What a cool store! The menswear collection was really nicely curated and features really high-quality garments, but the vibe isn’t stuck-up at all. On the contrary, it’s a super welcoming environment that has pretty much the greatest music and HiFi system I’ve seen in a clothing store! Rock on!

High-end boutique with curated selection of clothing, shoes, outerwear for all genders. I found it a quality blend of NYC fashion meets Fashionable Maine winter layers. I found a pair of socks and flannel shirt that I can wear to work in the city. Prices can easily get to $$$$ but to be expected with highest-tier of fashion.

Favorite store in Portland. Awesome selection of brands (my personal favorites are carhartt WIP and rag & bone)I bought a sweatshirt there yesterday. It had a defect where it started coming unstitched at the point where the hood comes together in the front.We were talking about an exchange, and the guy offered that their tailor could just fix it!In 5 minutes my new favorite sweatshirt was stitched up and ready to go. Unreal service, and so much less wasteful than tossing a perfectly good hoodie.Couldn’t recommend them more highly.

A perfect shop, truly. I’m a woman who works in the fashion industry in NYC and loved their curated assortment of goods, particularly their Men’s! Barbour, Jungmaven, Rag & Bone, Le Labo…truly great stuff in a beautiful place. Very helpful and knowledgeable service from the man who helped my dad try on a couple Barbour jackets, which we ultimately did not buy only because we’ll likely surprise him with it on his actual birthday.

Looking for high quality, well styled outdoor gear, they have it. Wide selection of Filison bags, shirts and other items. HH jackets as well. Prices are what you should expect with this level of quality. They even had a number of ‘fisherman’s sweaters’ from Ireland producers. Worth a stop.

I intentionally went to Portland Dry Goods today, November 28th, with my wife to completely redo my winter wardrobe. We browsed the store for about 10 minutes waiting for an employee to greet us…nothing. The store was not busy and the two guys behind the counter were chatting amongst themselves. We walked out and didn’t purchase a thing. The brand they carry are quality and the prices are high which I wouldn’t mind paying for if I felt there was any type of customer service. I will not return.

Nice store to visit in person and well thought out selection. I made an online purchase during a flash sale, jacket had a broken snap and the staff were super helpful. Offered a refund and said that they would try to order another one as they were sold out. We settled on them paying for repair. I appreciated the effort and customer service.

Nice stuff, but I won't lie: it took everything I had to resist laughing when the salesperson told me that a leather and metal anchor bracelet was over $125. I bought something nicer from Boston the week prior for $20. And it was handmade by someone local.The clothes are nice, but again: I'm not paying $150+ for a zip-up hoodie. I can order a higher-quality product from American Giant, and it won't cost anywhere near as much as the things you see in this store.Great concept, and I love the building. But why would you pay this much when higher-quality products are available from other companies for a lower price?

Great shop. Some apparently have taken them as inattentive in other reviews, but I found them very professional. They let you browse their selection without pouncing, then spend all the time necessary to help. Bought a new Barbour and got my 25 year old one sent to be reproofed in 15 minutes. And they know their products.

Still the best store in town for nice men's clothing that's just the right mix of on-trend and stuff that lasts a lifetime. The employees are friendly and all sorts of helpful (John is fantastic), and they always have new things. Not a place for overly cheap fast fashion, but they have beautiful things at a reasonable price.

Visited this store on Friday, August 13th, in the late afternoon. We walked in, 2 of the 3 associates working looked up and said nothing to neither me nor my husband. We browsed around, walked by the 3rd associate, and still no greeting. As we were leaving, I had to wait for an associate who was carrying items to the floor to merchandise. I said hi, and he barely responded back. Given the fact that none of the associates greeted me nor my husband, we would not go back to this store in the future nor order online.Being I have over 20 years of retail experience as a Store Manager of a large clothing retailer and a home furnishings store, I must say greeting a customer and making them feel welcome goes a long way in the current retail climate!!!

Portland Dry Goods has an amazing selection of unique yet classic clothing, accessories, and shoes. I thoroughly enjoyed looking through their collection, and hope to go back soon.

Called looking for a Red Wing Chelsea boot, provided model number and size, was told they had them in stock. Drove 1.5 hours and then was very disappointed that they did not have them. Salesperson was not helpful and did not know what items he had in the store. Drove back 1.5 hours empty handed. Poor customer service. Don't recommend. One star because the store has a wide variety of items.

Awesome sales staff. Went in to grab my first pair of raw denim and was given a Bachelors in denim by a gentlemen who had a child on the way. Love my pair of Jean Co. pricey but worth it.

Great selection. Men’s and women’s clothing. They had a huge array of come de garçon wallets and pouches. Lots of classic heritage brands such as carthart and Barbour.

Terrible experience at this store. Bought a wallet there that was defective and was promised an exchange once a new one came in. Never returned my calls and when I stopped in I was told they cannot do anything as their manager is not there. Would never buy anything from there again.

Excellent, and probably the only, source of raw selvedge denim in Maine. Picked up a pair of 3sixteens there and it was a great experience.
