Let me start off saying the location is great and the staff was friendly. Those were sadly the highlights, though. We went on a winter day, and the staff seemed very overwhelmed. I wish the communication had been better. We made it clean when our ferry would arrive and told it would be fine. Our food took almost 40 mins to arrive. We had to get it boxed to leave and run to the ferry. The bill also had food we didn't receive. I ordered a grilled cheese, and it was cold and not melted. It might have been an off day, but I was disappointed, especially given the high cost.

This is a great place to have a drink while waiting for the ferry back to Portland. We didn't try any food, but the drinks were reasonably priced, the service was good, and the views from the deck were great. We were here in the beginning of the shoulder season, so can't speak to how it might be during peak months, but we got in very easily, had a nice time, and everyone was accommodating and friendly.

Right next to the ferry. Nice friendly staff. The food and atmosphere was so amazing we stayed another hour and caught a later ferry. The oysters and fried flounder sandwich were delicious. They have a bar and lounge area with ith pool table. Outdoor seating. Lunch menus is from the outstanding Milly's food truck right by the restaurant and dinner starts at the restaurant at 3. Check out their website for more information but definitely give them a try.

A great restaurant with a beautiful view, delicious food, and attentive wait staff. Went during a lull, so didn’t get a full feel of the atmosphere. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Maine. We ordered the fried fish (catch of the day) and a lobster roll (a must-have!). Both were tasty and well portioned for the price and quality of the ingredients.Only thing we didn’t love was the music volume. The live music was lovely, but the volume was too much for a lull period.

Nice location. Friendly staff but the service was slow and they served me the worst hash browns I've ever had- over fried to the point the inside was as hard as the outside and couldn't bite through it.My eggs were good but bread was black on one side and the other people at my table said their food was all a bit charred as well.I do think the food would have been good if it hadn't been over cooked so much but we didn't get to taste that version. Also hard to give a good review to a place that served such a totally inedible hash brown.

We were looking forward to visiting with old friends at Jones Landing after a nice tour of Peaks Island. We arrived at about 1:50 PM and were taking a couple of pictures on the lawn and entryway by the street. They were setting up for what they called "Reggae Fest". As we were heading up the walk, a young man with a cash drawer was walking down from the restaurant and advised us that there was a $20 pp cover starting at 2:00PM. We said great because it was only 1:58 so we got lucky (see time stamp on picture). He said, no, that they were charging the cover as of now. We told him that we were only there for a short time as we were likely taking the next ferry back to Portland. He said that unfortunately he could not make an exception... so we left. Never to return again.Don't get the wrong impression. We are not cheap... we had a nice lunch earlier at the Inn at Peaks Island and spent $280 for four. We don't mind paying for something that is due but we will not stand for this sort of senseless money grab. We should thank them I suppose because we ended up walking up the street to the Island Lobster Company restaurant and had a great time.

I love coming here in the summer. The drinks are always expensive, so keep that in mind, and they're tiny, unless you get a rum bucket. The bartenders are good. The view is incredible. But for the love of God, they need to do something about the bathroom situation. Two tiny stalls for women is not enough. Every time I come here the line for the bathroom is always between 5 and 10 deep. Which is ridiculous.

DO NOT GET LOBSTER HERE. My whole table was extremely disappointed. I got the tail and it came with a "salad" that was literally just a couple pieces of lettuce. My mediocre potatoes came out over 15 minutes after we all finished our meal and the tail was the smallest I've ever seen and the flavor was off. It took a while to order a drink. Great view and amazing cocktail "piña coloda", and always a plus for live music. But the food and service was poor and we spent over $200.

Lovely spot with lovely people. Only wish the veggie burger was less expensive than it is, it does feel odd to pay $18 for a very obviously frozen veggie patty on a bun with no acoutrements. I'm told that the food past that is lovely and the portions are generous as heck. They also provide much needed community space for ordinary nights out alongside karaoke, live music, and trivia. Overall, a wonderful place with lovely and attentive people.

We had an ok dinner at Jones Landing. It wasn't too busy and we had time to kill before the next ferry. The cheese n things board was a little disappointing, would have loved some jam or honey to put on top. My friend had the fish chowder and very much enjoyed that. I loved my fried flounder with the potatoes but I wasn't a fan of the cole slaw. The view was great but we didn't care for the live music that was playing.

Jones Landing is perfectly located right off the boat on the left. They have reggae Sundays and now a craft beer tap takeover on Wednesdays. The views of the water and or Portland, Maine are breathtaking from the balcony of the restaurant.

