Great food, wonderful staff and service. Their soups were fantastic!! I’m a soup nut and have to say that their broccoli cheese soup was one of the best I’ve ever had; their fish stew was no slouch either! Sandwiches were freshly made and delicious. Lots of local beers available. We enjoyed a great lunch.

WOW. A little bit of a wait because we came on Monday and it’s quite literally one of 3 places open. But it is definitely worth a wait! The lobster melt sandwich was so fresh and flavorful. The chowder of the day was clam and it was one of my favorites in the area. The pumpkin gluten free cookies were fresh out of the oven, gooey and delicious. And all of the servers were so nice!

Best lobster roll I had in Maine and I had 3 this week. The owner's husband catches the lobster she sells and the roll is homemade bread. Truly delicious and high quality. But, I have to say, the clam chowder was the best of the week also. I would eat here 2x week if I lived here.

Had a really great sandwich here. They also had soups, salads, and a small assortment of baked goods. Good gluten free and vegetarian options available. They have a nice menu with lots of choices for everyone. Lots of space and tables. Great for a quick bite out or to sit and read after your lunch. Affordable prices.

Excellent sandwich shop right downtown Rockland. Great farm to table atmosphere. Drink options limited, and its normally slammed, so plan on a wait. But its worth it.

Clan MacLaren is gastric satisfaction for the soup and sandwich one. I highly recommend the Breton MacLaren: turkey, provolone, and the freshest veggies on toasted ciabatta. Yum!

Best sandwich/soup place on the midcoast of Maine. Excellent, creative food, super-friendly and competent staff. Met the owner - she's a gem. Overall a great place to hang, eat and chat. And as a local I certainly appreciate them being open year-round.

The atmosphere was very casual and quiet. The food was out of this world good. Simple Irish fair done to perfection. I highly recommend the pastrami sandwich (the double eagle) and the chowder.

Stopped in for lunch. Awesome staff, very friendly. Smaller menu, sandwich and salad. GF bread is huge plus. Double Eagle, chips and pickle. Also had a GF cookie that was awesome too. Highly recommend.

Excellent place to eat in downtown Rockland on Main Street. Excellent salads - my favorite is the Queen Victoria. Very friendly and efficient wait staff. Cozy place. Air conditioning when it's hot.

Our service was fine and staff was accommodating while in a whirl for an early closing. Sweet potato soup (cup) and Maxwood panini were great, clam chowder (cup) was good, but the reuben was absolutely lacking. sandwiches came with Ruffles chips and a pickle spear. This and a can of beer (5% ABV domestic craft) was a surprising $40.4 stars for what it was but pricey for a sandwich shop, I won't be back.

Fantastic food! Was my first visit after driving by for years. Had the Maxwood panini, and it's easily one of the best sandwiches in town. Will be making this a regular lunch stop for sure!
