My wife and family have been camping here for years. And always went for clean up weekend. I tryed many times to book cleaning up weekend. Never got contacted back. I find this very disrespectful. The lady on the phone sounds very nasty. Long storie short. When it went to new management the place went to hell. My family wont be going back. They act like we want their buissness, Not them wanting ours..If you go here. Good luck.

Horrible experience! Trees rained pine pitch continuously all over our new motorhome and Jeep. Took days to clean our vehicles. Our neighbors who are seasonal residents were complaining about it also. To walk anywhere pine needles and sap stuck to our shoes in layers. The laundry room was full of spiders and cobwebs and appears to have not been cleaned in awhile. We had to clean the washers and dryers and flat surface’s before we could do our laundry. Fortunately, we had to leave early due to a sudden death in our family. Of course no refund for the remaining half of our stay. Expected that part. Very disappointed! Will never be back!

Since new owners the campground has gone down hill. Multiple staff give you different answers . Treat our paying visitors terribly. We got threatened before quite time that "she better not have to come back to our site. Quite time is 11:00pm " the office staff are not polite or welcoming. Staff can not have adult conversations. Used to be fun laid back campground now one that is not worth returning to . I hope other campgrounds in the area get the business. Sad to see a campground get run into the ground .

Overall the campground is nice. It’s fairly quiet, staff is reasonable, location is nice and the lake is beautiful. The map is a little bit misleading though. We reserved a tent site that appeared to be very close to the water and right next to the dog beach, but there’s a ton of wooded area between the site and the water.Prices for rentals and things at the store feel a bit high as well in comparison to other campgrounds I’ve been to, but not too bad.Overall solid camping experience.

My family and I love Poland Springs Campground! We have been camping here for 3years now and will continue doing so!!!!The owners and the staff are always so helpful and kind! And they work so hard to keep the grounds and public areas maintained! The lake is so beautiful and refreshing. Seeing the Eagles every year is an amazing sight! We bring our family paddle boat with us and they let us keep it down by the lake while we are at camp. Our kids have so much fun every day all day! From the arcade to the pool to the snack shack and all the fun activities planned out, not once in a whole week do I ever hear my kids say they are bored!!I can't thank the owners enough for making our family vacations possible!!!!

The campground is too commercialized, and the camp sites are nearly on top of each other, it was a bit loud and the bathrooms were a bit far away from each other and there was only two bathroom buildings. They have no wash sinks for people to wash dishes. The dump station was in an awkward place and made it hard for people to use and block roads because of the awkward area. They didn’t clean the sites very well between campers either. And the dumpster was in an awkward spot as well. I will not be returning to this campground.

The sites are really big, especially down closer to the water. The road is in really rough shape and needs maintenance. Our camper bottomed out on one of the raised humps in the road. Could not understand why water is on one side of the site and electric is on the other. Must be an older campground. Nice picnic area and a great place to launch small personal watercraft. There's also a dock. No real beach or waterfront for swimming. There's a small dog beach that might be 10 ft wide. Really just a good place to throw the ball in the water for your dog. The pond is really pretty and is a good place to kayak and fish. Snack shack food is pretty good. There's a great arcade room for kids. We did not use the pool, but it did appear to be clean and maintained.

Really nice campground, well kept and very clean. The owner is awesome and staff is friendly and know how important it is that you enjoy your stay. Bathrooms are updated and they keep them clean. Sites are well maintained. Depending on where you are,and the size of your camper there is plenty of room and privacy. Most of the sites are under trees and all dirt. I purchased an extra outdoor rug as I stayed there many years ago. Pool is nice 4' max, great for kids. The water is higher than it used to be, not much of a beach area to lay out in the sun. (The only complaint my wife had) The swimming in lower rang pond is awesome. Nice and sandy, no muck or rocks. Fishing is great and the dog beach is a nice touch. If you have children, they will love it! So may activities for the kids, not just on the weekends. Would recommend this campground to family and friends.

