Get Maine Lobster has never failed us. We have been ordering from Mark for years. Our family enjoys seafood in Colorado and we always know we will get the best from Mark and the folks at Get Maine Lobster. We order a wide range of product from Mark therefore I feel like we can give a very honest and reliable review. Our orders consist of many things through the year: lobsters, lobster tails, oysters, mussels, tuna, crab legs, scallops, and even his personal cheesecakes. Not once has an order been delayed nor has anything been missing. A pleasant note always greats us, product is ice cold, and live seafood is top notch. You have to be sure you can rely on your supplier when it comes to food shipments, especially seafood. You can rely on Mark! As with any live animal seafood orders, sometimes things don’t go as planned and Mark is always there to take care of it and make it right. Mark’s company has become a staple in our household and among our friends. Everyone wants in when we say we are ordering from Get Maine Lobster.

I just received the lobster rolls as a Christmas gift. They far exceeded my expectations. They were wrapped really well absolutely fresh and so delicious. My college roommate sent them to me because she knows how much I love lobster rolls. I did not think they could beat hers, but they were certainly equivalent.. I will order again from get Main lobster. Totally delicious. I never in 1 million years thought I could get a Rhode Island lobster. Roll in upstate New York. Great business idea and you do it well.

I was shocked and disappointed about my final order.I cannot comment on the quality of this order because It has not been cooked and eaten. It did arrive frozen and properly packaged.I have previously ordered 5 times before, all containing lobster tails. The quality and taste was exceptional, as was the total experience including the packaging and condition of the contents.Every advertisement specifically states the shipping is direct from Maine, and indicates it is flash frozen and hints that it is freshly caught from Maine water's. The last order originated in Cleveland, Ohio. The packaging is not marked with a use before date, and there is no indication of how long the seafood had been in Cleveland are how it got there.With all the uncertainty I shall not buy from this company again.Update 1/21/24: I immediately received a very informative email explaining the process for getting their products to customers as fast and efficiently as possible. They ship popular products to warehouses that are closer to the final destination to avoid bottlenecks and delays. They assured me that the products from their satellite warehouses were as fresh as from their Maine warehouses.I accept their explanation and am delighted to continue doing business with this fine company. Sorry for the confusion. I highly recommend this business.

This is the third time ordering from here. We are always please with the lobster meat. This time we had two 3lb orders, #803689 and # 803691. Each bag weighed in under. I’m not asking for extra but if you sell by the lb then make sure it weighs out. Other than that, lobster rolls for days!

The lobsters were delivered when promised and were still frozen which was great. The taste and presentation were impeccable however I think one of the lobsters had issues during the processing as most of the top shell was crushed and half of it was soft and disnt really present well at the table. I did my best to salvage it and think I did all right. I don't know anything about lobsters and am thinking that one was kinda like other shell fish as they transition from hardshell to softshell....but overall me and my family were very happy. Thanks Get Maine Lobster.

Fresh seafood delivered overnight from Portland, ME. Mussels & live Lobster arrived today. We cooked the mussels first for an appetizer. They were so delicious, we only got a pic of the empty shells.

I went to visit my daughter and her family in Washington state. I surprised them with a shipment for Labor Day. It was the best gift ever. Lobster rolls, fresh corn and local Mac and cheese. Thank you for all the smiles you provided for my family.

I was visiting family in Florida and wanted to enjoy a nice sauteed Lobster dinner with them, and make lobster rolls the next day. Long family tradition we grew up in Maine with. Not living in Maine any more its hard to just buy lobster meat. My brother recommended to use "Get Maine Lobster". The produce was packed and shipped very well. Was not cheap but the lobster was great. Would buy again.

We get lobster from them a few times a year for special occasions. While we get plenty of great seafood here on the west coast, there's still no replacement for fresh east coast lobster. Its always a treat and has recently turned into a bit of a family affair. Our kids have started anticipating the arrivals and are always excited to unpack the delivery and get cooking. Can't go wrong.

Contacted customer service about a recent order that I was displeased with; followed all instructions for storing, preparing etc and the lobster tails were extremely fishy and non edible. Via the chat conversation with customer service I was told ‘the best we can do is send you a coupon for a future order’. I received a coupon for $15. Sent a follow up email expressing my displeasure with the offer and did not receive a reply.They do not stand by their product. Told them to void my $15 coupon. Will not order again.Found another option that guarantees their product: All Fresh Seafood

My last order (and it will be my last order) was for 8 5-6 oz tails. Not one of them were 5 oz and most ran 2.4, 2.7, 3.1 and 3.6 oz. The largest of the 8 was 4.1oz.Additional Information - Was contacted by Bridget from GML in order to "make things right". I had ordered 8 5-6 oz tails for around $160. I received maybe half that amount from a weight standpoint making the relative cost $320. Bridget said that they would generously offer me a $25 gift card toward my next order from GML. Really? What a joke.I am contacting the Maine consumer affairs and the FDA for false advertising. Would someone else like my gift card code?

At first, we just purchased live lobster at Christmas ... then, the pandemic came. We have since enjoyed Get Maine Lobster's lobster tails, mussels, scallops, amazing blue fin tuna ... AND more live lobster. Service is great, food is better, and you are supporting local businesses. 14/10 I say.

