work during covid 19 will be considered a gift from the customer not the company. The short if it . You charge us more for products and chare 2% tax for your casher checking me out. I found more then one item with increased prices from your company and only sense covid. Wow!Maine ,Heather

Wow. Where can you go and buy 4 lights for $59.96 and get a store credit for $59.96.! Still spend crazy gift card money.Just bought 2 zero gravity chairs and 2 fold up beach chairs all on crazy gift card money $140 !!