While the food and drinks were fine, our service was ridiculous. For an arrival at 1:30 PM, it had mostly died down from the lunch rush with few arrivals and most tables leaving while we were there. We were sat quickly but waited over 10 minutes to be spoken to, with no acknowledgment of our wait. We ordered a single round of drinks and an appetizer to share, and glad we didn’t get much further. We were one of the 5 (maximum) tables our server had to manage at any given time, one of which leaving while we were there, so I struggle to consider being “very busy” as a justification for the service. We had someone else bring the appetizer and quickly leave, and while we had intended to order additional drinks, never could flag him down to reorder. Once we asked for the tab, our server proceeded to do random work like refill water pitchers before closing out our bill. After gathering our payment method, he continued to do other things while we waited for our credit card back. He even lost our card, attempting to return it and realizing he had not yet ran it or something.Recommend the food, don’t recommend the place or service.

Went in a Sunday to enjoy the live reggae music. Awesome way to spend a Sunday out near the water and in the sun. Bartenders we're phenomenal. Can't wait to go again.

Great restaurant just by the ferry dock. Had beer, coffee and berry crumble on the lawn. Great service and food.

Wish I read the reviews before we came! Service was extremely slow as others have said, but our server was really nice and sweet. We missed our ferry and had to catch the next one an hour later. The seats outside are uncomfortable as well.Got the catch of the day and wished I didn't. Super thin slice of flounder filet with lots of breading that had no flavor except oil. Plate was loaded with flavorless fries and flavorless slaw. Got a flight of oysters and they were extremely small. The only thing I personally enjoyed was the blueberry pie that wasn't overly sweet. Other than that, great view, calming vibe and atmosphere. Come for the vibes but not the food lol.

Inimitable charm, top tier food & beverage, enthusiastic team.Jones Landing sticks out as a shining example of the hospitality & magic of Peak’s Island, while striding beside the best restaurants & watering holes that so innumerably dot Portland.Quaint & cool island vibes set the stage for a lovely experience at Jone’s, wether dining or simply stopping for a pint and a game of pool. The atmosphere is immaculate; seamlessly blending fun times and phenomenal food in a stylish and natural manner.A menu that is notably short provides everything it needs to and more regardless of it’s brevity; balanced cocktails are deliberately crafted by a competent and knowledgeable bar staff, whilst well-portioned and flavorful dishes emerge quickly from an inspired and meticulous kitchen, curated with love and immense skill by a dedicated & charismatic head chef savant.Jone’s program is flawlessly executed on the front side by a friendly and efficient collection of passionate industry professionals, and the clientele include friendly, fun-loving yet stoic and respectful locals.Experiencing Peaks Island and Jone’s Landing for the first time with six other young men on a bachelor party excursion, we were welcomed with the most open of arms on more than one excruciatingly enjoyable occasion. To be so delighted and included as a group of strangers speaks not only to an excellence of hospitality & craft but to the peaceful and inclusive mindset of an island community that is so very well represented by this absolute gem of an establishment.Frothing to return. Do yourself a tremendous favor and make it a point visit. Could not recommend enough.

This was the most disastrous dining experience of our lives. Our server was so incompetent and bad I just have no words. 45 minutes for drinks? 1 hr 45 min wait for food and then tells us the kitchen printer stopped working but doesn’t do anything to make it right and is rude about it? Another 40 mins for a drink refill. No apology, no kindness, rude bartenders. I’ve been in the industry for 20 years I know the drill - kind communication goes a long way and this place is lacking on all fronts.

This place has the best potential but the service is extremely slow and spotty. The food also has the potential but it’s just ever so off compared to the prices you are paying. We got the ribs and the cole slaw portion was may be a large spoonful and the cornbread was in deprecate need of some midwestern love. Not the worst but not fully worth the money.

The prices are far too high for the quality of food and drinks on offer. The service was above average, all the staff were courteous and attentive. The menu is limited, which would be fine if they were all good, but all 5 entrees we ordered left a lot to be desired. In their favor, the French fries were excellent, and the only reason for the two star rating. The fish was sloppily coated with half cooked batter, the burger Patties were good but the buns fell apart in our hands, the jerk chicken sandwich was a wet mess without any real flavor. The fish chowder was passable but watery. It’s a newly opened full service restaurant, so it may improve, but the fact that it is run by an event caterer worries me. I had flies landing all over me and my meal, at the end of the meal we noticed the fan above covered with at least a dozen more buzzing about. The drinks are served in small cups, the water is still bottles at the table with no ice, and overall we just didn’t have a good time, which was compounded when we saw the bill.

Come for the views! Be prepared to spend some time here, but the outdoor patio is the perfect perch to wait for your food. And be aware that you can no longer take food from Millies Skillet onto their porch, even with a drink from the bar. My kids had a wild upside down grilled chee$e and our server was understanding we had to catch the ⛴️ and helped us get our food to go.

I love taking the ferry over to Jones Landing! It is a 15 minute ride that puts me into vacation mode every time.Their food is fresh and tasty! The staff is always friendly and polite. There is no rush, more coffee, food, drinks...Their Onion Tart is perfect, full of flavor with a lightly dressed salad and edible flowers! Oysters on the half shell are never wrong or try their Oyster Trio! Yumm.
