SO nice to find a restaurant that's not like the rest. Unique food your don't find at all the other cookie cutter chains. Quality is TOP NOTCH, doesn't matter what you get and they take the time to make you feel special with small things like fresh flower bouquets on every table. Service is on par with everything else. Must try if your bored of the lack of options AND it's right on the lake! Great view to accompany your meal :)

Went on Halloween which is a very busy day for them. Didn't have reservations but they were kind enough to get us set up on the back deck. We had three kids with us so it was perfect for them to play. Our waitress was phenomenal. She checked on us frequently even though we were out of the way. I highly recommend this place. Everything was super yummy.Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating and had a great kids menu.

Excellent food and service! Baked haddock and sweet potato mash was delicious! Chicken cordon blue with regular mashed potato was also super! Cheesy shrimp dip for an appetizer was awesome!!

This gem, set out in the country a few miles from Augusta, is the kind of place you tell your friends back home about. The menu is eclectic and thoughtful, the preparation and flavor were absolutely fabulous, the service was knowledgeable and the view of the lake was a beautiful context. Ask for a table outside in the summer, it will be worth it, and order the seafood casserole if it’s on special. It is worth every penny!

We held our employee Christmas Party here yesterday and it was the most amazing time ever! The service TOP notch , the food to die for , the space was perfect! June, John and their staff made this a very special party for myself and staff. As we are also in the restaurant industry we know exactly what goes into it!A buffet style meal that was hot and delicious. Fish , chicken , mac n cheese, meatballs and so much more . Enough for my entire staff and family to even bring some home!Live music including Christmas Songs by the fireplace making it such a cozy feel!From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank the entire crew at The Weathervane 🙌Love ,The Caron Ted’s Trackside Crew

First time there, but definitely not the last! It was a great experience, excellent food (I had the Waldorf salad), and terrific service even though there were 26 of us for lunch. Our waitress never missed a beat! She was very efficient and patient, and handled all the orders as if each was the only one she had to take care of.

My wife and I had crab melt sandwich's for lunch, which was very good.. The View of the water was beautiful and relaxing...However, I am not a fan when I get deceived.. Since it was lunch, I went with a soda as my drink, to keep the costs low... They provided me with a glass filled to the rim with Ice and barely any soda... Sucked it down in like 2 seconds... She asked if I wanted another, I said sure, not knowing they were going to charge me $3 for each one... So between me and my wife, we paid $12 for soda...Maybe half a can worth. Most places charge free-refills.Then when I order the crab-melt, on the menu it said it came with French fries and coleslaw. The waitress asked if I wanted regular, sweet -potato or Jersey fries(steak fries). I said, oh I like Steak Fries... She didn't explain to us that it was an up-charge of $3. :(The meal was great, I just don't like the dishonesty.. I would just beware of the hidden costs that aren't explained to you.

Ordered a $30 steak only to have half of it be fat.. spoke with the owner and she said, "oh yeah, we don't get to pick the steaks we order" I was flabbergasted on so many levels from her answer that I just chalked it up as a loss and a lesson. I WILL NOT be eating here again.. for the same price I can get Lobster in the next town over and better customer service!!In response to the owners comment, you are right it was prime rib, not steak.. however even for prime rib it was extremely fatty. There was more fat than actual meat.. I added a photo so you could see for yourself.I appreciate the offer to make it right but wondering why you didn't try and make it right that night when it was first brought to your attention 🤷‍♀️ Because you tried to make it right the 2nd time around I will change my 1 star to 3 stars.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Started off with a coffee. Took one sip and that was enough for me. Absolutely horrible. Sat around for almost an hour before they took our order. Not alot of options on the menu and the prices were ridiculous. Nothing looked appealing and I settled for an order of home fries. Received them in about 45 minutes. They were just ok. Also, I requested a glass of water with lemon which I never received. My neighbor ordered a Caesar salad which actually looked pretty good.

I do Karaoke. I’m only 18 so no drinking. Very nice place, very welcoming, nice staff and almost never any trouble. No bar fights, no arguing, no horrible drunk people. Very good about my service dog as well

The food is always great (fresh, hot, properly cooked)!! The service is absolutely spectacular!! I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because the last time I dined there, they had a musical duet set up in the corner by the fireplace & moose. The 3 star rating is not for the quality of the musicians. It's for the sound factor. Our table was about 10-15' away, and we could not have a dinner conversation due to the sound. Our excellent waitress kindly moved us, but the restaurant layout is really not conducive to having music playing while dining. It was still pretty loud after moving further from the source. I love music during dinner, but I prefer something that is soft and in the background and doesn't drown out a lovely conversation with friends.

First of all, our waitress was wonderful and very sweet. The staff are awesome.The food however was horrible. My family of 4 spent $200 for a meal we could not eat it was so bad. I ordered the whole belly clam shrimp basket (a dinner special) -$30-it came with 9 clams coverd in a ton of breading on soggy fries. My 1 child ordered prime rib- they picked the one piece with all fat and no meat. I know prime rib has fat that is part of it, but not 80%. She had an appetizer of fried Brussel sprouts, all burned.My other child was lucky, they had a bri appetizer that was good, the French onion soup didn't even have cheese on the top.My spouse ordered crab caked that was all filler and had a sour flavor. The escargot are not worth even commenting 😒If you want to just drink, they drinks were decent. We will never ever eat here again. Expected so much more for the price, small town support and experience. I will be making sure people are aware they should not waste their money. I am deeply disappointed

I can't recommend this place enough.I called for a party of 10-15 people on a Friday for us on Saturday lunch. Not only did they fully accommodate my group, they didn't with a smile, providing great service. One of our group ordered something off script, and one of the kitchen staff came out to verify and make sure they got it right, way above and beyond. Absolutely recommend and it's now my go to for dinner and lunch.
