I love their cookies and spice selection, but I have gone in twice for gluten free food and each time I was disappointed on how hard and stale the sandwich’s were ;(( and it’s just not just the gluten free food it’s also the regular sandwich’s. They are just gross and they taste like dog food

Good Tern had what I needed to soothe my sinuses. The atmosphere alone is a healing one.

We just happened upon the Good Tern while exploring Belfast. What an awesome store! We perused the isles and agreed that it would be a regular place for us if we lived locally. The fresh mushroom selection was fantastic!

Assists a great place to shop for good products and clean foods. Service is awesome as well.

Honestly baffled at how this coop has 5 stars, it truly must be because it is the only store like this in the area. Hopefully one opens soon with staff that can keep their heads.

Locals know! The place in Rockland for locally grown/pesticide-free produce, meat, dairy and well curated selection of beer, wine, cider etc. Also a good array of supplements and herbal meds. Would be great if the kitchen could make a few more grab and go items, but what they have is delicious.

The cafe corner is open again! Good quality products, nice & helpful staff, lots of produce from local farms, a whole aisle of bulk. Great fr ppl seeking local, organic, thoughtfully-sourced, those with specific dietary restrictions, or just wanting to generate less plastic trash. Lots of stuff for kitchen DIYers, too: sprouting, yeast, specialty flours and more. Members get discounts & volunteers get bigger discounts!

Kind of gone downhill. If there's one person in the aisle you can't get by them and one guy was just sitting there examining vitamins for way too long. Hard to show up and use a cart and do serious shopping there. And I don't think a lot of that food is health food at all. For example, they don't have non-fat plain yogurt. What? It's either going to have sugar in it or quite a bit of cream. The fresh vegetable department. The day I was there was not as good as that at Port Clyde general store. Not as much variety not as well. Kept. Not as much love. Although probably more organic. The meat department has a lot of sausages and things like that. A lot of high fat goat milk. Too much cosmetics and things like that. Considering that half the population over 50 has high blood pressure which is contributable to high sodium, I can't believe there's almost no low sodium choices. I don't even think they sell potassium chloride there, which is a salt alternative. Kind of store I would like to buy so I could revise it. Get people around here eating healthier. Too many chips, sweet things, their soup is loaded with sodium. I don't need a muffin when I go in there. I think over time what sells well has taken over and people don't make the best choices these days. Don't forget your hardcore customers. I spend major bucks when I go in there. Or at least would like to

This review is long overdue!! I love, love, love this store!! I moved to Rockland last summer and was so excited to find the Good Tern. It may be tiny but it is terrific! I love the local and organic produce, the bulk selection and vegan options. The to go food is handy and delicious too! The staff are kind and friendly. So grateful for this store! :)))

Costly but nice that they have produce and such from local growers and cattle ranches. Reminded me of the fancy Mother's Markets in the OC in CA. I did not expect that.

Great place to get everything you need. Great bulk and local selection. If the big stores don't have your item for dietary restrictions go here.

Sort of the old school organic health food store. Friendly folks, nice mix of foods and herbs. Worthwhile to stop by. These places are fading .

This place is my hippie heaven. Very clean, well stocked, and helpful staff. I ADORE the spice and scoopable section. This place will be for a good fit for you if you view food shopping not as a chore, but a mindful exercise in how you live, the impact your life has on the planet.

Great selection of veg and locally farmed meat, and containerless cleaners, syrups and others. They carry dear dairy, my personal favorite ice cream. Good prices.

Lovely natural food store. Pretty huge selection of fresh veg, frozen high-quality meats, and natural cosmetics/toiletries. They also have a little café with some yummy savory and sweet treats. Their banana-nut muffins are a meal unto themselves 😉. And good chocolate!

Pretty good selection of natural products and produce. But how can they justify $6.95 for half gallon of soy milk or a loaf of bread. Too rich for my income!

The aisles are narrow making it difficult to navigate with more than 1 person. The shelves are just too low to see products and their pricing. A good selection of bulk items, but again, difficult to see what the items are on lower shelves. They have some frozen meats and local refrigerated items, as well as a small area of health items--vitamins, supplements & aromatherapy oils, etc.

I was surprised at the great variety and number of products available in a store with such limited space. Had a good supply of organic and local products. Definitely will visit again!

Nice clean store. Good variety for the location. However, if you're needing to stock up and are gonna be driving there anyway, the Belfast co-op is a much better bet.

I like this coop and has ok prices. But my favorite part is grabbing lunch with my little kids and having a kid place for them to play while I finish my lunch. It's super smal but kids don't need crazy space, just a bit of fun. Great for moms and kids.

Seems to have a Good selection on the rare occasion I go there. everything is SUPER expensive though, so I usually head to fresh off the farm instead.

Great coop! It's small enough that everybody knows everybody and large enough to stock an amazing assortment of food items. Rockland is so lucky to have the Good Tern.

Very expensive compared to other grocery stores and sells all the same brands as everywhere else. . As a convenience store it's pretty handy otherwise if you're traveling to get there go to Hannaford or Fresh Off The Farm and save a ton of money.

Wonderful selection of local foods, and my friend who has celiac was very excited to see their choices of gluten free foods!

They have handmade soap and an eating area. Fresh made food and quality local produce. Small aisles though. Nice staff. It is pretty expensive.

I love going here. And generally find what I'm looking for. I just wish the aisles were a bit wider as it's a bit hard to maneuver through when there's more then a dozen people in the store.
