I am just so tired of stores that do customer shaming and this is one more place. I have never been here, I came to buy birthday balloons. One associate seemed confused about my inquiries, but was very kind. She checked me out and told me where to get my order. Not a minute later another associate, possibly a Manager, half my age is yelling at me like I’m stupid for standing “in the wrong spot”! I couldn’t even fill out the after survey to describe what happened because “too many words” they only want 1200 characters to explain your experience. This place was not a party.

I always take my kids here to shop for birthday decorations. Didn't have the emoji theme this year, but that was alright, we decided on the cute butterfly theme. Bound to find what you are looking for even if it wasn't the 1st choice.

I’d give zero stars if possible! I bought two single balloons and asked for them to be filled.. 3 employees behind the counter and I’m told only one of them fills balloons and she said she was too busy, the helium tank is literally 2 feet away from the register . I’m confused why the person behind the counter is unable to fill balloons , do you need to be certified to use a helium tank? So now I need to go to Hannaford and pay them $8 to fill my 2 balloons that should have been filled for free at Party City… process needs to be reevaluated at the South Portland store! RIDICULOUS

I would give you a zero if I could!!!We had a celebration of life for a young woman who died in a terrible accident and wanted a cutout of her for the event.There is ZERO quality control with this company. I uploaded an image and it looked great on my computer screen. BUT instead of alerting me that it wasn't a big enough image to create this large cutout, they sent me a completely blurry cutout--10 days later. You couldn't even tell who it was.And there was no time to reorder a new one. All I can say is that you need a VERY large image to do this size of a photo project. And maybe you should go to a company that will tell you the image constraints.

A very large assortment of party supplies for almost every occasion!! Party City also has an extensive variety of Halloween costumes and accessories during the Fall months!! The store also uses a unique system for choosing a costume from there extensive selection!! The system they use helps to utilize the limited space of the store!! The system also helps with keeping the costume area from becoming overly cluttered as well as keeping the costumes in tacked!! So overall I recommend this store for all your celebration needs!!😁

We were sent a large balloon assortment by a family member. There was no name/message, finally tracked down the sender who read us the nice sentiment. When called PCity, they couldn’t have cared less saying “Oh the driver probably lost it”, like it happens all the time. I find that unacceptable, when one has a gift delivered one should be able to count on the message being delivered along with it. And again, they couldn’t have cared less..plenty of other delivery services out there that would bother to care.

There were almost no costume options or accessories and the web site said there items available in store that weren't. 90% of the store is just paper products, balloons and party favors.

Wow, remodel makes it look like a discount store and for all the clutter they don’t carry their normal products. In the entire store I couldn’t find kids birthday invitations- the lady told me they don’t carry them anymore?!? What? No invitations at a party store?!Also it’s 2021, why are we gendering girls vs boys birthdays with huge signs. The remodel is a step back and I’ll take my business elsewhere….and save money too. 2 stars because the balloon selection still seems decent and the employee was understanding.Corporate needs to get it together or I could see Party City as a thing of the past. Guess I’ll go buy invitations on Amazon now.

My daughter's 6th birthday is on the 20th the most important part to me is the custom banner and how excited she is to see it. 5 years I have ordered from party city and this year UPS didint deliver to my address and sent the order back when ive never had a issue in receiving packages and now thanks to that one ups guy I will not have a banner this year for her birthday. Twice I have called and there is nothing party city or a rep will do to make this right let alone re send back my custim banner order or wave the 2 day shipping fee to light up a 6 year old girls birthday. The phone reps just keep telling me to replace the order wait 2 weeks for my refund and replace the order that will not arrive in time for her birthdaywe are never ever ordering from here ever again!

Great selection of party supplies. Good organization it was easy to find what we needed. The price for blowing up standard balloons was a bit pricy so we opted for a helium tank and did them ourselves for less. But overall great trip, and all our party needs were filled!

Went in to return two unopened bags of balloons. I didn't have the receipt, but I did have the card I had used on the purchase. I was offered merchandise credit and told that they could look up my purchase with my card, but the system didn't work that well and they really didn't have time to help me since they were having a managers meeting. They suggested coming back at a later date, which I will, with my receipt. I assume they were discussing customer service and inventive ways to lose business. I will not be returning, there are plenty of other options online and around town.

I like the store for what they carry, but in this trip I found 0 items I went in looking for. Their stocks were so low that nothing useful was left. I asked the clerk for help finding something, and all she did was suggest an aisle to look in. I asked again if she could show me where because i was having trouble. She was adamant about not going over there. I was trying to hurry because it was close to their closing time, but there was no actual help given.

We love Party City. Now only do they have ton of party supplies, costumes, wigs, and balloons but they have a ton of goodies- toys, candy, back to school supplies,seasonal and holiday supplies. The staff is always super friendly & helpful. They are opened right now during the pandemic & mask are required- they have changed up many different things/rules throughout the store to prevent the spreading of covid- you can't try on any costumes or mask, they have the 6 feet spacer in the check out line, they offer hand sanitizer as you walk in. I also seem the cashier clean the door handlers, the credit card machine, and wipe down & use sanitizer on the counter between costumes.

Worst experience ever. They decided to redo store. Shelves empty. And staff very unhelpful. As a matter of fact asked 3 different employees where something was. 2 ignored me and the 3rd said was not there department. Not too happy

There is a large selection covering many, many different events and holidays. I needed props for a photobooth that I was setting up at an office party and found a wide selection of hats, headbands, moustaches, etc.Checkout was friendly and the clerk seemed genuinely interested in chatting - we got more than just the standard pleasantries.

I went in looking for themed beverage napkins, something summery - beach or lobsterbake or sailing... nada. Lots of plain colors and kids' themes, a handful of florals. The small paper plates were $3.50 for a package of 16. I brought about $30 worth of napkins to the register and the cashier asked me for $90. When I corrected her she said, "oh, sorry, I read it backwards"...

It's pretty expensive and not the place I'd recommend if you are going to dress up in a costume. It's very large and they basically have everything you need to dress up as whatever you want but be willing to spend a lot of money. They usually close at 9pm

Wish I could give them negative stars. I was asked for my email address at the time of sale and I said no thanks. They informed me they had to have it for the sale. Now I keep getting junk email from them. I have sent in repeated requests to be removed from the email list. But no they just keep sending me crap.

This store had way more than I was expecting. Prices were clearly labeled, inventory was full and neatly organized. I enjoyed my shopping experience.
