What a great experience!! This was our first dog wash and it went so well. Staff walked us through all the steps of a self-service wash giving lots of tips and suggestions along the way. Everything we needed was right there, and they use excellent quality products. While we were there we got a nail clipping also and there's a discount to do it together. The woman who assisted us was incredibly knowledgeable, competent, and really had a way with dogs. Mine loved her!Also I noticed that they only sell the highest quality products. So if you're looking for a cheap brand you might not want to shop here, but for the name brands their prices are competitive with online retailers. And I don't find that often. I so much prefer to support a local business then one of the online giants. And now I feel comfortable that anything I buy there will be from a high quality brand.Also staff was so welcoming and said to be sure to come in anytime with my puppy. No need to buy anything just come in and socialize her. And I thought that was great. So if you're on the fence, just go on in and see how you feel! This is definitely our new home for all our local dog needs. Thanks, Dog Wash!!

The Dog Wash is incredible! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I washed my big dog in my bath once and swore to never do it again. This place makes it so easy! In and out within 30 minutes, with all of the supplies you need including a ramp to get her into the tub and a blow dryer to cut down on dry time. My dog came home so shiny and clean!

I went to The Dog Wash, etc for the first time last week. It was awesome, my dog Poppy was loved up by the terrific staff folks Ivy, Evee and Cassidy. They were really helpful, everything was so clean, accessible, well stocked, great variety. Will be back again!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. In 20+ visits we have had nothing but great experiences.The team is helpful and attentive, the facility is clean and welcoming, and they always have a great selection of toys!Our dog Tuukka loves it here (and he was never a fan of baths before).The prices are fair and they have a great loyalty program.

Great people, extremely welcoming. Really solid selection.Also from the signs and flags very friendly to everyone regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Might be a small thing to you but for the people who don't necessarily feel accept at other places it's a pretty big deal. And if you have a problem with that, well no one younger than you does and we're all going to outlast you so enjoy watching your bigoted ideals wash away in the sands of time.Haven't used any of the dog wash haircut services I just buy food there but it's very clear that they take good care of the dogs, all the dogs look very happy and all of it is out in the open not in some back room. So it's very clear to everyone there just how well the dogs are being treated.

This place is amazing! I couldn’t rate it any higher - from cleanliness, to rates, to equipment, to their shop, to the STAFF. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Also a huge shout out to Evee, an employee I met today. They were super great! And so very knowledgeable, generous, and kind.I brought a foster dog here for a self-service bath. Everything was VERY clean, not even any smell throughout the whole shop! The rates are the fairest I’ve seen (and there’s no time limit!). All of the equipment, from the tub to the WIDE selection of dog shampoos you can use (all included in price you pay for the wash), are top notch. The electric grooming air dryer was also great! I was also super impressed with the selection and quality of dog food they offered in their shop, not to mention the prices were all great! Same with the collars, leashes, toys, treats, chews, and plenty of grooming supplies! I will be coming here often. Best self dog wash I’ve ever come across :)

The service you get at the Dog Wash Etc. and Pets on Point is amazing. The team greets me and my dog by name. They are patient, understanding, and incredibly loving to all furry friends. Their storefront is well stocked, easy to navigate, and not overwhelming or overfilled. Their grooming services are diligent, careful, and have both the pet and human in mind (shout out to Kristin!). I drive by many stores that are much more accessible for where I live to go to Pets on Point and the Dog Wash Etc. I highly recommend their services.

The Dog Wash is a great place to wash your dog. They have everything you need to wash and groom. We have been going for years with 3 of our German Shepherds. Our Shepherds are very vocal about not wanting a bath, but the task is made easy do to the very clean, well stocked, and well designed bathing stations. The Dog Wash also has an amazing stock of pet food, treats, and supplies. Kenda is enjoying his antler he picked out.

We went here after Jill from Poetic Gold Dog Training suggested we find a front lead harness. We went in and were helped by Emma, who was nothing short of amazing. She sat with us and helped us find the perfect harness for our dog. She took the time to fit our dog with the harness, which was extremely helpful and something that we most certainly would have done incorrectly if we had done it on our own. She explained to us about registering our products and the benefits of doing so. She told us to walk around the store with the harness on and to feel free to even try it outside. She then helped us fit a jacket for our dog. The store was clean, well organized, and their items I felt were high quality and reasonably priced. This is not just a place for your dog to get a wash (They do have stations for that as well!), but also a "ToyRUS per say for dogs. Loved the store and we will be back!

Since getting our puppy 3 months ago, it feels like we've been to every pet store within 7 miles of portland. Last weekend we went to The Dog Wash Etc., and now it is our favorite of all of the stores. It's clear that the products and staff are carefully and strategically chosen. The selection of products is very good and priced very fairly, but more importantly it seems they've chosen the "quality over quantity" model of running this local business. The women working at the store when we visited were wonderful. All knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive, they helped us find exactly what we needed, and led us to even better options than we'd originally hoped to find. We will continue to support this thoughtful local pet store. LOVE THIS PLACE!