Nice campground but sites alot closer than we are used to. Could only bring 2 of our 3 dogs. Had entertainment and food trucks if that's what you like camping

My family had the opportunity to stay at the Poland Spring Campground for a few days. It was larger and busier than our usual stay. We unfortunately had campers on the left, right, front and backside of us. Luckily, many vacationers may not care. If you are concerned with privacy, just be strategic and ask lots of questions before reserving your campsite. With so many visitors, it was amazingly clean and quiet with polite staff. We enjoyed our stay with our grandchildren and our two dogs. The kids loved the swimming area, arcade, and snack shack (Carnival food prices = $$). If you bring your dogs along, there are great trails for walking them. However, do not get too excited about the "dog beach" that is promoted. When I finally located the sign, there was a short, narrow path that opens into a very small beach area that might fit two dogs at the max. Maybe if the brush was trimmed away from the shoreline it may not appear so small. The campground is conveniently located a few miles from gas stations, Dunkin' Donuts, and Hannaford. Dispite a few minor issues, I would give it another shot and recommend this as a great spot to bring your family.

Was there Labor Day weekend first time. Seemed pretty good. I didn't interact a lot with the staff but the lady cooking at the restaurant was very nice. The store is very lean, almost empty, at least at the end of the season. Activities seemed good. They had a good band there one night. There is one new bath house and one older. Find the newer one for a shower. The sites are woodsy which is ok. Kayaking the lake is great and there are some walking trails around. Some of the roads in the campground could use a grader. Almost no mosquitos. Overall good experience.

Nice campground on Lower Range Pond. Plenty of sites to choose from. Have family that has a site there all season for several years now and really enjoy staying out there. Pool or the pond are great to swim in depending on temperature and the number of campers. Place to put in a small boat if desired. Owners and staff are fantastic. Have no complaints about this campground.

These are dishonest people. I called to ask about cancelling my reservation 25 days in advance of my scheduled arrival and was told it would be no problem. They sent me a link to a form that said "Any cancellations within 14 days of arrival will be charged a full deposit". I filled out the form and received confirmation showing a credit to be issued. After two weeks I called back asking for the status of my credit and they said I would not receive one because I cancelled less than 30 days prior. I protested, quoted their website, and said if they were clear about this I would never have cancelled. They acknowledge they reservation is no longer available and they refuse to give me a credit for my $322 deposit. The owner, Morgan won't speak with me directly and the office staff is no longer taking my calls. I don't like writing bad reviews but these folks are clearly dishonest and other people need to know.

This was the worst campground I have stayed at in 4 years. The person checking us in was rude. The sites we were given were too small and to many trees to get into even though I let them know the length of my camper. I was offered another site with no sewer. As my stay was ending, the children’s camp, which was directly behind my campsite, decided to have a full fireworks display. We were not given any warning and it was so load that my dog tried hiding. There is no supervision of the kids here and they are riding bikes, yelling, and being very loud through out the night. I never saw any employees working or being involved with the campground. The grounds need a lot of work and my site was infested with fire ants. Don’t waste your money.Since I wrote this review I was able to have a conversation with the owner. He was polite and seeked me out to discuss my concerns before I left the campground. We discussed my concerns and was very open to the conversation. He explained that the campground was not made aware of the fireworks prior to that evening. He said he was contacting the town to discuss these concerns and ask for a heads up the next time. We discussed the other issues and I felt satisfied with his answers and concerns. The owner wants to have feedback so ho can continue to make his campground what he expects it to be. He went so far as to refund both myself and the person I was camping with, a one night refund. I feel comfortable changing my rating to a three and giving this campground another try in the future.

Great campground, plenty of stuff for kids!My only complaint is that the water and electrical hookups were not thought out in the layout. I rented a pull-thru site and as I was was parking the camper I realized that the hookups wouldn't reach without 30' extensions. Turned the camper around and got it set up only to have the door and awning facing an embankment instead of our friends that we went with. Not ideal, but not the end of the world! They had Fiesta Weekend when we went, kids had a bunch of games to play and the pool was nice as well!

