I've spent a lot of money here in recent years. Staff is friendly enough on the surface, though this store frequently has the "wrong" price listed on the shelf, leading to sticker shock at the register. After letting it slide for a few years i finally started calling them out on it, as the loss begins to add up, and it is against Maine law to not honor the shelf price. Most of the time the cashier has honored this when i have brought it up, however a few weeks ago the "gentleman" behind the register attempted to not honor it, and became rude and unreasonable. This employee has only been working here for a year or so. I'm not sure from whom he is taking his orders, but i doubt the owner would be happy to know he just lost a loyal customer. While i appreciate the convenience a local hardware store offers, i can easily spend my money elsewhere and i will do just that from now on.

A really interesting place. They have everything you can imagine. Was in there yesterday and even noticed they had deerskin toddlers mittens. Besides all the usual Hardware stuff. Their staff is so nice. They go out of their way to make sure you get just what you want. Real old-time atmosphere located right on the Main Street of Richmond. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Nice looking building, about the best thing I can say about it. The prices are very high (double home depot or lowes in some cases) and the employees have more 'personality' then chain stores due to most of them being related one way or another to the owner.

The employees are extremely helpful and friendly. Fill my propane tanks here. Gas is sometimes cheaper here then most places.
