✳️CASH ONLY✳️One of my ice cream loving husband's favorite places. And he may, or may not, have sampled most of the ice cream in Maine. 😉😆🤫We love the staff/owners at this friendly place in Raymond, Maine. A long list of ice cream flavors, plus other options, including my husband's favorite brownie sundae.Very creamy and full flavored ice cream with delicious baked goods (cookies, brownies, etc).There's a cute dining area in the screened in porch or you can enjoy your treat outdoors, but keep in mind, it's aptly named The Mosquito, with a lovely view of a marshy area and the expected flying insects.Highly recommend a visit to this seasonal Maine ice cream shop when you're in the lakes region.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Haven't been in here in awhile since they moved to this new location. If you haven't been either, it's CASH ONLY. But the ice cream was soooo good. Better than I remembered it. Had the Mint Chocolate Chip with a topping of Home-made brownie bites. Other flavors we ordered were coffee oreo, moose tracks (I think) and Brownie Batter.

Wow! Incredible spot. Delicious ice cream, amazing sundaes, and friendly and polite staff. Plenty of parking, tons of great seating indoor and out. Great variety of ice creams and toppings, Bit pricey, but certainly worth it --certainly will be going back.

WHOA!!!! Amongst THE BEST ice cream I've had. Really fresh and delicious. About 30 flavors, all unique. Also, Yogurt, Sherbert and Sorbet. Cups and various cones. Happy, friendly service. If you're within 20 miles of Mosquito, you gotta go!

This place is literally THE BEST. I don't want any other ice cream!2 warnings: they get VERY busy, and they have peanut oil in a ton of flavors. If you have an allergy, be sure to look at their allergen info. But they are very accommodating, which I appreciate!

One of my FAVORITE ice cream spots in Maine! They have an awesome selection of flavors, huge portions and great service! My favorite is the "Graham Central Station". Go get some... You won't regret it! 👍🍦

My wife got the graham central station ice cream and it was really the best graham cracker based ice cream we've had -- but the tropical freeze was understated and also very amazing! Definitely will return next time we're nearby.

My cousins took me here after dinner, but I was full and didn't order ice cream. After they gave me a taste I regretted my decision, it is delicious. The lines and setup remind me of the Chocolate Sparrow in Orleans on the Cape.

Stop here way too often coming back from Windham!! So many fun choices! Staff is friendly and ice cream is...ice cream! What's not to like?! What they do well is keep the traffic flowing on busy days with separate areas for ordering and pick up. Just bring your cash!! It's the only way your getting the goods!

Yummy and great service. I actually love the fact they do cash only; just a great old school feel.Portion Size for drinks $7 is robbery for an itty bitty cup that is NARROW and not even a normal small cup size. But delicious. The cup looked like it was used for sundaes; maybe they just need to add actual drink cups/milkshake cups.Guess we will stick with scoops of ice cream. Can’t wait to try all the flavors

Just stopped in for a quick ice cream. It was really good. Even mid September. Personally, I love having ice cream during the fall and low season in our area (the lakes region). Even before the pandemic existed, there is less crowds and the weather is just as nice.

Good flavor selection, nicely displayed. They seem a bit more organized than your typical ice cream shop. Some indoor seating, some outdoor and pretty good parking. Overall 4 stars. I've had better ice cream, that said, it's still totally going to fulfill you're ice cream needs.

Holy Tolstoy. This place is super good. Huge selection, massive scoops, nice little outdoor seating. Their Graham ice cream was stupidly packed with delicious dough and chocolate bits. Their peppermint is one of the best of its kind. Can't wait to go back and try one of the other billion flavors. Trip is worth it.

One of the nicest ice cream shops to be found anywhere from flavor selection to quality this place is a sweet spot. Got to love the national park kind of feel to the building design and setting. The enclosed patio structural wood work and wooded view complete the experience.

Fantastic! Weather finally broke & wanted to surprise my son with ice cream. Turns out that I was the one surprised. A lot of places claim “Homemade Ice cream” and unfortunately fall short. NOT Mosquito!! My son & I did the Strawberry cheesecake but I also took the suggestion of one of the staff members and did a Gram Cracker ice Cream as well. UNBELIEVABLE! Best Ice cream I’ve ever had no lie. Check them out!

We love our visits to the Mosquito; it's a great little ice cream shop with a BIG variety of flavors. Wish they had more vegan "ice cream" options, but the stuff they have is delicious, the staff is efficient, responsive, and friendly, and the seating area is appreciated. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Decent Ice cream, A little overpriced. Cash only policy makes the spontaneous drop in not so fast for folks who primarily use cards. But their flavor selection offers a wide variety, and the staff are really nice.

Great ice cream in a historic space. Lots of flavors lots of outdoor seating. If you walk around back you can see the sign for the original menu from way back when.

I have been coming here since they were working out of a shack next to a gas station. Now in an awesome camp-like building with indoor and outdoor seating it's even better. The ice cream is amazing and I always get my favorite Red Raspberry Revolution! Prices are good and the people you meet are amazing. Though keep an eye on the local softball and soccer schedule, it's a popular after game stop :)

Absolutely my favorite icecream shop. The mosquito name also fits the spot PERFECTLY! Employees are always kind and it's super fast! My dog comes with me often and they have a little cup and icecream for your four legged friend! 😍

Place is great. They have a bunch of flavors. Some regular and some exotic. They have a polly dog for your pets that you bring. It even comes with a cute little bone on top of it. Service is extremely quick and it's right across from the lake. Perfect summer spot. Locals only! Just kidding tourists are more than welcome to this friendly atmosphere.

A wide variety of flavors and options. Very friendly staff. My main issue is that this is a CASH ONLY establishment. There is no technical reason why a business, no matter how small, in this day and age can’t accept credit/debit cards. My neighbor accepted credit at her recent yard sale.When I see a business only taking cash these days I suspect something’s going on in their books.Otherwise this is a great place!

CASH ONLY, BEWARE!(only reason for the 4 stars)they make their own insanely delicious ice cream and the options are literally limitless!!. I could come here 100 times and still have something different.I REALLY WISH THEY HAD ANOTHER WAY TO PAY! with COVID times people just don't carry cash anymore, even if they offered to pay Venmo or use the square program. I know I keep forgetting this and they missed out on my business at least 5 times this year already cause of this.This place is true to it's namesake, WEAR bugspray or be bitten!!It's 1000% worth coming to this incredible spot!!!!

Love that they offer realistic sizes and a "kid" size that I can actually eat! Excellent flavor selection, friendly staff, parking on-site. Cash only! Easily recognizable and screened in porch for ice cream on rainy (or muggy) days!