This is a very wooded campground! If you are not comfortable with driving your big rig yet do not camp here. The sites are very small and they are not graveled. The campground is very quiet. They charged a 15.00 dollar fee for my dogs. There is a 10.00 deposit for the gate key card. The card fee is not listed on the website so be prepared to put down the 10.00 deposit. If you are going to be late make sure you call well in advance as the office closes very early. The road into the campground is dirt and quite rough. They say there is a dog beach however it is so small I personally would not consider it a dog beach. With the camper and truck in the site we had approximately an 8 by 12 area that had a picnic table and fire ring. Last but not least it is not level. ( maybe for drainage purposes when it rains) there was what seemed like a trough at the back of the site.

One of the two playgrounds was completely closed down and the one that was open had broken dangerous parts on it. The rides for children at the camp store are on and lit up but don't work which greatly upset my daughter. One bathroom makes you pay for showers and the other doesn't. Great camping though.

Clean campground, not much going on for adults, plenty for kids. Sites have a lot of roots, not spacious. Staff seems pleasant. Come prepared, not much in the store, and expensive with what they do have. Find the stay expensive for what they offer for activities, and fun. Campground a few miles away (Two Lakes) less expensive, offers better sites, and at least a dance for everyone to enjoy. Probably won't camp here again. Just our personal preference. Other's might love!

Such a great place to come and relax! Morgan is a great host and very welcoming as was all his staff. Everyone there just seemed happy and enjoying themselves. Great area down by the water to swim, picnick or four legged friends can use the dog beach! We will be back for sure.

Great place for the whole family. Pet's are allowed also. They have to be leashed at the campsite but they can go. Activities everyday scavenger hunt, watermelon eating contest, water balloon games, etc. Kids can ride there bikes around, swim at the pool or lake, fish, rent canoes/kayaks. You shouldn't hear there bored. Price is family reasonable

Such an awesome campground. The lake was so pretty. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, very accommodating. Rented a kayak and strolled around the lake. Cannot wait to go back!

This campground and the new owners are nice, however it's a little busy and loud for our taste. If you have a family with children, this is definitely a great campground. Us older folks prefer more peace and quiet 😊

Nice campground staff was friendly. Lots of things to do swimming fishing and kayaking. Showers and bathrooms were clean but the shower water wouldn't get hot

A lot of activities for preschool/elementry age kids. Nice clean bathrooms and laundry room. Pool and store onsite are also nice. Some sites are really long/deep and nice. Others (like ours) are very narrow, hardly room for the slides to open, not a lot of outdoor living space especially if you are seasonal like we are. Also all dirt sites. There is enough rain that the sites could be grass/concrete area for RV/tents. So much dirt and mud! Overall we have enjoyed our stay.

We traveled 1300 miles to Poland Springs for a wedding and extended vacation. We arrived to find the roads in the camp ground narrow and badly pitted. The camp sites were eroded and very uneven. We paid for 3 nights with full hookups. (Water, sewer, and electric) But if you run the air conditioner you get charged an extra $2 per day. The showers cost 25¢ for 7 min. We had another couple that traveled to Maine for the wedding come for dinner one evening around 7pm and they had to pay $12 to visit and were told they have to be out by 9pm. We don't mind paying resort prices but this campground was NOT resort quality. And to pay for an electric site then get charged extra for using it seems absurd to us! We would not recommend this campground if you have a large camper. (Our fifth wheel is 28ft and getting in the site was tight) Overall, we were highly dissatisfied.

We have been camping all over New England for 14 years and usually stay in state or national parks, but we wanted hook ups for our new camper, and location was convenient to family living in Maine. Overall, I'd rate this campground a 3, or fair. Very expensive and sites are small, too close together and power and water hookups are old... Not my favorite place, but served the purpose...
