Alright so let’s start this review off with the fact that I am not a Cannabis shopper and did not purchase anything to give a review on the product itself….So now you’re asking, why is she reviewing this business if she doesn’t shop here?! Good question 😏 one I will answer if you keep reading.In typical weekend fashion I did some poking around the shops and one of my favorite places to check out are the antique shops/flea markets. Now while roaming around one of the local favorite shops, I stumbled across a set of stairs that used to lead up to a second floor of the antique shop… this time there was a bunch of signage calling out “The Hideaway”. So being me… I explored!The door was locked but I could see people inside so I knocked and was quickly let in. The person on the other side greeted me with a smile and nicely asked for my ID. Puzzled on why I would need an ID to enter a store and even more intrigued at what was inside I handed over my ID. It was scanned and I was allowed in! SCORE! But wait… what did I gain entry to 🤔🤔🤔 you guessed it Oxfords first 21+ recreational use cannabis store!Now while it wasn’t something I was shopping for I had to check it out! The team was eager to help and answer any questions (good thing cause I know nothing about this hah). I learned that they’re from Maine! Veteran owned and eager to provide great customer service along with what I assume is a killer product as it was busy and many people were buying. They have daily specials!!! If you don’t see the signage JUST ASK!!! They’ll tell you all about them 🤗Now of course being me I had to do more digging after I left… cause wait Rec stores are a thing now?! Hmmm well I did some price comparison and they by far beat out anyone I found! Now add in their specials and you’ve got amazing prices!I’m not done!!! They also offer Maine Artisans! That’s right! You can find art work and other crafty things from local Maine artists! And they intend to grow this side of the business as artisan show interest!While I wasn’t shopping for their product, I still have to give them 5 stars as they blew my mind with their customer service skills and community spirit! If you’re a cannabis shopper I HIGHLY recommend this store!Find it above your famous Oxford Antique store just before you hit the Oxford Walmart on your way to the mountains. Or just after you pass Walmart on your way back!Psst don’t forget to check out the accessories and other things they sell too! I may need that locking backpack in the future guys! So keep ‘em in stock!

The Hideaways is definitely the highest quality and best priced dispensary in the area.Luckily I was blessed with Lindsay O helping me with my purchases. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the strains and what can help me with comfort I appreciate Lindsay and all the staff’s help with checking me in and making me feel comfortable. The staff are very knowledgeable and so kind and helpful. Prices are great as well. There are other rec shops but the hideaway by far has been the best place for any and everything I've ever wanted or needed. I love the personal friend family atmosphere that you don't find most places. I give them 5stars and also recommend them to others. To me they are family!!

Walked into the shop, which was literally hidden away like the name suggested, and was greeted by Jaime immediately. She verified my I.D and then when I mentioned the deal that grabbed my eye, she helped me make my selection. Jaime also signed me up into rewards very smoothly and mentioned I get a freebie on my birthday next month! Superb salesmanship and great shop!

What an absolute treat it was to discover this hidden gem of a place! After stopping into high rollers right down the road not knowing quite what the laws here in ME are. (we’re from upstate ny) they informed us of all laws very professionally and that we would need to have a med card to purchase from them. high rollers speaking so fondly of the hideaway being recreational…it would be our next stop obviously! Finding the hideaway was super easy especially being right above an antique shop that has rooms of cool oddities to look through for days BUT only after you finish getting those top shelf green goodies right upstairs… safe to say this will be a return destination on my list when I’m back in town 👌🏻
