Fuel truck driver basically pitted me on the highway, was in the travel lane while the fuel truck was traveling at a normal speed in the passing lane, while driving the truck randomly on tries merging into my car essentially all within full view of the mirrors of the truck, had to make friends with the breakdown lane for a minute, feel like awareness should be a top priority for a driver of a large truck especially one carrying fuel

If I could give it a 0 star, I would. They screwed me over several times. First, I went to the office at the beginning of summer hoping to cap an oil price for the winter season. I was put on the waitlist hoping to get a call at some point just to find out last week that they won't cap me for the season. I'm not very happy with this so I ended up capping my oil price somewhere else. Considering that I've been a customer there for over 10 years, you would think that would count for something. Secondly, my oil tank was a really old tank and they never told me that I needed a new tank after so many years. Lastly, they did the piping for me almost 10 years ago (from my generator to my propane tanks). The metal piping rusted, was bent, and wasn't clamped down correctly. If my current heating company hadn't let me know about it, my house could have gotten blown up and I could have been in the house. Maritime put my house and my life in danger, and because of that, they cost me over $1,200 to fix it. The only other person that was there that day was my electrician, and he gave me the paperwork that Maritime was involved. Of course, they deny doing it because they don't want to be responsible for paying my bill. My recommendation is to not use Maritime and go with another heating company.

Ultimately gets it done in the long run, but my review is more reflective of my customer service experience. Simply called them for an update on a potential service call and was met with unnecessary curt rudeness. After I understood they wouldn't be available for potentially several hours I explained that I wouldn't be able to remain at the location and requested if I could be called either before or after the technician did their work, to which the rep essentially responded with something along the lines of, "Well I can't just sit here monitoring your account all day, so no. You'll just have to call back." The call ended shortly after. This paired with several other moments just felt like the company representative was being quite aggressive towards me, likely dealing with their own work frustrations and it projecting through in their communication. I understand if they don't have a system in place for promptly communicating between technicians and phone reps, or that its not within that individuals job responsibility to contact me about my service call, and I'm not here to complain about that. I just don't see any reason that these sorts of customer service interactions need to add to the frustration of an already tense situation. Aside from several inconveniences caused by the entire happenstance, my inquiry about the status should not have piled on further, at least in the form of human communication issues and not due to less controllable factors.

My mother recently set up a new account with Maritime. Last night, she ran out of heating fuel. She called this morning at 6:30 and spoke with Terry. He was WONDERFUL! Very friendly, polite and assured her that a truck and technician would be out today to get the furnace going again. The previous company we used would have made her wait two or three days! I'm calling this morning to switch to Maritime myself!!

I'd rate higher if they'd actually deliver the fuel to the right address, or the right tanks. $1200 in fuel this year just for it all to go in my landlords tank, not mine. Gone without heat now for over a month because of this. This is absolutely unacceptable, we live in Maine where if you don't have heat it's a death sentence. Come on!

I just had your tech Darryl look at my Rinnai heater. Darryl is a good solid tech, and has great people skills. Even my dog loved him. I’d give Darryl 10 stars if I could. He deserves a raise (no matter what he makes now).
