The south Paris family dollar, it was the worst experience, the manager Tammy shouldn’t be a manager, she’s mean disrespectful and a liar . I went in on Sunday 3/10/24 at about 1:40-2:00 I bought a double pack of scotch tape and a fire starter light, both things came to $6.06 I handed her a $20.00 bill and a dime. I took my stuff and went out to the car to discover that she gave me change back for a $10 bill that’s not right I brought it to her attention and she told me that I was accusing her of stealing my money which I clearly was not she got mad and she said so you’re calling me a liar you’re calling me a thief I said no I said I said you accidentally made a mistake and gave me back change for $10 bill when I clearly gave her a 20 then she said well the only way to find this out is if I count my drawer so I told her to go ahead and count her draw which she did but she was having a hard time concentrating on counting her drawer because there were some people in line behind me so she told me that she had to recount it and told me to go stand over to the side so I went over and I stood over to the side and after the customers cleared out she proceeded to recount the drawer again she claims it was still right on which was not because the $20 bill is all I had in my pocket so I know for a fact that I gave her a 20 she looked at me and she said why are you accusing me of stealing your money I don’t want your money I have my own money you damn crack head! She’s lucky I had a birthday party to go to I’ll tell you that right now because I was so mad for manager to call a customer a crackhead that’s not cool very unprofessional and now I know a lot of people that will never go into that store again this managers name is Tammy in case I haven’t so that in the beginning thank you

Family dollar may be affordable for current economic problems however the customer service let alone attitude directed toward people who are struggling is appalling to say the least, sighing and and being clearly upset with voiding an order because the customer has to cancel some items is rude and beyond disgusting for a response to someone who is struggling financially and is just trying to by food for their family. Aside from common decency I’d be disgusted to know my own coworker or employees would be acting such a way to customers when customer service is in the job description. Sad.

The staff is amazing! Helpful, friendly and kind. The store is consistent with keeping items generally in the same place which makes it easier to make quick purchases even though its bigger than the convenience store. The prices are definitely not in line with the name of the store, finding anything for a dollar there is a rarity and easy to spend a fortune.

The store sends coupons to your phone to clip. You go to use it. Then it isnt in your coupons. And you dont get the deal. What's the point in shopping there if you can't use coupons
