This is a very good veterinary hospital. The tech and vet was great with my dog, who isn't on her best behavior with vets. They tool their time talking through my portions on medications. I left feeling that my dog received good treatment, despite her objections, and I'm happy with the staff.

We are new to PVH, our vet had transferred here, and we followed soon after. I am SO glad we did!! Not only did they get us in quickly, the business as a whole, was so welcoming, and warm. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly (with my ferrets as well, not just us humans) with the staff, and vets, they truely do treat you like family. If you're looking for a wonderful place, that cares as much about your fur babies as you do, you have found it.

We are new to a pownal and had to make the difficult decision to help our dog cross the rainbow bridge .We happen to live close to this clinic and set our appointment here. The amount of care and compassion they showed to our dog and my husband at the appointment brought so much comfort at such a difficult time.

We have brought our cats there for yours! Family run atmosphere that fits with Pownal. Amazing service and care. They have even been able to do emergency surgery to save one of our cats life!

Great place where your pets are treated as family. They are budget "aware" so they lay out all costs before a procedure is done. This helps tremendously to be able to budget pet expenses.They practice current medicine and have the ability to do lab work in-house to keep costs down and expedite results.They have a very convenient location that is easy to find and easy to get in and out of.The offices, waiting area and examination rooms are clean and they have seperate rooms for different animals. Absolutely one of the best veterinary services I’ve ever used. Kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They are excellent with our dogs and kitty and always happy to answer a call to guide us through any questions. They care about what they do and it shows. I highly recommend especially for those with large working/herding breeds.

Karen Richter-Hall has a very gentle way with animals. She has cared for my cat, and 4 dogs over 10 years and is especially great with one of my dogs who is super shy/fearful (rescued from a puppy mill). I highly recommend her and her wonderful staff at Pownal Vet Hospital ❤️

We love Karen and her staff! The hospital/office is so clean and bright and you just feel welcomed and never rushed.We adopted my dad's Chihuahua and my aunt's mixed small breed when they passed away - absolutely loved both dogs so much and the sentimental attachment was deep. They both had to be put down at the same time due to serious age related problems and cancer and Karen was so good to us and them when it happened. Now we've adopted two other rescue dogs and they get the same wonderful and straight talk care.We'd recommend anyone to try this vet. She is that good!

Dr. Karen and her staff are all so caring and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable leaving my cat there the very same day I met them. He had a minor operation and is so improved!

Would never recommend this over priced vet. In my opinion Karen needs to go back to school to learn newer tactics. She completely misdiagnosed my puppy, in the result of him passing away a few weeks later. Someone also deleted my Google review I made a year ago. Would NEVER go here again or recommend to anyone. 👍

Karen and her staff are above and beyond when it comes to their understanding of animals. They are sympathetic and thorough. My cat has been treated by Karen since she was first a shelter cat. Yes, Karen ministers to shelter animals as well. Karen is the best.I would recommend Pownal Veterinary to anyone who needs a good doctor for their pets.

Thought this small, country vet clinic was the answer to the high cost of vet care in my area but boy, was I wrong. They may care about pets but lack the basic skills to run an effective business."You get what you pay for" certainly applies to PVH. There are far better choices of vet clinics out there....
