This might be my favorite shop of all time! Literally everyone was so nice, such a good energy in this place! I wanted to buy every single thing I laid my eyes on! Kevin was the nicest and so knowledgeable about everything in the store and which local Maine artist it was made by! 11/10 would recommend.

10/10 would recommend checking out this shop. The products are all made by local Maine artists. I love supporting local whenever possible. The staff are knowledgeable about each artist in their shop and can tell you more information about each artists work.The staff interacted so sweetly with my little one as well, even got her to smile. I bought this little onesie for an upcoming baby shower. I will be back soon!

9/30/23 - I LOVED THIS STORE! I was visiting from Maine and it's hard not to stop by this store. They lure you in with music they play outside the store but also the bright lights to see all of the amazing art work from different artist. I purchased lots of stickers and some ear rings. They tell you who you are buying and knew every artist. The employee's energy was so fun, happy, and cheery. It really brighten my night. I would highly recommend stopping by and taking a look at their store.

This gift shop features artists and crafters from the state of Maine. You can see from my photos that they have a wide variety of gifts and goodies to choose from. All high quality and much of the proceeds go directly to the artists. We heard a story today of a 12-year-old girl that submitted her artwork which was turned into stickers. Her first summer worth of revenue equaled $30,000.

We did not like this place. First of all, they sell stickers with the map of Maine, colored with ukraine flag colors. This is a US state, not an ukraine state. Also, the prices are high, and the variety could be improved.

A must stop in downtown Portland! The staff are so friendly! They welcome you but not pester. They offered my friend’s dog lots of treats, (tried) playing with my kid, and gave good advice about the area.The collection of art to purchase from local artists was beautiful and vast. I love how inclusive the store feels and shows with products. Support local artists, have a nice chat, and walk away with unique art!

This is the place to get souvenirs as they support local artists everything in their shop is made or designed by local artists from the state of Maine. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful they have great recommendations. They are open late as well so if you're running short on time it's perfect.We were extremely pleased with the quality of product in the store!

Overpriced and unfriendly. I was ready to check out but the 2 women at the counter were too busy chatting and ignored me for so long it became (more) uncomfortable. I purchased these 2 postcards and it was $7.38 …? This isn’t even an airport shop! Haha. I had a better experience at the shop called Something Fishy halfway down the block.

It was so hard to decide on what to get because I wanted it all! I was so excited to support local artists and left very happy. The shirt with the smoking seagull playing a guitar is soooo comfy and the stickers are the cutest. The lady working was very sweet and knowledgeable about the artists. He brother made one of the stickers I purchased! I highly recommend this place!

This shop is a MUST SEE when visiting Portland! They have the cutest souvenirs created by local artists, a range of items to choose from, but the best part (aside from their local squirrel mascot), is the people working there are INCREDIBLE! They have stickers and candy to hand out to little kids, we accidently knocked over a coaster and they did not make us pay for the crack, and they made us feel welcomed and allowed us to take our time and explore all the little treasures they have! I will make sure to go back every time :)

Visited Portland on Thanksgiving day and found most stores were closed. Thankfully The Maine Souvenir shop had decided to open for the Turkey Day Run.Owner was friendly and let us know about each artist and from where they originated.Was completely kind to our 3 year old as she explored the store and provided a card board holder for a picture print we bought to keep it safe in travel. (Wish more stores would do this) items were priced well. 48 for a nice hoodie is a solid price for a Souvenir. You have your artwork hanging on the wall in Ohio. Thank you again.

This was such a great shop with awesome staff who had great senses of humor. Such cute things in here including my quirky lobster water bottle sticker drawn by a 5 year old. Lol Highly recommend stopping in for gifts to remind you of a trip here or to bring someone from your home state.

This is hands down the most adorable souvenir shop I’ve ever been to. I’m a local yet can’t get enough. They have such a wide verity of things shirts, bags, stickers, hats, candles etc Everything is cute, local and well curated. To top it off the materials are high quality. The shirts are incredibly soft and comfortable. If you’re into candles, I highly recommend you smell the Acadia Candle. This is the go to place for getting anything Maine for family, friends and yourself :)

Beautiful store with the most friendly people there to greet you. We stopped off the highway to find the Penny press and it happened to be located inside this wonderful store. We were also pleasantly surprised that the Penny press is free. My Penny collectors were very excited.

I stumbled upon this shop while visiting Maine, and I must say, it was an unexpected gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine enthusiasm. The vibe in the store was absolutely delightful- a perfect blend of local charm and artistic flair. It's refreshing to see a place that takes so much pride in supporting the community's local artists, and it makes every purchase feel more special knowing that we are contributing to the local arts. Finding unique and cute souvenirs had been somewhat challenging during our trip. However, the Maine Souvenir Shop made it an absolute breeze! The staff was more than happy to assist us in finding the perfect items to remember our trip by, and their recommendations were spot on.

Wow. What an experience. The proprietor was absolutely hilarious and interacted really well with my kids. Awesome selection of unique shirts, stickers, artwork, hats, and more. If you want cheap souvenirs this isn't your place but if you shop here you are supporting local artists so it depends what is important to you. Great music too!

Absolutely amazing local owned shop! If you are ever in town you have to stop by here. They have cute enamel pins, sweaters, postcards, and more but everything is made by local artists! Not big kitschy stores. We met the store owner, Kevin, when we went and fell in love. He is a hoot! He gave us a free postcard because he ‘yelled’ at us but it was yelling with love! Alphabet community friendly too. Great place for gifts, highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

My friends and I went to Portland for the night. We ended up in the shop 3 times that day. All of the merchandise is made by Maine artists. The designs range from witty and whimsical to beautifully bizarre. Additionally, all the clothes are high quality - the sweatshirt I got is probably one of the softest pieces of clothing I now own.The staff here are also amazing. The employee, Josh, was particularly knowledgeable about the designs and provided a great experience to us. An absolutely fantastic store with unparalleled staff. A one of a kind place and a must for anyone visiting Portland!

Loved this place. All items are made by local artists and they have beautiful things, even the shirts and sweatshirts. The staff is so warm and friendly. A bit pricey but I'd much rather have my money go to support local artisans.

Visiting Portland with friends from CT & Arkansas. What a fun souvenir shop to happen upon. So very welcoming and high energy. We chatted, laughed and learnt lots of things about local artist. Spent some money too. Kevin and Kelsey make it a definite place to stop by and shop for unique items while supporting local artists. Dogs are welcome.Ps. Kevin thanks for food joint recommendations.
