I had this old bike stored in my garage attic for years, torn apart and in a general state of disrepair. Brought it to Port City Bikes where Peter and Karyn got it going with a handful of new and used parts within a day and now should make me a great “campground “ bike. Very happy customer! Thank you for breathing new life into old bikes and saving them from the scrap pile.

11/10 bike shop. Peter and Karyn are extremely kind and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and eager to solve problems. I will absolutely return here and recommend anyone who needs bike related assistance to stop by!

Bought a used bike that had been well refurbished, for a fair price. Friendly staff and great option if you want something used.

Got a run of mill Schwinn bike last year & I have just accepted its flaws. After I popped a tire last week, I took it in to get it repaired and ended up getting a full tune-up on it and maybe it was a blessing to have popped the tire because now it feel like a real bike again! Super nice people thank you

Love this local bike shop. It’s a no-frills operation, for sure, but Peter and Karyn are both super friendly and are a true resource for eager-to-learn home mechanics like me. Peter is always game for questions and even invited me around the counter on my last visit to teach me about the repair I came in for that day. So helpful! It’s great to have a true neighborhood shop in Bayside. Highly recommend their work and service!

These guys have been servicing bikes for decades. They know what they are doing. Services are fairly priced. Personable couple work side-by-side as owners. I walked in off the street and they took immediate care of me and my near 50- year old bike, just as they did for the guy who arrived just behind me. Portland can never have enough small businesses like this one!

We bought a Schwinn bike for my husband on March 24 at Port City Bikes. The owners were friendly and very helpful. They gave us options to choose among and selected bikes based on my husband's height so that the bike would be a comfortable fit. It was a great experience. We recommend them highly and will use them again without hesitation.

Exceptional service and friendliness. I wanted to surprise a friend by fixing their bike in a short time frame; they reprioritized their schedule to help me out and had the bike done with same-hour service. I cannot overstate how thoughtful and meticulous they were. I hope to have another excuse to visit soon.

Even though I didn't find a bike at this store, the owner was still willing to tell me about other stores in the area and even gave me a tip about volunteering for the Great Maine Bike Swap to get a first look at the bikes there. As a result, I was able to get a great deal on a used road bike! The store is somewhat small, but they seem to have everything that you could want packed into it. It makes for a cozy, welcoming atmosphere for anyone interested in bicycles.

I hustled and got there 9 minutes before they closed and they were so polite and helpful. They not only fixed my bike, but offered to tune up other areas that needed attention and I really appreciated that. The cost was more than reasonable and I’m overjoyed to be back up and running again.

Peter and Karyn are great people and their shop is awesome! Great service, bikes, and parts at reasonable prices. This is the place to come to fix up your ride or find a classic steel bike.

Peter is a true bike geek in the best way and focuses on a lot of older more specialized steel and boutique bicycles. He sells used bicycles and can help you find something just right. He can do a quick, inexpensive fix for you and prioritizes those of us that commute by bicycle to get us back on the road quickly. Expect a very casual encounter in this tiny shop and don't hesitate to check back in on their progress or your expected order of some part or another. Very reasonable rates and always good conversation!

Needed a broken spoke replaced on the front wheel of my wife's bike. Spoke was replaced and the wheel trued quickly and at a reasonable price. Great folks and dog friendly.

If there ever was a perfect bike shop this might be it. Worth the money and they do a really good job to educate you on how everything mechanically functions and how to prevent issues.

This is what bike shops should look like in a post-capitalist society! The service is useful, honest, and lacks pretension. I will go out of my way to a shop where I can actually have a normal human interaction with the person working there.

An example of a great small town business. They stick to what they know and are the best at it. Accurate pricing and good for anyone who is looking for honest hard work put into a good tune-up. They'll keep your chain turning.

Just about the coolest place, I've ever been. Pete and Karyn know their stuff and have a great sense of humor! I've bought a few bikes from them and have them tune up my bikes too! Class "A" act.

I had a good experience here. They seem very nice and did what they said they would for the price they said they would. I can't ask for anything more. I won't be going anywhere else. I had a very old beat up bike they brought it back to life.
