I was greeted warmly by several Ace team members; Jessica was identified as the one who knew most about what I had come to purchase. She spent time with me to be sure she understood what I was needing and then proceeded to show me everything I needed. She didn't push the most expensive, nor the least expensive...but she recommended the items she thought would be the best to use. A great wonderful experience. Thank you, Eldredge!

Good store. Workers are mixed, some are knowledgeable, some are not at all. Cashier is the only person masked up to the hilt. I asked why, she said she likes to wear it. Insane!! Makes me avoid the store and go elsewhere.

Lovely, awesome, down-to-earth, customer-focused service with a smile. I needed a faucet grommet for an ancient out-of-production unit. Three different sales reps spent a good ten minutes trying to find a suitable replacement (and finally succeeded) -- all for just a 40 cent washer. Then when I found that I only had a credit card to pay for it, they gave me TWO washers gratis. Nice, nice folks.

As of today, Eldredge's is my favorite store in Portland. Both the salespeople inside and the employees in the yard are nothing less than wonderful--smart, cheerful, helpful. The store is well-stocked and easy to navigate. Really, what's not to love?

I am so thrilled to have found Eldredge, which is a top-notch, quality hardware store! They are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If, perchance, they don't already have what you are looking for, they will get it faster than you can order it online! Don't go out and order replacement parts just because you can't find something. They have answers you haven't even thought of and will end up saving you a lot of money. This happened to me when they re-keyed a lock from a sliding patio door, saving me $80 for an unnecessary replacement part. And this, while I waited! No more big box stores for me!!!

Got some lumber here to trim out 3 windows and the wood cost the same as Lowes but was much higher quality. I know there is a lot of volatility in supply and pricing. That said, I recommend Eldredge for your next project. Plus: the employees are smart and experienced.

I enjoy going to elderidge for supplies. Very helpful staff and friendly. Although I do find it hard to pull myself away from all the new Dewalt tools.. Ugh. Want 'em all!

This is my go to Hardware store because of their expertise and the stock that they carry including lumber is excellent. Great service, clean and friendly a delightful experience.

Easy in and out and good service but you pay for it. For example red cedar siding is $2.33 per linear foot but at Home Depot it is $1.39 per linear foot. Considering the amount I purchased I would have saved $300 at Home Depot. So take that into account. Almost a dollar more per linear foot is too much for the same product. I believe in buying local getting close to double the cost doesn't make sense.

So, they have excellent staff, lots of products, well-labeled. But. Memorial Day weekend. A new business. I have owned a few, with only one failure in my life so far. To me an axiom for a successful business is "you gotta be there". This weekend they lost some significant business, which I had to take to Home Depot. I am unimpressed.

Good store. I really love coming here for hardware. Helpful people. They really go out of their way to give you personal advice. But the hours are pretty bad. I'm not sure how I'm ever supposed to buy something here. They close at 5, and that's when I get off work.

They have pretty much the same stuff as Home Depot or Lowes, but its cleaner , brighter and organized such i don't have to walk as much as in the other places.The staff are nice and knowledgeable, that is actually a big difference because I gave up on getting a straight answer at HD/lowes.The lumber store in the back is awesome - much better than any HD/Lowes.Recommend!

Went into Eldredge at 4:50 (10 mins prior to closing) looking for replacement hardware for my daughter’s crib after moving and misplacing the hardware.John greeted me with a big smile and checked in to see if I needed help. Together we collected everything we needed, even when everything was in Metric and we had to convert over to SAE to make things work.John was friendly, helpful, and most of all really grateful to help me out at the end of the day. I cannot thank him and he entire staff enough. The service was exceptional and I felt I made a good friend in the process. My daughter thanks you!

I love Eldredge Lumber, they still feel like a small town lumber yard. The staff is night and day more knowledgeable and courteous than you will get at one of the bigger stores IE. Home Depot or Lowe's. I would definitely recommend this lumber yard

Eldredge is perfectly placed, they don't have everything but they have enough that I don't have to drive through town to get anywhere else. The people make the place though. I've never had a negative experience dealing with the guys at Eldredge.