The Dog Wash Etc is a neighborhood institution at this point. I have been going here since they opened the first self serve dog wash in Portland almost 20 years ago. The knowledgeable staff keeps my furry loves living their best life. Greg, the co-owner with his brother, is an expert on pet nutrition and he has helped me solve diet issues I had with my newest puppy.I highly recommend buying local for your pets and supporting this family owned business.

I was impressed by their set up--everything needed was available, easily accessible, organized and clean! The folks working were super friendly and helpful. Great place to give your pooch a healthy fully loaded bath. Save yourself theess at home and pamper your pooch where hot water, endless shampoos, towels, and high powered hair blowers are at the ready. Oh, and they have a decent little treat bar to encourage your pup to return. I swear my dog loved it.

Great dog shop. You can clean your dog in several stalls installed on the walls--water is warm & you can clean your dog with a hose that offers the feature of warm water & shampoo and water. Towels available to dry dog after cleaning & warm air dryers as well. Shampoo, conditioner & sprays are available as well as the option of using your own stuff. Staff is friendly & knowledgeable--they welcome all types of dogs. Shop has available everything from dog treats to dog food, poop bags, toys, etc. 5 Stars.

Update: The Dog Wash just moved into their new location. Much larger space and it appears that they have a larger selection of food, treats, and toys. You need to stop by, say hello, and check out the new spot. In the same plaza, just a couple of doors down. The new wash bays are beautiful, can't wait to try em out.Great owners with an awesome staff that truly loves dogs. Been going to them for years, and will continue with "Henry", the latest addition to our family. Henry and I are always happy to visit the fine folks at Portland Dog Wash!!

Absolutely love them! The owner is both knowledgeable and friendly with a laid back disposition. The staff is absolutely amazing. Their prices aren't inflated even though they compete with the mega corps... Eve-E, who I have had the pleasure of meeting is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met and will make you smile even on the crappiest of days (someone we could all use a dose of post 2020. Everyone there is fantastic and I love being able to wash my stanky lab Phoebe for a the price of a large Starbucks coffee. Local businesses like Dog Wash Etc. deserve our business, so go there and you will not be disappointed!

Excellent staff, incredibly knowledgeable, fair prices. I have a large breed dog that’s loaded with trauma and triggers around grooming. The staff here is able to effortlessly engage with him to trim his nails in a safe manor. Really impressive!

I brought in my Chihuahua for a nail trim and was very impressed. Nina did not once nip or bark at the man who clipped them. He was very patient- gentle. They're so friendly. After 9 or 10 visits you get a free trim for your dog, what a deal. The owners love to interact with everyone's dogs. 💕 I found my new go to for her. I see how good they're with other animal's. Thanks to the man who did them, I forgot his name. He did a Beautiful job. It's a 5 🌟 yes for me. 🐾🐾

Worth the reasonable price to not have to bathe my dog at home. They even helped me get him into the tub. Price includes use of their tub, shampoo, towels, blow dryer and they clean up the mess. What more could you ask for?? They even have a loyalty program. They are also well stocked with everything your pup needs.

This dog washing place is the best! That have excellent customer service. I'm not able wash my dog at home because she won't get into the tub, but I have no problems washing my dog here. Staff is always willing to lift her up for me to put her into the sink which is very helpful. She's simply too heavy for me to lift. They also provide a variety of dog shampoo to use, as well as clean towels for drying. Overall, an excellent experience and I will recommend them to anyone. A+

We love bringing our dogs here. The staff is very attentive and kind. Always happy to help and explain everything the establishment has to offer. Our dogs have a nice tub to be washed in. The water is always at a pleasant temperature for the dogs. There are so many options to pick with the shampoos to use with the wash. They have many tools, and accessories for after the bath. They have grooming services too though we have not used them. They also sell all kinds of dog foods and other goodies you can pick up on your wash run. My dogs are always refreshed and happy when we bring them. It’s a family environment, the kids love taking turns in bathing the dogs. Best part you don’t have to worry about dog hair in your tub drain, or escaping wet dogs, or the fact that you end up all wet in the end. Compared to other local dog washing facilities in the area, these guys are better priced, and they have a loyalty program. Can’t go wrong bringing your pet here.

The cleanest dog wash I’ve ever used. They don’t have the shampoo and conditioner that comes out of the same hose as the water (purely convenience) however, they have a large variety of product to use instead. They thoroughly clean each comb/brush- like I said- cleanest dog wash I’ve been in. Hardly any dog hair laying around.

I've brought 4 dogs there over the years to use the self-wash facilities, and always had a great experience. I also buy my dog food there, and appreciate the range of excellent foods and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of toys, treats, and leashes/collars, too. It's the best!. The loyalty program is great, too.

Best place to take your dog for a wash. Very accommodating and easy to use. They also have a great assortment of dog food, dog treats, and everything dog. My husky loves the turkey and chicken necks.