I read good reviews of this company and decided to try them. I frequently deal with Fossil Farms and D'Artagnan. I placed my order (GML232828) and selected a date for delivery. That date was 12/27/2021. I stayed at home so that I was present for the delivery because I knew it need to be handled promptly. It never came. My order arrived the next day and it was partially thawed, not as frozen as it should have been to keep it safe. 1 pound of Tiger shrimp and 5 pounds of Jonah crab claws. I emailed Get Maine Lobster and I was told to just 're-freeze the crab claws and shrimp'. My wife made me throw away the shrimp because she didn't know how long it was thawed for and did not want to risk getting sick. I agreed. Come New Year's Eve, I took out 2 pounds (I have a scale) of crab claws for my wife and I to enjoy. Didn't happen. The crab claws were mealy and looked to have little fat pebbles in them. I am completely disappointed in this company and their lack of customer service. A red flag I should have noticed is that there is no Contact Us on the home page. I had to search it. How do they sleep at night?

First time ordering from GML. Always a bit hesitant that our expectations will be met.I placed an order for 16 lobsters but had to increase to 20 for our annual clam bake. Two order numbers...two shipping numbers. I contacted GML on Thursday for a status check to calm my nerves. Within 10 minutes I had a reply. Who does that anymore? Reassured they would be on time. They just arrived and will be ready to cook early tomorrow afternoon. Outstanding customer service, great selection and pricing. Does not get any better than this! Thank you!

We ordered 12 lobsters for Christmas Dinner. They never showed up. The company said they would send new lobsters, but because this was a one-time dinner and everyone had left town, we no longer needed them. We just wanted our money back. The company refused to reimburse us, stating that they couldn't because the carrier would not refund them. But that is not our problem - we ordered from Get Maine Lobster, not from FedEx. Instead they keep offering to send more lobsters at a later date, which we no longer need. Though the prices were good, we never got lobsters and need a refund. We will not use this company again.

Ordered the 8X 1.5 lbs and a pound of steamers for Father's Day. Arrived early with the ice packs still frozen. My wife had hers and the free crab leg pieces. Arrived alive and kicking. So meaty and sweet. And plenty of meat for lobster rolls. Felt like I was back in Cape Cod.I found that the brioche buns, split on top and buttery are perfect for the lobster rolls.

#1. Ordered eight 6-7 oz. lobster tails. Received them promptly but the average size was 5.8 oz. (Still paid full price though). Had to have them delivered because I don't live just around the corner. I will, and do, pay additional for quality food but if I'm shorted it does get my attention.#2. Even though my state, nor does Maine, charge sales tax on food items they stuck a "gourmet tax" on the product! I contacted their competitors and they don't charge this "tax" and neither does Costco or Amazon. So what's up with that? A little extra pocket change?I figure that between the overcharge for the lobster and the BS tax they have attached I should be due a couple of 8-9 oz. lobster tails, but that won't happen. You know what they say: "Fool me once, your fault. Fool me twice, my fault.We are still in negotiations about these items but for a first-time customer they have made one hell of a first impression!

2 reason I purchased.1. my wife loves lobster. Per her best lobster she has had in a long time , even better than what she had a some high-end restaurants. She was especially please because they were frozen and she was skeptical , but she was very please. I take some credit as the chef but I am only as good as the product I had to work with2. Sea food watch's unscientific boycott. Liberal think tank on the west coast making a decision affecting the livelihood of Maine fisherman, There is no proof in the past 20 years on lobster gear has cause the death of right whales. I have ordered from Get Maine Lobster many times. I have gotten Lobster Roll Kit, Frozen Lobster Meat, Maine Lobster Tails (5-6 oz), Fresh Lobster Meat, Jonah Crab Claws and Stuffed Clams. I have been totally satisfied with all of the items I have purchased. Ordering is very easy and you can pick your delivery date. Taste is very good, amount of product is good and the shipping, packaging and delivery have been very good. Advance notification is excellent. I will continue to buy from this company again.

Thank you for such great service. I ordered two live lobsters for my father's birthday. Being from Maine as a kid, he loved them. They came on the day we needed them to. Ordered the Jonah Crab Claws for the holidays. They came in frozen and we thawed them in the refrigerator overnight per the instructions. Went to serve them to some guests we had over for an appetizer before dinner and luckily tried one in the kitchen before serving. Claws were inedible - as soon as you cracked them they were dripping wet and the meat was mushy and soaked like a sponge. Had to throw them out. Customer service would only offer a gift certificate of half the price we had originally paid - why give them more money. Beware of dealing with this company.I did contact customer service and was only offered a credit for less than half of what I had already spent on the claws.

Buyer beware for lobster meat. I will write exactly what is in their ads so there is no misunderstanding. I bought the Top Deal for lobster meat. It says " Maine Lobster Claw, knuckle and leg meat". They say this is usually reserved for restaurants. I fell for the "wicked good lobster meat deal".It was terrible. The lobster was tasteless, stringy, clumped together, no claw meat (only the hard tip) DO NOT waste your money on their "DEALS". You will be disappointed. There are many more lobster vendors that offer great product and don't manipulate the ad to get rid of left over lobster.

Although expensive, “Get Maine Lobster” is the best I’ve ever eaten! Over the last 5 years plus, I’ve tried different sizes of tails, lobster roll kits, just picked lobster meat, clam chowder, and Jonah crab claws. All were terrific except the Jonah claws—the extremely hard shells made them impossible for my weak hands to handle even with the wood mallet provided. But if a bit of extravagance or one of their really good sales suits your plans, “Get Maine Lobster” is The Company to use. Delivery always on time, good cooking instructions, and quality cold packaging to insure delicious products. When I win the lottery, I’m ordering a treat every month!
